Cons:Short mail-in-rebate timeframe

Pros:Cheap PriceSLI compatible
Comment:
This is a great cheap motherboard that has the Z77 chip in it. It also supports SLI unlike some of the other boards at the same price. Just be careful that you send in the rebate quickly.

ASRock Z77 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DVI HDMI USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Issues recognizing dual 580's, kept switching to onboard video on me.

Pros:Cheap, decent overclocker
Comment:
I ended up getting a Sabertooth. I had endless problems with this thing booting me into a black screen with my 580;s disabled, and onboard video enabled (I had to switch to plug on board.) It was a nightmare. Should have stuck with Asus.

Cons:Sata ports are hard as hell to get to sometimesBios temp reading not working

Pros:looks goodseems sturdyall parts fit relatively welllots of ports
Comment:
Seems to be working great aside from the bios temp reader not working (got cputemp and my i5 3570k is running idle at 22 degrees so not worried) the drivers were easy enough to install, everything on the mobo works so far as i can see.The SATA ports for hard drives and disk drives can be incredibly hard to get to once the motherboard is installed, took some work but got it anyways. overall pretty happy with it, and hopefully i am happy for a few years to come

Pros:FeaturesPrice
Comment:
Was looking at several other Z77 boards but finally decided on this one after reading many reviews online. For its price, its a great deal. I was able to easily overclock my i5-3570K to 4.2Gz with aftermarket air cooler while undervolt by -0.2V. Very stable and no problems so far. XFast RAM was great for setting up RAM drive for applications, such as web browsers, etc. Highly recommend this board.

Pros:Phenomenal specsSolid reviews all overPRICE!Reliable brand
Comment:
First ASRock brand I own (I was/am a Gigabyte fan) but this board blows my expectations out of the water! Coupled with an i5-3570k, the overclock is rock solid at 4.2Ghz. Smart layout of connectors and I love the BIOS reset button in the back. UEFI is a blast! I honestly could go on and on but there's nothing I can write that hasn't already been reported to death on dozens of official reviews - this board should be the prime choice for anyone looking at using an i5 or i7 CPU.

Cons:DVD full of bloatware

Pros:QualityLooks slick
Comment:
This thing is great. For those who care, it looks really nice. I have nothing bad to say about it. The on-board audio sounds good. I haven't tried the on-board video so I can't speak for that. The BIOS is nice and modern. I'm used to the old classic blue screen BIOS. This BIOS supports my mouse and everything! My only complaint the DVD will install a bunch of bloatware if you're not careful. I ended up re-installing Windows because of it.

Cons:The only problem that I had with this was the Xfast lan program slowing down my internet speeds.

Pros:-Nice look-Easy use-overclocking for Non K processors
Comment:
This motherboard actually looks really nice, there were no bends or anything in it. as I said in my cons the only thing that I did not like was Xfast lan but that is most likely due to me using a very old PCIE WLAN card...If it was actually wired I expect it to work better. I rate this five stars and would definitely buy it again and I am definitely recommending this product and it's higher ups.

ASRock Z77 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DVI HDMI USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:- mail-in rebate must be sent within 8 days of receiving the MB.

Pros:- excellent MB for the money and superior build quality- great for overclocking, this board is geared towards gamers and enthusiasts- easy to use and navigate bios interface- onboard power, reset and clr-cmos buttons, handy if you want to test the board before installing it in your case- this MB looks sexy, nice you have a case window ;)- Realtek AC898 sound codec (no need to use my SB 24-bit dedicated card anymore)- 4 SATA3, 4 SATA2, 6 USB3.0
Comment:
I bought this board a couple of weeks ago and love it. I've always used Asus in the past but with the features this board has you would have to spend more to get the same from Asus. The build quality is top notch and ASRock gives frequent bios updates. OC'ing is very easy too and the presets work well as a starting point. Currently have my i5 3470K running at 4.2 GHz with only 1.14v P95 stable. 4.6 GHz is aso P95 stable but needs 1.20v and I only use this setting for a select  few games.Bottom line: I looked at Asus, Gigabyte and MSI. They all had features that were lacking at a similar price point. I did a lot of research before choosing a motherboard and have no regrets getting the ASRock Z77 Extreme4. Plus it was awarded 'highly recommended' on Tom's Hardware and we all know how picky they can be!

Cons:Poor rebate infos/very little time to post the rebate.

Pros:The board itself performs well and gave me a good overclock but there seems to be a latency issue with the NIC. I'm getting huge spikes in DPC Lat that can be pinpointed to it.*edit*: this can be fixed by disabling Windows Firewall. Not sure why it happens.

