Functions. Looks Cool. High pitched buzzing noise often on. From time to time in the course of loading screens in games it makes a grinding sound that then stops whent he loading is comprehensive. The cables are a little short which makes the case look messy since it is challenging to group the cords. Great deal for the dollars, nevertheless waiting on a rebate. The high frequency buzzing can be annoying and the grinding is troubling.

Truly quiet. Clean uncluttered cables. The four sata connectors are not spaced far adequate apart from every single other to reach my four sata devices had to use 1 of the regular molex connectors with a sata adapter. If the Shell Shocker ever comes back, I'll acquire yet another for an additional laptop or computer with a noisy PS.

Stable, fantastic solid power supply. The fan aids a bit to preserve my processor and motherboard cool by actively pulling heat out of the case and obtaining rid of it. 650 Watts for incredibly extremely low-cost. Enormous extended cords. To repair this, I bundled all the added cords with each other, tied them up with zip ties, and then stuffed them into a spare compartment away from any heat generating components and air currents. If you don't do this and have an average size case, your CPU will start to more than heat significantly ྯ-20C). Luckily I had a meter up that was measuring temperature so I noticed anything was incorrect before anything as well damaging occurred.

This thing looks great and is additional than adequate power than i required, which is fantastic. Extremely great fan with the blue led's and fit perfectly in my case. It died the first ten minutes i hooked it in. not also content about that. now i got to send it back. I turned it on and the light got super vibrant then a loud pop went off. dont wanna rank on this energy provide but if u are hunting for a thing dependable and affordable, this is not the power supply to get. i learned this the tricky way and am fortunately going to have to wait. - Has a excellent weight to it- Good small blue LED fan- Comparatively quiet- Cost - Non modular- Low top quality cable sleeving - Not a great PSU for best mounted situations- No 80+ efficiency I bough this for mid range AMD make a while back. I necessary it to energy a Phenom II X4 955, a 5770 and a 500GB WD Black. All round, its a great small PSU for the cost range. Even though, the included thumbscrews are of low quality, which is a pain if you have a top mounted case. Also, the reality that this is a non modular PSU contributed to far more than it's fair share of head aches. Do oneself a favor, and shell out a handful of further bucks for a modular corsair.

Utilized to power my house server which will easily run for days on end (sometimes even weeks). Powering P4, four challenging drives, DVD-ROM, and quite a few situation and tricky drive fans. Cables are a little short for bigger cases exactly where numerous connections are applied.

Runs quite quiet. My last psu was pretty loud compared to this one. Main fan is an acrylic/plastic material that doesn't vibrate or rattle at all. Incredibly, quite blue LED. 4-pin connectors have a great "locking" form function on them and present really strong connection. Shipping seemed to take a long time. Ordered it on a Saturday, didn't get it till Friday afternoon w/ standard shipping. But that's far more of an inconvenience than something. I nonetheless love Newegg!! I wish it had an on-board fan control, so it wouldn't have to run at full speed all the time, but its so quiet all I hear is my video card fans anyway; and honestly I'm far more concerned about noise than I am about "total performance". 650W is excellent for my application and for the price tag I paid, there isn't an additional PSU (that I identified) that was any better or that had much better critiques. Can't wait to get my SLi rolling on this issue!Haven't tried the mail-in rebate yet...I hope that all goes properly.

Not sure, did not plug in Specifications claim UL, CB, CE, FCC approvals. The images on the internet site of the item show the approval symbols on label on the supply. Both supplies I received had no UL Certification FCC CE or CB markings. No literature or package markings produced claim to any of the above approvals. I do not use power supplies that I can not verify UL listing for security reasons.

- Looks & runs good- Uncomplicated installation- Relatively smaller design- Cords are nicely wrapped- LED light looks good- Runs fairly The only downside I can see is that there are a LOT of cords. Far as well many for any person seriously. I cant envision everyone would seriously want all that it supplies. Which providing some additional cords appears like a excellent factor, but actually they just kinda get in the way and blocks a lot of prospective airflow all through the case. All round its a great power supply but it seems like they attempted to out-do themselves just a little too significantly.

I bought this to resusitate an older Computer, and I wanted a thing with sufficient power to be able to run newer Pc elements when I can upgrade. If you go by the specs it has plenty of power on the 12v rails to power SLI video and quad core cpu's. I have not been in a position to totally test this however nonetheless.Cable length will be a challenge for some a blessing for other individuals, due to the fact they are long with a lot of room amongst connections. In a mid size situation I can\'t get away from cable clustering, there lengthy and sleeved so routing them out of the way is just about impossible. In a full tower this would be excellent! The blue led's for me are neither right here nor there.I would strongly recommend reading the newegg PSU purchasing guide for everyone who does not think about himself an expert, it will seriously enable you understand your demands and just what all these ATX, EPS, PFC abbreviations seriously mean!I will update this review in a handful of months.

It glows blue and has an adequate quantity of connectors for most points The cables are a touch too short for a full tower case finding up to the 8 pin atx connection on the topside of my asus mobo. The WORST part of this unit though is the lack of efficiency along the 12V rails. It claims to be sli rated but it shut itself down following running 5 minutes of crysis w/ my sli'd gts 250s (some of the much more energy effective cards as far as external power draw sli is concerned) Theoretically it really should yield 42 amps on the 12 volts but a lot of tests have shown that the unit is nowhere close to capable of handling that. If you've only got 1 card of GTX 275 or lower then this unit will be fine. It's quiet, and pretty, but this is not a excellent sli psu. I would be cautious although as you get what you spend for. Spending a little far more ྾-60 bucks) could save you from losing 1000 bucks due to a short from the psu. Feel about it...

So far a trustworthy power provide, but would have applied the dollars on a different model and brand if I had recognized then that the rebate was a dud. Don't expect a rebate. Bought in Could, now end of August. Haven't heard a thing right after mailing almost everything in back in Might. Great power supply, particularly dishonest manufacturer. Replaced 500 watt PSU that failed when I installed GTX 460 video card and ran it at complete capabilities for ten minutes. Has two separate video card 12V cables, every single with two separate 6 and 6ư connectors to assistance total of 4 connectors on two video cards. Really quiet huge fan - can't hear it above the tough drives moving their read/write heads. All cables are lengthy and wrapped for much better cooling and much less tangles. None Apevia gets bad comments from some folks. I have been extremely pleased with their solutions. Even their 500 watt PSU that failed (my fault - technique drew as well significantly power) did it really smoothly, like turning off a light switch with no damage to motherboard or anything else, no smoke, no flash -- just a disappointment. Rebate of ษ with net price tag of ฮ for 650 watts is a great value.

Not a nicely recognized brand but absolutely does the job. Considering that I dont over clock and I wont be operating in SLI mode, Im not worried if this will be sufficient energy in the lengthy run. And even if was going to OC and run SLI, it should work just as fantastic. Fantastic Item.
