The CPU unlocked into a steady four core CPU with no problem working with the BIOSTAR A770E AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD motherboard that I purchased with this CPU as a combo deal. Overclocked effortlessly to four.0GHz off of air. I'm loving how swift this processor is! The fan and heatsink that comes with this processor is the weakpoint of this item. The ones that use to come with the Athlon 64 /X2 was so a lot greater then this. As long as you get a motherboard with unlocking capacity / ACC, five out of ten you'll get a four core processor for the cost of a two core. 3.3GHz - 4.0GHz. For ๳.00 you just can't get a better deal then this. Now i'm off to play some much more Fallout: New Vegas! Cease reading this and hit the "add to cart" button now!

It is s amazingly quick, went from an Athlon 64 X2 5400+ to this and the distinction is night and day. Plus it unlocked to a steady quad core with ease in my Asrock 880GXH. Also have it overclocked to three.6 GHz with ease, I believe it could go to four with no issue at all. It doesn't have an "AMD pwns Intel" sticker. For the $$, it can't be beat. Gets a 7.4 WEI in 7 with 4 cores ʃ.6GHz

I did not obtain from newegg but wanted to give input. These black edition cpu's are the way to go. I got this running to 4.4ghz at 1.5v (water cooled) on a low-cost 785 amd board. Temps do not go above 41 deg C and has been prime stable for more than eight hours. Typical frame rate for cysis two demo is 43 fps with a overclocked 460gtx 768mb at 1920x1080 res on hardcore setting. Unable to unlock the 3rd or 4th core. But you know it's a gamble. Guess the good issue is that I only have to cool 2 cores. I wish all cpu's had been unlocked.

Unlocks very easily with ACC. Overlocks 10% easily with my Asrock 770 mobo following thermal paste burn-in. I am so satisfied with this processor running at 3.6 Ghz on 4 solid and steady cores that I don't know what to say! had to acquire 2 phenom x2's to unlock the cores none

I adore this little guy. Unlocked all four cores with a flip of a switch on my ASUS MoBo and this issue can handle anything I throw at it. Can't wait to try and O.C. it. None but, unless you count it running a tiny hotter then I wanted. I did unlock all 4 cores though, so it was to be anticipated. If you program on O.C. at all, you will want to get a new fan or cooling technique. I can idle at 29c but when operating Crysis on Ultra settings I push 48c-51c. Those temps aren't negative as it can run up to 70c but I nevertheless wanted to maintain it beneath 45c.**My Rig**ASUS M4A88TD-MEVGA GeForce GTS 450 superclocked2x2g G.Ability Ripjaws 1600AMD Phenom II X2 560 Black Edition

I'm positive it is a fantastic chip, but can't clock it. I assumed that if the Asus board could take the 555 it'd take this one. Well it operates....sort of. It is not in the QVL list...here's why, the bios only slightly supports it. THe CPU runs at 3.three even at idle. Thus it runs in the mid 50 degrees. THis bios won't let it step down. None if you took the QVL seriously....or if Asus would write a BIOS previous 0501 that would allow full manage of the CPU. It is a excellent CPU....just not for this board,,,yet (hint, hint, nod and a wink ASUS! BIOS!)

Have it overclocked to 3.six with four cores steady. Cheap and fast. In all probability can go greater but why. none I initially purchased a 555 which I could only get 3 cores stable but the temps where borderline, idle 40 and load 65. Soon after messing about with the cooler, Scythe Big Shuriken, I broke a pin and ended up getting the 560. Idle is around 35c and below load its about 55.

I got this chip for free with an Asus M4N68T-M V2 Socket AM3 630a mATX Motherboard. I went residence, put it all together, and the second time I booted up the machine I went into BIOS and unlocked the other two cores with the touch of a button. I slightly OC'd the chip to 3410mhz... waiting on a cooler to experiment some additional. For some cause no overclocking utility will show me the temperature of this CPU!! How can I comfortably OC this issue?? :/ @ 贄 for the motherboard/cpu combo, you can't go wrong!

Affordable, unlocks to quad core, overclocks easily, quite strong. Doesn't make me a sandwich I got an ASrock motherboard due to the fact I know they can unlock CPU's. I can game on anything out correct now and almost certainly for a few years. You just can't beat this cost for a quad core.

Bought this CPU along with a GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H motherboard in a MC combo deal. Couldn't be happier with each. Unlocked the two added cores without hitch. Rebooted, program recognized as a B60. Didn't require to tweak any voltage settings. Bumped CPU up to 4000 and NB up to 2600 working with a CM 212+. Almost everything is steady. Will try to squeeze yet another .1 or .2 out as soon as I reconfigure the 212+ for a push/pull fan setup. CPU WEI is a extremely strong 7.four. Lastly, I located the perfect marriage operating 8GB ƔƦGB) of Kingston Hyper Blu 1600 in this machine. Bumping NB from 2000 to 2600 created the Kingston go from 7.5 to 7.7 WEI (memory set at 1600, not 1333). Also, this Kingston can overclock to 2208 (look it up at overclockersclub). Bang for the buck ƔGB) on sale for significantly less than ล AR (Kingston rebates are reputable too) it's an outright steal. None. Intel Sandy Bridge is the ideal option for higher finish. AMD, however, holds the reigns on the low end of the spectrum. If you buy locally, make confident to get a CPU towards the back of the case. I'm close friends with a MC associate and he noted they sometimes drop ones towards the front and put them suitable back. He mentioned it's not scientific, but it may possibly hurt your possibilities of acquiring an unlockable 1. Just putting this out there (take it for what it's worth).

