I have used previously and had no issues so buying these was a no brainer.bonus soft ware is also good for those who need basic dvd support for burning etc .. between the software and the driver updates for video should provide most of codecs needed for dvd play

It's a DVD drive + it is from Asus = good to go. Disc drives are fading out nowadays but it is still handy to have this in a PC build I think.

It's a DVD drive the first item I used it for (other than driver discs) was a movie called "Young Frankenstein" it's a classic and it ran well!I've put this in two PC's I think. A CM Storm Stryker (A build for a sibling) and my own build; Corsair 350D.

I bought this and so far there seems to be no problem.One thing that I probably got annoyed with is the fact that the whole DVD drive is not like the one on the picture. The shell of the DVD drive is actually not black, which means I would have to actually paint it.But that's a personal thing, and put that aside, you have a great DVD drive that works for an affordable price when on sale!

I purchased this as a means to install my OS and other software into my new computer build. This is my first computer build an I am happy that I could get a high quality optical drive for under 20 bucks. So far I have had no issue with any of my installations and the speed of this device is more than adequate enough for me.

Purchased this writer for a new build and it has done everything required of it without any issues. Very easy to install and the limited branding on the front of it keeps the build looking clean.

This is a good dvd especially for a new build, asus makes solid products and nothing to complain about. Fast and reliable which is what everyone always need. This gets my vote and recommendation!

it's a dvd/cd burner which works for those who need an optical drive.The drive seems to run a little "quieter" than my older LG burners. Quieter, however, is subjective and may also be affected by differences in physical media (a slight imbalance on the actual discs may cause vibration and hence noisy operation).My drive came with nero 12 although I haven't personally installed it. My last experience with Nero was with burning rom 10.

Seems to work as good as any DVD burner. Tray opening is smooth and quiet. Easy installation. Included software disk has a copy of Nero on it. Not much you can say about it other than the $15 price was right. I'd buy one of these again.
