Paired with AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus three.0GHz awesome machine no complications immediately after doing a clean os set up. I was in a position to overclock from the stock 3.0Ghz to three.four with no actual rise in temperature on the stock Cooler. I attempted to image my old program with Acronis and image back with universal restore but ended up with some audio concerns with Microsoft's UAA driver tried to download the hotfix for it but they password protected it so i ended up reinstalling xp clean which corrected the issue To install XP AHCI mode you must slipstream the drivers onto the disk you are installing from. other then that on concerns. |

A lot of bang for the buck. Core unlock with the flip of a switch. I won't list every little thing this card can do because you've most likely read the particulars section already. If you need a new mobo, this is a good one particular. I truly dislike the Express Gate OS. I guess its good to have a back-up OS offered and you can generally just hit the exit button to get back to your personal OS. Solid Board. Was easy to work with and was AMD 6 core prepared. Has an IDE connector that I necessary for an old difficult drive I wanted to use. Restricted fan connectors. I don't need to have it but wouldn't try to crossfire on the motherboard. Though not necessarily a con, I utilized patriot two X 4GB DDR3 1600 Ram, and had some issues acquiring the MemOk! to recognize it. Right after some tinkering it worked and now the board works good. |

two PCI-E slots for Xfire graphics (although a single is just X4). Excellent core unlocking and overclocking capabilities. It's an ASUS! Second to none in quality. (I like Gig*a*byte also!). Utilized the unlocking features to enable a 3rd core on my dual-core Phenom II processor. I hope I got a good deal and the cost doesn't drop soon. AM3 socket will be obsolete with bulldozer. |

It's great and I like getting USB 3. ports now. The plate that cam with it for the back panel is not great, it got in the way and all the little tabs had been really tricky to perform with. Also it's a weird sized board, it didn't absolutely fit into the mounting region in my case. Just had to be careful whilst installing the RAM and ATX power connector. |

Functions fine and setup was effortless but....that's only if its beneath 8gig memory I have been using Asus mobo for years now and this was the very first time I've skilled so quite a few issue regarding this mobo. I've not too long ago bought 2 of this and one particular works fine out of the box because the setup I had on it had below 8gig of ram. Now the one I tried to set up with more than 8gig started altering my ram frequency continuously and keeps rebooting my system. Buyers make confident you ram is listed for the mobo, and even if it is, it could nonetheless not be compatible... I ended up keeping the motherboard and lastly was able to get 12gig operating on it, but once every single although it would lead to my pc to not boot effectively. Did some tinkering and lastly got it to run stable for now. Will up to 16gig in a few days to see how it goes... |

Excellent price, good board. Anything at all else I have excellent to say has been overshadowed by the cons of this board. Don't anticipate to be able to CrossFire with this board and use all of its SATA connections. I'm presently 1 SATA connection down, since the geniuses that intended this board (or the video card, Sapphire HD 5770), in no way believed that far ahead. Any common graphics card you purchase on the marketplace WILL block a SATA port or two, unless you still have the ones that still take up a single slot (which I haven't noticed in a though).Other difficulties could be encountered based on the case you decide to use. I'm just hoping my second HD 5770 doesn't overheat from being too close in proximity to the PSU and I'll just study to live devoid of that 6th SATA port. One thing NewEgg ought to introduce is a graphical interface that lets you match a variety of elements of computer systems together to make confident they actually fit effectively and don't obstruct airflow or essential connections. Now that would be a thing! |

looks, sort of. has usb3. and some other stuff that make it sound great. I bought this mobo because it has all solid caps, amongst other issues. largest mistake i've ever made, besides the one particular time i let someone use my bank card to invest in something, and ended up with a - bank balance. Every little thing, the value. I have given this motherboard a opportunity, then i gave it 100 far more probabilities. It won't even let me update the BIOS except to the present version, which isn't an upgrade.. at very first i believed perhaps it's my power supply. spent major $ on a power provide, didn't assist. Can't run DDR1600 at usual speed, no matter what settings i try. Won't even completely boot windows most of the time. Terrible, overpriced, junk. I thought ASUS was a very good name, but now i know the truth, I am by no means getting anything ASUS once again, this will be the first point i have ever returned on the online, it is just also significantly trouble. Buggy, way overpriced, and the documentation and software program is full of typographical errors, probably a good instance of the excellent of coding that went into the BIOS, etc, which would be why i can't flash to something besides buggy stock. the specs say it supports 1600, devoid of the (oc) beside it, one reason i purchased it, so it would be compatible with my kingston hyperX ddr3-1600. it isn't, and a little googling tells me that numerous other individuals have had the exact same dilemma with the board. I believed Asus sounded like a respected manufacturer, due to the fact they make the eeePc, etc. Prior boards i've owned were foxconn and MSI, and even the low-excellent hp-pavilion socket939 board i have doesn't give me issues like this. now i've got a new powersupply, it didn't fix the issue, simply because the board WAS the issue. quite dissatisfied and never ever trusting asus once more, no matter how good it looks on paper. I'm sorry, Asus, Asustek, Asrock, whatever name you're going by these days, but you're acquiring this buggy blue PCB back, and i'm obtaining a thing far more stable. |

