This motherboard worked great for me. The onboard video is good enough to run the games i play(even online ones). It runs my dual core processor perfectly. If you are looking for a good motherboard for a good price, this is the one.

Got this 2 days after ordering it. Put a phenom II black edition 550 on it with kingston hyper x 1066 ram. Every thing works graet but needs more fan ports cant use my ram fans. But for the pice i would buy this agian.

Bought as part of a 'barebones' kit for a 3 year old. No problems. Only 2 SATA connections; lacks floppy drive connection. Using 2.6 Mhz Quad CPU, 4 Mb of 800 Mhz RAM, Vista H.P. Scores 5.9 for CPU and RAM. No problems.

Unable to run hauppauge 2250 video capture card. The mobo chipset heatsink interferes with card installation. Bought to build DVR, have to go with something else.

This board is great for First Time Barebone Computer easy to set up and very stable.

I've been building and working on machines for 10 plus years. I love this manufacturer as a whole but this model has numerous glitches, issues that have yet to be resolved by the manufacturer. Overall this MB is just short of what I would say was crapola. I would not recommend it, move up to a better quality MB and save yourself a lot of hassles. As always no problem with the return or exchange for a better board from this web retailer.

I have been buying and installing these in custom PC's for customers for a while now. They are always great, fast, and easy to work with. The only limitation I have found is that you have to be very careful what processor you pair it with, some of the Athlon X2 processors will not work with this board at all, creating problems. Even if you flash the BIOS to update, the motherboard will still indicate a problem. Other than that, it is a great choice and a solid performer.

mb would not work with my new monitor or CPU .. had to send back for repair... i had to pay $8 for shipping too.. did not like that.. it has been a month now and i still have not got a chance to try the mb to see how it performs.. maybe one day soon..

i amhppy with the pppm3 mooard, but the treasures are short, like the sata connections. I can only have my dvd, and 1 hard drive, but all in all, it is well worth the price for a first time pc

Along with an AM3 CPU and 4GB of memory I was able to rapidly get this combination working with Linux as the OS. Both sound and video drivers worked without a hitch as did the USB connection to my mouse and keyboard.

Every function worked very well and I even got some support on RAID. The support was easy to get and they solved my problem. The only thing to think about is the 2 slots for RAM. With 64 Bit OperatingSystems coming, the most RAM this motherboard can access is 4GB. 64 bit OS's want that as a minimum. If you want something to last 5 years or so, get a board that can access more memory.

Working with this MB was incredibly frustrating. I ordered it as part of a combo deal with an AMD Phenom processor, and 4 gigs of ram that was recommended on the order page. I installed everything as I normally would (after dozens of builds over the years) and the board refused to post. I spent hours on the Asus website and forums to no avail. Then I read the fine print for the board. There is a memory compatibility list. I hadn't run into anything like that with ASUS before. As it turned out, the memory I was using was not compatible with the board. I swapped out the memory with some from the list and everything fired right up. Go figure. The only other disappointment was the lack of a third SATA connection, no fire-wire connection and no front audio. However at this price point, those things are a bit much to expect I guess. Next time I'll spend a little extra for the additional features.

This is a great home motherboard, very well priced and efficient. Only has one PCI slot, which was kind of a downer, and so is the one IDE header.. But all AM2 motherboards in this price range seem to have similar specs. This product works great with windows XP 32 bit with a quad core 9600, got it as part of a bundle and it was totally worth it. Sound works fine, as well as all other functions. This bad boy posts in about 5 seconds

I bought this one as a part of combo with Phenom X4 9600. Put this board in Themaltake Lan case without any problem. I used the stock heatsink for the CPU so there is no problem with space. The board works right away with Windows 7 using Windows supplied drivers. I've been using this board for about a month doing video editing and no problem so far. All in all, I am happy with it. However, this board could use 1394 port if you want to capture video from SD video camcoder.

I used this motherboard with a Phenom X4 9600. Slapped the processor in it without any problems and runs smooth even after overclocking it. Has plenty of features to customize in the BIOS. It lets you set how much memory you want reserved for the internal vid card 8,16,32,128,256,512, or none. Pretty good buy for the price.

This mobo does what is expected very multi tasker runs smooth with Linux os 8.04, 6.10. and 9.04 have not tried with Microsoft but I expect the results will be good. Other thoughts are leaning heavy toward 32 bit because of past experience. overall a good combo w/phenom 4 cpu. Ray

the motherboard was compatible with all the accessories that I ordered from tigerdirect for a PC system, had no problem. it even comes with an I/O panel replacement in case the one on the case doesn't fit. all I had to do was remove the panel from the case and install the one that came with the motherboard. so easy even a cave man can do it. perfect value!
