Unlocked to quad on my MSI 870A and overclocked to 3.9 utilizing MSI auto OC button. Employing this with a CooLIT Vantage A.L.C. water cooler and right after 24 hours of steady Prime 95 temps had been recorded at 46c. Ummm at this price you want me to come up with a con?

Was capable to quickly unlock the 2 additional cores with an ASUS M4A79XTD motherboard. I've pushed the cores to their limits and have had no difficulties with stability. Haven't overclocked however, but intend on carrying out so in the future. The stock cooler is a tiny disappointing; approx. 38°C at idle, 58°C at full load with all 4 cores. If you want to attempt and push this, think about getting an aftermarket cooler. Wonderful deal for 贄. If you want to try and get a affordable x4 processor, why not try this a single?

Basically awesome processor on 1st rig. Wonderful fit with Asus M4A78T-E and Patriot Viper Sector 5 pc12800 ddr3 @ 1710mhz. Processor effectively overclocked to 3700mhz and possibly additional yet stock cooling not great adequate so running steady at 3550mhz ᤪc degrees. Was in a position to unlock all four cores with ACC, incredibly simple. All cores are steady. Basically ideal quadcore for price of a dual core. Computer software that comes with is beneficial to monitor/adjust settings however most must be performed by means of bios. I seriously cant assume of any except the heatsink and fan that comes with is mediocre. Its wonderful!

This is one particular fast chip. I'm making use of a MSI 785GT-E63 board, Kingston DDR2 1066 T1 Hyperx Mem, Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev2 processor fan, 1.5 volts, and hitting four.2GHz stable and on top rated of that I flashed the bios back to the original release bios which gave me EC Firmware option and set to special and ACC to auto and unlocked the two xtra cores. Now I didn't purchase from Newegg this time but that was since opportunity knocked, I was bored and wanted a project, so alternatively of waiting on shipping I bought from a competitor, even so, this now will have me obtaining a lot more of these from newegg. I did have it at 4.3 for awhile but prime95 crashed it immediately after about 20 minutes of operating on the prime quantity server. I've ordered a Xigmatek all in 1 liquid cooling system which I hope will fix the crashing at larger clocks. I would propose this processor to anyone looking to get from newegg. not a single con....way to go AMD....and please don't start making it harder on us to unlock cores...there are individuals like me that are buying processors not because I want them but due to the fact it's the challenge of which batch and stepping will unlock from different chips....that's excellent for the pocket book on your part and fun for us enthusiasts, not saying to make each processor with further cores to unlock, just don't modify the present routine...thrill of the hunt type issue I do this purely as a hobby, I'm a one hundred% disabled veteran who demands some thing to do so I started purchasing various processors of all classes and building a database of batches and steppings for which processors unlocked and which didn't. At some point it will be huge sufficient and nicely sufficient built to place out on a site for other people to use so they can enjoy the hunt of acquiring the processors that unlock and no it's not board certain, as extended as you have a 710 - 850 southbridge and ACC on your board you have the possibility to unlock cores. I normally get 2 or three processors a month to play with, I pass them down to good friends and family members when I'm carried out or do a create and sell a machine to fund far more purchases. Some individuals fish, others hunt, I unlock and overclock :-)

I was in a position to unlock the two dormant cores. With an ASUS m4a87td/usb3 and voltage on Auto the 3rd core isn't stable @ 4ghz. 3.8ghz passes Prime95 10hour fine although. I may possibly try 4ghz again with manual set voltage, but it's fine for now. I haven't observed how higher it will go with the 3rd core disabled. Oddly, with 4 cores unlocked, the chip runs 4c cooler at three.8ghz than at three.6ghz. At 3.6ghz with 4 cores enabled the CPU temp sensor truly works, but doesn't at any other clock speed I've attempted. I've built dozens of computers more than the past decade and this is the most inconsistent CPU's I've utilized, but I guess that is why it was so cheap. I didn't get the processor from newegg. All cores unlocked and overclockable on a Biostar ta785g3 & Asus m4a87td/usb3. An msi 870a-g54 board would unlock the 4 cores but wouldn't post if overclocked at all. At 3.8ghz & 4ghz a corsair h50 keeps this processor effectively beneath 40c at all occasions. With only stock cores enabled the H50 keeps it below 30c even at 4.2ghz. The MSI boards auto OC worked magic with only stock cores enabled, with a mid 4ghz OC that passed Prime95 ten hour test. But it's really hard to settle for a dual core, even a genuinely rapid one, when you know you can get all four cores active on an additional board. 4 cores at three.8ghz will hold me over till Bulldozer is released.

