The efficiency to expense ratio is so high on this processor. I had my eye blinders on attempting to make a decision on which intel platform to go with. I began contemplating AMD and didn't have to decide -- AND I have a great upgrade path. Ought to have performed the switch from my 5 year old P4 3GHz system sooner. Ought to have bought it from NE. unlocked to 4 cores; ASUS auto overclocked to three.55 w/o any tweaking at all.program:ASUS 870 boardAdata 2x2GB RAMImportant Actual SSD 64G SataIIIWD Black Sata IIIeVGA geforce 450

Unlocked all 4 cores in much less than 1 minute. Built program on an Asus M4A89GTD PRO, with Corsair F40 SSD, and the method is flying coming from a Q9300 setup. NA I debated receiving the 560 or X4 640, but am glad I produced the choice to go with the 560BE. Superb value

Cheaper than an Intel i5 or i7 SandyBriches yet mighty powerful. Ratcheted the sumabich up to four.1 with stock cooler. (ratcheted back to three.6 for the lengthy haul; my mama didn't raise no fool.) Seriously folks, this is a excellent tool IMHO. Acquire with confidence. I'm incredibly pleased. Couldn't unlock any cores but that could be the fault of my flea-bitten Biostar A780L3G mobo (which leaves the method fans running during SLEEP MODE - jeez). Until now I've only built Intel rigs but this processor lit my fire baby. Dollar for dollar, this processor acquire makes a lot of sense more than Intel's item. I just built an Intel i3 550 32ghz rig. Great processor too but this AMD machine is a lot quicker at everyday computing.AMD PHENOM 560CORSAIR XMX3 1333 DDR3 ƔGIG STICK. 1 More TO FOLLOW)NVIDIA GT240

Unlocked correct out of the box. Not overclocked yet but I have not bought a new cpu fan either, I had 1 left over from the old phenom days, upgraded a phenom x4 to a phenom II x2 but it is running as an phenom II x4 b60 none yet It took a small to get the locked cores unlocked but my motherboard did it just fine with now assist, i just had to enable two points. Remarkable quad core for 100 bucks.just remember that not all of these dual cores will unlock to a quad, AMD produced them dual for a reason.

I just put this into my new ASUS motherboard ( ASUS MB M4N98TD EVO AM3 RT ) and it works really nicely. The stock heatsink/fan are adequate as is. I really like the convenience of the pre-applied thermal paste already on the heatsink too. Immediately after a brief break in period for the paste, the temps are now low and steady. One more high excellent AMD processor that I can afford. Thank you NewEgg, when again. Thank you to AMD processors, for supplying us all with an alternative to the Evil Empire. LOL. A lot of thanks to all of you who posted your reviews about this processor, too. It was the correct choice. That does it, I'm an AMD fan for life. Nicely, I already was. None

Cons:Core unlock is a crapshoot

Pros:Unlocked multiplier, core unlock
Comment:
I Managed to unlock this into an X4 and was able to get it up to 3.6 ghz before the voltage required to go any further started becoming too high. For the price, you really can't complain. Paired this with the MSI 870-G45 and for under $200, I have a quad core running at 3.6ghz. Whats not to like?
