At least with my usage it does.I normally hate dual-connector enclosures due to the fact they have some ugly cable or board and the cables get frayed and worn from consistently re and un-plugging a drive. If you see any bare gold pins then you do not have it seated all the way. Give the drive a steady firm push onto the enclosures IDE connection strip untill you see no pins! The software program did not discover the drive till I corrected what I mention above!

My HDD is only operating at 5400 RPM!I had to obtain the power adapter separately from Radio Shack for !ഈ bucks!! since it did not come with it!!