Extremely speedy piece of silicon, operating at 3.3Ghz stock.80Watt style 鲽Watt if unlocked)Capability to unlock added cores (This is ONLY a bonus, don't obtain this attempting to run away with a low cost quad....)I have this OC'd to three.8Ghz with FSB at 220Mhz, I tried acquiring greater but it became unstable. I also tried setting multi to x16 & that worked but would rather have much better FSB.Mine was stable when unlocked as B60 at three.3Ghz, & M/B showed CPU temp of about 35C, during prime95 temp In no way went above 45C 2-four cores enabled didn't matter. Couldn't overclock my brain. Simple unlock to a quad core B60 on Asus M4A88T-M!just passed 24hours of Prime95 w/ all cores @ stock speeds and volts. Temps are fantastic so far and i'm certain ill be hitting 4ghz like other individuals have carried out with this chip.Windows 7 Ultimate took specifically TEN minutes to install by way of USB drive with 8gb Ripjaws 1600mhz and a Samsung Spinpoint F3 500gb. I gotta cease pushing my luck on unlocks haha. The 560 and 555 use a newer silicon revision that the 550. Its greater in top quality and tend to not be defective as much.

Tricky to knock this CPU. Unlocked on Gigabyte 785g mobu. Overclocked to 3.9 GHz. Voltage at 1.55. Runs incredibly cool. Working with a Skythe Ninja with 2x120 mm fans. Never ever exceeds 55c. Wish I would have switched to DDr3 RAM motherboard when I got the 785g Gigabyte. DDR3 RAM significantly quicker. My friends Pc is clocked at 3.five but with DDR3 his is still quicker than my three.9 setup. How can you beat a quad core at three.9GHz for underneath one hundred.00. You can't!

Fair cost. Tweaked the CPU voltage to 1.45, improved the multiplier to 18.5x and the HT reference to 217 to get 4GHZ stable! Runs like snot from a 3 year olds nose! Not Genuinely a con, but I was unable to unlock the other two cores, but if you want a guartenteed quad, then you have to shell out for it. 100 clams for a 4GHZ dual core with 7mb cache? What is there to complain about!

Affordable.Fast.Unlocked to 4 cores. Had a couple of stability troubles with four cores OC'ed to three.7ghz. I dropped a core and bumped the voltage just a tad and now it appears to be operating fine. Not worth an egg loss though! Installed in my ASROCK 870 mobo and it unlocked the other two cores with ease. This processor is so great, it makes me want to dance.

This CPU is amazing! purchased three of this CPU, unlocked two a Quad-Core Phenom X4 and a single to a Triple-Core!It's noticeably quicker than a Athlon II X4 Quad-Core. With the stock heatsink/fan was in a position to overclock it to around four.2Ghz max, but runs stable at three.9Ghz, that seems to be the stable point for this overclocked processor. At 3.9Ghz this CPU is even more rapidly than the Intel i7! are you kidding? ๳ for i7 performance processor?

oh yeah, I forgot to mention, (and I can't figure out how to edit my previous assessment)ɇdmark06 cpu score of 5357 with four cores and 3600MHz NB 2600 MHz and low-cost Corsair 1600c9 ram at stock timings. This point thump monkeys all but two of the i7's, according to the posted scores on the web. two i7 variants, (at more than 跌), beat my inexpensive small AMD 560 BE legacy upgrade technique by a nose. Solid stuff. The numbers don't lie. Test it yourself.

Callisto CPUs run Incredibly COOL, particularly when Cool & Quiet or other "P-state" tweaker such as K10Stat or PhenomMsr is enabled. My cpu runs in between 20C idle and 39C at 100%, and usually not over 30C. It's a good price range gamer and ideal for operating all other household tasks, Supplied naturally that one runs it with the suitable board, BIOS and dram. AM3 boards can be found as low cost as ์-๖ (i.e., MSI 770). Hint: There are only 4 solid brands left: MSI, Asus, Asrock and Gigabyte. Now why would everyone struggle to make a round peg fit a square hole, unless of course you want a challenge or just really like the sound of futility (SMASH!). Callisto﫹x14.four = 3610 (vcpu 1.four), Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 鴹x9 = 2241 HTT, vNB 1.2), GSkill DDR3-1600򜩼, eight-8-8-20 1T (vram 1.52).

