Sufficient capacity for most single Computer's with monitor and peripherals; With the master control, when the Pc sleeps, so do the slave components...saves power by shutting down monitor(s), printers, modems, whatever you want to plug into the slave outlets. Immediately after over a year of use, it has noticed me via many voltage spikes and brief outages without a glitch. A couple of days ago we had a 45 minute outage, and my computer system shut down automatically as programmed. I positive can't complain. And the cost is appropriate, even with no cost shipping. I just ordered a second 1 for my wife's pc. None. I do, however, note that it took a although for APC to update their computer software for Vista/W7, but they at the moment provide it, so no loss of egg. This is a great value for those that want to turn off peripherals when their laptop or computer sleeps. You can adjust how much the power draw need to drop to trigger the slave outlet shutoff, which is also nice. The unit draws about 25 watts with the personal computer sleeping (actual measurement with my 'kill-a-watt' meter), slaves off, which for most Computer setups translates to over a 90% drop from operating power. For my setup it represents about a 93% drop in wattage. Not negative for sleep mode. I suspect most of that 25 watt's is the UPS internal consumption.

It came in a big box with a bit of bubble wrap on the bottom of the shipping carton and floating about with this 18 lb gorilla were my MB, CPU and memory. Nothing anchored. CPU box was crumpled on corner. SHIPPING seriously dropped the ball on packaging this order !!!

Very good Surge protection on power, lan, & cable with instant on battery backup. Continuos beeeeeping. Poor Software package. I've used an ES-725 for years w/o the computer software. When the wall energy turns off, the ES725 will beep to warn you. I then exit & turn off my "stuff" with time to spare. With BE750 (using same "stuff" as ES725) the unit beeeeps for no cause. APC either "over or under" engineered their new units. Do Not get this item (unless you want a ringing noise in your ears). I've had the identical situation with 2 units. As well bad APC had an exceptional item that I wud give 5 eggs to, now only 1 egg mainly because I can't go lower.

Superb UPS, the Energy Saving switched ports perform as expected. So far just functions and included everything needed. What I expect of a UPS. Plugging in the battery. Keep power when all the lights go out! A tad heavy, but it's to be expected. I use this to power my laptop or computer with RAIDs in it so I don't have disk errors due to a power failure. It's good mainly because you can hook it up through usb and you can have it turn off your pc when the battery gets also low. The software included is genuinely great, but before I installed it the pc saw it like a laptop battery, so you don't need to have the computer software to automatically turn off the laptop or computer. It just lets you do more intricate items like manage the outlets and such.
