Great board, but I made a mistake of getting a micro ATX. Banging my head now as I try to fit anything other than a graphics card in it now. Still performs wonderfully and installed easy.

I bought this as a combo w/ the Athlon II x4 620. I didn't even reinstall Windows 7 (upgrade from Asus M4A78 Pro, NOTE: I did have backups of my data, and aside from the LAN the boards have similar chipsets), just plugged in the drive into the new system and booted up.The board layout is ok. Very tight in the bottom right corner from the front IO panel connectors and all the SATA ports. The QConnector feature would have definitely helped out. Actually the entire bottom is busy, all the usb connectors are there too, so is the front audio connector.The Northbridge is close to the PCI-E x1 slot too. On the other hand, the PCI-E x16 can run the entire length of the board and spill over to the 1 of the PCI slots. For air flow no cables should block the CPU pathway.4 Stars... very good board but not 5 Star, but most of them were know before purchasing.

I use Asus boards a lot. I liked this one, but it developed problems and eventually wouldn't even give vidoeo. I sent it back and got an MSI (I needed DDR2 slots)

Easy install.Loaded right up with no problems at all.

MOBO installed easily and came with enough hardware to properly mount. Has good video capability but barebones package came with video card so have not used the hdmi out. I was disappointed that the MOBO did not have firewire on board. The case came with a firewire connector on the front hard wired to a MOBO type connector. So currently it is non functional. All of the PCI firewire cards I have found use a standard 6 pin firewire, not a MOBO firewire connector.

I used this in a computer with the AMD Athlon II X4 620 processor and it runs beautifully. I purchased it mainly because the price was right for the system I was building. I have no regrets - it does what it is supposed to do. The systems I build are usually for average users, no heavy gaming, so this motherboard works well for me.

Seems like a great board so far, unable to use additional GPU with built-in board as not currently supported in Win7. On-board video seems decent for everyday use. Not a gamer so not an issue for me. Manual could provide more info on BIOS settings.

Old Athalon system disk was dieing so figured a new system was in order. Found this kit. 1 hour to build. Perfect start up. All voltages checked out.

As noted in the other reviews, this Asus mobo lacks some hardware and BIOS features, but I didn't really expect them for this price. It's supposed to be a bugdet board and that's exactly what it is. Don't expect to be able to do crazy OC'ing on this or to play the latest games. It's for a cheap computer for people who don't need anything special. Awesome price for an Asus, I'd say!

Got this full featured motherboard with a PC kit and all was looking great until ... after installing the OS, the system started rebooting out of the blue and failing re-install attempts. What a headache for about a day! Then, when it rebooted when I touched the rear panel bezel I knew I had stumbled on to the problem. Even though I had noticed and fixed some of those silly little grounding fingers on the bezel poking into a couple of the connectors (grounding them), one had sneaked by me. When the system warmed up and the finger touched a signal pin - BAM - down she'd go! After removing and V-E-R-Y carefully reinstalling the mobo through that bezel - she's running like a dream! BE CAREFUL!!!

This came with my barebones kit, and after i completely installed it, the mobo won't even do a POST. I get a blank screen, the LED light that tells me it's on and cpu fan is running, so no problem with power supply. Returning for a replacement. I'll post later if the replacement is good.

Tried to add an ATI Radeon 4350 to the PCIe x16 slot. The motherboard did not recognize it. (Ports in 4350 not working) Box claims to support CrossFireX BUT IT DOES NOT! Asus confirms this.

I purchased 2 of these boards and they display memory error if instaled over 3gb of DDR2. Tested with PC Doctor 6, does not pass memory test.First I was thinking its incompatible memory, than I got different memory at different speed and problem is still present on both boards.Windows 7 will install, however, it reported memory error as well.

The good: ASUS, Features up to wazzoo, Nice color scheme, 785G chipset which is perfect, no need for a video card. In fact, a slightly better card video card would be about 75$ itself so this is great to have built in. DVI, HDMI, and RGB connectors all on it. Chipset Heatsinks as well, and 6 SATA ports with Excelent BIOS features. This board is top notch especially for the price. Buy this with no regrets. The sound and video on here are way above par for the price too. Love asus.

I use this motherboard and AMD Phenom II X2 550 CPU to replace my Dell's motherboard and intel CPU in my Dell dimension 4700 boxes. After installed Windows, updated the video and audio driver. The motherboard and CPU combination is very well and working great, and temperature is lower then old Intel CPU, no noise. Another advantage is the VIA high definition audio. Great value! One issue was with system panel connector, the wire too shot. Another issue is that the AAFP front panel audio connector is not map with Dell's pin connector, which use Dell's J9C2 Connector.

Just completed a new build and this mobo had a very easy install, no complaints. Performs how it should.

Works great. On board video was acceptable for internet and video. I hsve added a GTX260 though for gaming.