CoolRapidlyUnlockable (for me) to a four-core stable @ three.7 1.4v - scores 47.five Gflops in Intel burn test at above speeds. Couldn't hit 4ghz, even tried 1.488 vcore nevertheless no joy. Oh nicely.Unlocking to quad increased my temps on an H50 from 35 load to 50 load. Stock cooler will not unlock this, nuff mentioned. What AMD says about voltages is true on the particulars page.Above 1.4v the mhz achieve is microscopic, beneath 1.four you still will get rather a obtain. I've heard some 500 series procs hitting four.1+ so I was a bit dissapointed unable to get above three.7 as a 4-core. Nevertheless stressing as a dual core, but not expecting above 3.8 as a dual. I'd a lot rather get an unlock than a high OC.Didn't raise my frame prices with a Radeon HD5570 upgrading from an Athlon. The 5570 is a slow card but I was thinking I may possibly get a tiny enhance. 6950 on the way to get rid of this bottleneck.

Turned this negative boy from a x2 to a x4 with a minor flip of a switch on my ASUS board. Do not know what type of craziness I just unleashed. Stock CPU fan looks a tiny shady but I could replace it. Other than that it's a wonderful CPU. Looks like a hit or miss if the cores will get unlocked or not lol glad mine did it devoid of batting an eyelash. Could've made it much more eggs if I could lol, incredibly impressed with the overclocking ability for this tiny chip. I'll see what else it can do once my less than satisfactory HDD from WD comes in and do some benchmarks.

Possibly use with old existing AM2/AM2+ motherboard and memory. Low expense, high performance for games. Unlocked CPU - you can overclock and underclock freely, very adjustable. Dynamically clock down to 800MHz and əV for near silent operation. Did not operate with ECS A770M AM2+ motherboard. ECS hasn't supplied a BIOS update for years. So it crashed swiftly immediately after POST.Got it working with an older Asus M2N-E AM2 motherboard and 4GB of OCZ DDR2. Processor is brand new, so of course, Asus doesn't provide extremely excellent BIOS assistance but. But at least it booted. BIOS very tricky to set up simply because it begins stuck at 800MHz, low power mode. The BIOS keyboard input crashes usually in this mode (CPU not crashed, as I can see time ticking onscreen while the keyboard input is dead). Possessing an old PSǘ keyboard (vs USB) might support slightly. If you can get the BIOS set up enough to boot Windows, you can install PhenomMsrTweaker from sourceforge.net to lastly set the clock speed to 3.3GHz. Or larger, if you like overclocking. Download the "AMD Family 10h Desktop Processor Energy and Thermal Information Sheet" to figure out what voltages are permitted at every clock rate/power level. http://support.amd.com/us/Processor_TechDocs.pdf I bought this locally instead of Newegg. Quite low-cost. Didn't have to get a new motherboard or RAM. Got my games running smoothly at high frame rates. The BIOS concerns were a pain in the @ss. I was up all night trying to get the point to run at anything beyond the BIOS default of 800MHz. I was practically ready to take the point back for a refund until I lastly stumbled upon the magic third party tweaker computer software.I wish AMD (et. al.) supplied additional technical documentation. It was incredibly challenging to figure out how to get this thing to run correctly. I'm an embedded electronics engineer and our business does so a lot better in this regard. For example, I wanna hack my BIOS to support setting up the processor correctly from power on, to lessen boot up time and enable Linux to operate nicely. But that's not gonna come about with out far better technical documentation/tools/source code/etc.

Unlocked to 4 cores making use of MSI 880g motherboard.Extremely stable at 3600 MHz on all cores and NB at 2600 MHz. Set cpu vdd to 1.34 V, and cpu-nb to 1.34 V as nicely. With this setup, I can run prime95 torture test and leading out at 50 C on air cooler immediately after several hours. I did switch from the tiny heatsink that it came with to a bigger AMD heatsink with heatpipes (extra cost - ฟ on eb). All in all, I'm operating at the stock speed for the most expensive four core currently listed on Newegg. For a resurrected legacy method, this is quite rapid, and fairly low cost. None for my chip. It overclocks to a good speed, wo considerably voltage improve necessary for stability or any temperature troubles that had been not easily adjusted for.
