Exceptional board for typical everyday use correct out of the box and light gaming application. Core unlocker is extremely cool. Turned my 3.1 GHz triple core to a quad core. Video on board is cool, but had to go into the bios and max out the onboard video. Default onboard video is 256 MB, so had to go into the BIOS and max it out.

Low-cost w/ 6 SATA ports and giga ethernet Originally refused to do warm reboots, wouldn't post. Flashed with most current BIOS Ƒ.4 ?) and concern appears to be resolved. Occasionally the boot screen will freeze with vertical lines which is annoying. Working with this for freenas for a cheap server. Decided to build 1 vs. buying a NAS. This motherboard is combined with the Sempron 140 and 2GB Kingston ValueRAM.

Simple setup. 6 sata ports. The very first on I bought would hang about just about every 4th time I tried to boot it. Soon after replacing every little thing else, I sent it back. The second one hasn't had any issues.

*Works.*Supports all AM3 CPUs.*Integrated chipset is capable of operating games at medium to high detail. Newer ones such as Empire: Total War and even older games that have killed systems, such as Battlefield two, Half Life 2, and Oblivion. Runs WoW on Medium settings. There's also an overclocking function for the integrated chipset. Comparable efficiency to a high finish GeForce 6-series, but with Direct X10 attributes.*Motherboard has an anti-stupid function in the sense that if you set your OC settings too high and can't boot, immediately after a given quantity of boots it sets itself to stock settings. Don't be stupid and disable the anti-stupid function.*Begs to unlock and overclock and makes it stupid uncomplicated. One button at the very get started, and BAM! 5% overclock on the CPU, 10-20% on the integrated and a possible unlock!*Many options to decide on from in the BIOS to increase your system's performance. Consists of pre-set overclocking options in percentages of 5%! *Small, but I suppose that's the point.*Awkward placing for tower cables. IDE and SATA are fine, but the P4 power pin is on the left side of the board, the Audio panel connectors are on the /bottom left/ which makes wiring tricky. Floppy is also on the bottom, but who cares about floppies anymore?*Needs a P4 power connector (or P8), so if you have an older power supply, you'll have to get either a new power supply or wire that adjustments a molex into P4.*No Crossfire or SLI. Low-end crossfire /does/ exist on the motherboard with the integrated ATI chip, but you need to have a low-finish ATI DX10ቧ graphics card to use it anyway. Full crossfire and/or SLI (full as in, both cards are at 16x PCI two.) are only offered at around ๳+. A amazing motherboard for the cost. No regrets about getting it.

see other thoughts see other thoughts I already wrote a review but i just wanted to say that the LAN port will not work after installing the driver. I had to roll back the driver to the windows native driver and it worked fine.

Core unlocker, good onboard graphics, which scores 4.4 on Windows efficiency, highest onboard AMD graphics offered on New Egg is 4290, so I thought it was a good price/performance selection. Price correct now is ์. 6 SATA II ports, 12 USB ports Ɩ back panel, an additional 6 usable with internal plugs). Core unlocker works, btw, I unlocked a X3 445 Rana with it, no complications, just set ACC to auto. Lots of ASRock utilities to tweak items, I'm liking them a lot. As one more reviewer wrote, only 2 memory slots, but 4GB is much more than enough for me. OC choices are a bit overkill for this model, but it's good to see them in the BIOS. I'd suggest just going auto every little thing unless you actually know what you're doing. None of this docks an egg, although. I got this in a sub 跌 create (including case/power supply). I read the manual before creating the plunge, and I believe that proper now this is probably the ideal bang for your buck if you want a low spending budget create. Works effectively with G. Skill F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT (cheapest 4GB kit on New Egg currently), which was a concern for me due to the fact this memory is not on the MB QVL list (ASRock gives a incredibly lengthy list of QVL'd memory). Add a good 贄 graphics card later and it'll be able to perform adequately in any game made to date for under 踰 total (especially with that unlocked Phenom II 4X I mentioned).

It looks like a seriously good motherboard with a lot of features for not too significantly price. It also comes with 2 SATA cables. It was DOA, and considering that this was my initial build, I had no test parts, so it took replacing potentially good RAM to come to the realization that the motherboard was the dilemma. Between all the RMA shipping and processing, my PC is already a month late. Hopefully I can get it going soon. Newegg's refund fees are a small random and not actually logical to me, but they've been taking pretty great care of me via the process.

System went together simple. Paired with AMD Athlon II X2 260 Regor 3.2GHz and a four gig ripsaw stick, runs like a champ. Fantastic system all for under 跌 bucks. Newegg rocks! none