***This post was edited, be sure to read the full review.***BEWARE!*** If you are buying this product - reasonably - because of its low price with the current $40 mail-in-rebate, you might be unpleasantly surprised to learn the following: ASRock doesn't want you to breathe; you have EIGHT DAYS only within purchase to mail it. That's right folks, have a look at the PDF. I waited 7 days to receive the product to my door, and since I breathed for a couple days and lived my life, I was no longer welcomed to get my money back by posting the rebate. Can anyone think of a good reason to pressure your customers so much? I can only think of one reason, a very bad one: greed. ASRock must know that many people will not look at the .PDF and will assume that they share the same ethics as other manufacturers (MSI, EVGA, Gigabyte, ASUS, etc., who ALL offer 30 days). ASRock wants your money, so they'll make it very appealing with their big mail-in-rebate and give you so little time so that a decent amount of people will not get it. The lowest delay I've seen for people to send their mail-in rebates is 21 days (OCZ, ADATA). That's still almost 3 times as much as what ASRock offers you.***EDIT*** 25/09/2012:Well, I received important info from ASRock. Apparently, if it was shipped to you, you get an additional 8 days to post it upon receiving it. This is not mentioned on the rebate pdf. I ended up posting it today, which was the last day according to support. But depending on where they start counting, it may very well be the 9th day and I will not receive the rebate. I'm crossing my fingers that the support person wasn't mistaking. Hope this info helps others. This review was modfied by poster @ 09-25-12 01:05 PM

ASRock Z77 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DVI HDMI USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Came with bent pins

Pros:Came recommended on tomshardware
Comment:
Before buying this motherboard I read a review of 7 motherboards, this one included, on tomshardware where the asrock, msi, and finally biostar were highly recommended. Overall this stop on top and came highly recommended for the price range. I ordered the board about 4 days ago but could only problem pick it up on Saturday due to high demand (I was actually pretty lucky because there just happened to be one in stock the day I went pick up my other order). Now I have been repairing and building computers for a while now (10 years plus) and this is my first asrock. I haven't really been in the financial position to put together a PC like I was planning to yesterday (i5 3570k - - 8 gigs corsair - - etc). To say I was excited is an understatement. Everything goes smooth as expected with all the necessary hardware installations. I fire up the system and low and behold error code 55 pops up. I immediately think it's the ram. So I try all possible configurations I can with the 2 4gig modules (a1 b1 - - a2 b2 etc). Then I tried single module configuration; nothing, nada. Error code 55 is all I see. A continuous loop of it. At this point I began to see red and I saw Google and similar results others had posted. The recurring phrases I saw were bent cpu socket pins, but I kept on telling myself that it couldn't be it in my case. Denial? Yes. I took more than a cup of it. I finally caved in and decided to check my setup. I carefully took off the heat sink and removed the cpu. What did I see? Low and behold several pins were bent. Now the way the pins were bent, I would have had to have had aggressively pushed the cpu into the socket with the intent of wanting to do some serious damage. I was fuming and It was getting late so I decided to call it a night and hope that the next day all would be well with the world; things only got worse. I checked stores the next day (sunday) and see that only two stores, which are kinda far from my place are open (2 hours by bus). So a buddy helps my out by driving me there. I'm a vip member on ncix.ca and I do also recall buying express rma. Now I was hoping all would be well once I got there and spoke to the repair guy. He checks the board to determine the problem. He then proceed to look at me and says that almost all the pins are bent. I became puzzled. Then proceeded to tell me that I should have paid them to put together my system together implying that I didn't know what I was doing. I felt very insulted. The bent pins was one thing, but this one was too much. After I spoke my mind he began to agree that some boards do ship with bent pins but my case was 1 in 100. He had apparently not never something like mine before. Well I guess the "lucky" 1%. Due to "physical damage" and manufacturers policy towards that the board could be rma'd. I now have a nearly a 200 dollar board at home along with other components doing nothing. This was a financially tight build for me. Any repairs outside of rma and warranty will cost more than I can part with now. I don't want asrock products to leave a bad taste in my mouth but I have exhausted all my options and at a lost as to what to do.

Pros:VT-D supportDual sata chipsets leaves one available for pass throughPCIE 16x support on 1x slots without jumper mod (removed back of slot to allow larger card)good price (after rebate) for the above features
Comment:
Bought this to go with a IB 3550 and 24gb ram. I read great things about ASRock and vt-d support and so far it is working out great. Undervolted cpu to .95 and is stable at stock freqs. I use linux and everything pretty much works (satas, temp monitoring, fans, etc). Once I get vgapassthrough setup it will be one awesome rig.

Cons:RAM is a bit close to CPUNot too much MIR time

Pros:Great Price Powerful UtilitiesPlenty of Features
Comment:
Great board for its price, even better if its on sale. Comes with alot of utilities which are great for the DIY guy who knows how to use them. Everything was up and running smoothly in a matter of minutes and BIOS interface made it easy to setup for OC plus a few other tweaks users may be interested in to get more out of their mobo.Only problem I really had was the MIR which has to do more with the company then the product itself, too little time on it. I had to wait for my other parts to arrive because the shipment got split in half so by the time everything came the MIR was expired. Sent it in anyway with an explanation and hopefully they'll understand it wasn't my fault.

Very happy with my purchase! The X-fast ram and X-fast USB 3.0 utilities really boosted the performance of my machine! Make sure you buy lots of RAM in order to make use of X-fast RAM!
