This is a great MOBO for the kid's system. They are just starting out and it seems this board will grow with them for a while.

I bought this motherboard to rebuild my desktop computer. This is a simple computer not used for gaming. I installed the motherboard and the drivers and no problems whatsoever. It is easy to install and set up. Just wish it allowed for a backup on the hard drive like my gigabyte motherboard did.

Installed a AMDx2 5800, very fast with no worries. On board video is not too bad, actually will run high end 3D games, although slowly. If you play games, get a good video card.

Built a light gamer and the kid is happy. Plays half life, , gary's mod, etc fine with the added video card.

Worked straight out of the box. Install fan, DDR-II ram, HDD and CPU....it's ready to rock and roll. You can also get the latest bios flash automatically. No more flashing bios the hard way. It's all automated and works straight in Windows. Highly recommended.

Connected it up and powered it up. No problem starting up. I connected the SATA hard drive and a SATA DVD it took off, ready for the OS.

I bought this as part of a bare bones system. Great mobo, Great interface, but I wish that the board had oc ability, and two graphice card slots, with 4 ram slots. Asus has a board like that, but not at this great low price! Will upgrade in about nine months, and yes it will be Asus again, as i love these boards!

With an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400 it a great affordable machine. Easy to install no driver problems encountered.

Sorry to pick on you jbone, but you don't use onboard graphics chips to power a gaming rig. Duh! Since this is only your second build I won't slam you too hard for being a noob. LOL! Solid board as one expects from Asus. I used 2 to build DVR's for surveillance rigs. Rock solid performance. Don't buy MSI boards, I have RMA's the same board twice. I have had nothing but trouble out of them, Asus all the way!

Asus simply is the best built motherboards anywhere. I have bought over 400 Asus mother boards and never have had a issue and this one was no exception!!!

this is my 2nd build and i must say, this is a good board for the price. boots fast, easy bios setus and it comes with a few nice extras on the driver cd. but i do have to say, the onboard graphics leave much to ask for. if your looking to build a gaming rig, spend the extra 20$ and get a black edition board. the graphics are much better. ofcourse then again you can always do what i did and buy a 9800gt and even the board out. all in all. good board

All around good board, didn't have problems with it. First one was DoA, not a big deal, sent it back, got another one in a timely manner, everything worked well, supports the AMD Kuma Black Edition and performs beautifully. Not the best motherboard I've seen, it's missing a few things that I like, because I usually go full ATX, not micro, it was a weird adjustment, but it's far from the worst.

This really is a great motherboard. It has been running 24/7 ever since it arrived, with 4GB 800MHz RAM and a 3.10GHz AMD Athlon X2 64 Dual-Core 6000+ Processor. I wish the motherboard manufacturers would stop and think though about the floppy drive interface. Even Windows XP Pro, when it looks for a RAID driver, it wants to find it on a floppy drive - and if you can't add a floppy drive to your motherboard, isn't that a problem? However, overall it has done very well. Fires up so well that all you have to do is almost just breathe on the USB mouse and its on! Even with a slower IDE 60GB Hard Drive, this motherboard boots in a hurry!

Awesome motherboard very fast and dummy proof to install! First ASUS motherboard ever tried and very impressed! I will buy another in the future. Boot up speed with windows vista and 1gb ram is less than 45 seconds. You can't go wrong with this board.

So far as I can see, this motherboard works just fine, and took right off after installation with no problems. The only 'con' I might make was the lack of a printer port, which necessitated the purchase of an adaptor to USB for my old HP printer, so be aware of this limitation if you use an printer without USB connectivity.