Fantastic obtain! Only ๳ and was capable to unlock the locked cores and am presently running at three.33GHz 4 cores for 贶 less costly, and even more compared to the Intel chips. Running at a cool 39 celcius when below a heavy load, and about 34-35 generally. none so far very first chip's 2nd core was defective on arrival, but RMA'd it and newegg had me a new one in a week with no problems considering that.Had to up the voltage to the chip to 1.4V to make the unlocked 4th core stable considering that errors popped up in Prime95 at the 4th hr of the test.

this infant is fast. Unlocked the other two cores effortless. Got it overclocked to 3873Mhz steady right after 7 hours of prime95. Temps reach 50c on a complete load, 40c when gaming, 28c whilst idling Does not do my homework. lol this CPU is worth each and every penny getting a 2nd chip for my moms pc she is going to be shocked when she gets a taste of this overall performance.

Unlocked 4 cores with an MSI rebate E43 880 board.Overclocked all 4 to three.7 utilizing the multiplier only. Could go higher, but for this program, and stock air cooler, that is plenty rapid. Had to increase vcore voltage to 1.35v to preserve stable during Efficiency Test. Sitting at 34c with stock cheezy air cooler. None so far. I tried the MSI auto overclocking utility 1st, rather than altering the values directly in the bios, but that led to a non-posting setup. I had to flush the cmos and start off more than manually.

Got a very good deal at a nearby B&M for this and motherboard for 99 bucks. Retail cpu, rev C. Will not unlock any cores on two various motherboards that help it. Tried upping vcode and nbridge, no luck, will not post. Stock heatsink is a tiny factor, but it operates. If you get one particular that unlocks, wonderful. Fortunate you. I did not. But it is a gamble and I will accept that, it will still meet my purposes nicely (HTPC). If you program on overclocking get a much better heatsink.

Callisto's run really cool, cooler than the rest of the Phenom line in reality. Mine runs amongst 20C idle to 39C at a full sustained load, but I enabled "Cool & Quiet" also. Callisto is an great spending budget processor that will run games adequately and deal with any household or multi-media job efficiently. "Newer" Callisto's are Socket AM3 so you'll get great results with a "newer" ATI chipset: 770-790 or 870-890. Otherwise you're bound to run into challenges. Callisto﫹x14.four = 3610 (vcore 1.four), GA-870A-UD3 (HTT = 2241, vNB 1.2), GSkill DDR3-1660, eight-eight-8-20 1T (vram 1.52).

High Value, good functionality. I unlocked to a quad core using a Gigabyte GA MA785. Easy to do.Making use of a Skythe Ninja (with 2x120mm fans) I overclocked this CPU as a quad core to 3.96. Voltage 1.575 to get it steady right here. Stable on Prime 95 at these settings for more than four hours. I didn't test it longer than that as I seldom use this Pc beneath high demand for over 4 hours. Plus, in my experience if it can hold for 4 hours it will hold for 24 hours.Very nice CPU. An outstanding deal to be certain. The day after I purchased this I noticed the AMD 565BE -which is the three.four version of this similar chip. The 565 need to be able to unlock to a quad core as nicely. But I didn't feel the further .1GHz was worth the further ten bucks so I stuck with the 560BE. None Exceptional Worth! Just get it if you have an unlocking Mobu and an AM3 motherboard.

Very great for the price tag. If you get an AMD dual core. Get this one. None It's much better to get a high end dual core than a low finish quad. And this is a higher end dual core. I recommend this or paying the added premium for the equivalent quad core. But do not make the mistake of paying 10 dollars additional for a quad core that will carry out a lot worse than this.

I must've purchased a true quad deneb, but I saved ๖? lolAt stock three.3ghz, it's operating 30-31 C at idle. 42-43 @ load. I don't game much, but just to test this setup, I've got FarCry2, Wolfenstein, all running fluildly with zero stutter...the game's settings @ VeryHigh to UltraHigh. Crysis all set to mid-variety.I haven't attached the H70 cooler however, operating stock HSF. I expect reduced temps and more rapidly CPU performance in a week (after lapping both CPU and H70). third and fourth cores would not unlock, even with a proper motherboard and/or AMD Overdrive (which is a cheesy bit of bling from AMD!).Roll of the dice with the relative *newness of this batch of AMD deneb chips. I believe I received one with two truely faulty cores, therefore the 560 AMD labeling. Solid chip (it will require lapping though) tested it with a new razor blade and it has a serious rise from the center outwards towards the edges of the CPU itself. The H70 heatsink bottom will also demand lapping...Corsair ships them with grooves in the baseplate, simply 50% less efficient than it could be.