Very good peripheral layout*, wonderful program help. Core unlocking feature (which was awesome for my AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE). It even comes with four sata cables! (two 6GB/s and two common, plus they're incredibly extended). My final board was an ASUS A8N32-SLi Deluxe and it's inherent that the design and high quality is progressing further with this brand. *Poor fan connector layout. Only a single three-pin and a single 4-pin fan connectors (aside from the a single for the CPU). You'll need to have extra three-pin cable splicers or extenders if your case is operating a lot more than two fans. And the back panel cover is awful*. *Speaking of back panel covers.. Upon initial boot I got a one of a kind error message stating; "USB Device More than Existing Status Detected" pc will shut down in 15 seconds...Soon after significantly deliberation (and forum searching) it turned out that 1 of the useless metal pins on the back panel cover was sticking into a USB port, in turn causing far more electricity to be operating via it. Basic repair, just in no way encountered it ahead of. Immediately after a fresh boot, no problems. It even had the present date in the BIOS... |

It looks good in my Case, has a lot of alternatives for overclocking (if your into that sort of issue), Every thing fit in definitely great, had booted in three hrs, (took my time to make certain every little thing was proper ;) ). If you do strategy on overclocking with RAM, do not invest in DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) RAM as it is not natively supported for overclocking. My mistake, and when overclocked it will bluescreen with this RAM. Not that I overclock frequently. You can purchase RAM that is not on the QVL, just simply go to the RAM Manufactures Page to see if they have tested the RAM in your method. Mine booted up no issues in three hrs of creating, 1st attempt. Every little thing posted appropriate away with no matters. Sufficient expansion slots to construct a decent single GPU gaming rig. Excellent OC tools, if you like to play with that stuff. One of the few items that shipped with a recent Bios version (not the newest version, but the earlier a single). 2nd PCI-e slot runs 4X, which isnt a con for me, but could be for some. This was applied in my 1st develop, with an AMD 1075T 6core. With stock heatsink/fan, I manage about 40c idle (havent tested load but). I employed Antec Formula 5 thermal compound. I salvaged both disc drives from my Dell XPS420, as nicely as my 7200rpm 1TB hdd. This is my current setup:AMD 1075T4GB Corsair 1333mhz ramEVGA GTX580Creative SB X-FiANTEC 650w PSUBluRay driveDVDrw drive1TB 7200rpm Seagate HDDI strategy on getting GSkill ram soon, prob 12GB of 1600mhz, as nicely as an ASUS sound card. And if a deal strikes, a 40-60GB SDD. But as my setup is correct now, I have no concerns and its light years quicker than my Intel Q9400 processor. And my GPU finally runs the way it must. The bios for overclocking Is a bit tricky... but when you get it down its alright not worth docking an egg .. And the I/o Panel is a bit flimsy but as soon as you get it in .. its snug Too poor it doesnt permit SLI but if i wanted that i wouldve payed the extra 40 bucks for the Nforce board |

Very well built. The owners manual is easy to adhere to. Yes I would advise this motherboard! I did have a challenge with the rear port backing plate. The manual did not even mention this item and you are left to figure out how it installs on your own. It's straightforward but if you don't develop computer systems every single day or week, then it can slow you down. The a single problem I have is the software program that Asus gives. To unlock cores it is seriously too straightforward! Just one particular keystroke and you can unlock the cores. Or at least you can initially cross your fingers and then try to unlock them. I unknowingly "hit" the unlock crucial which unlock the remaining two cores of my AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz 2 x 512KB. I had a single heck of a time attempting to figure out why my new windows 7 would not load correctly :( . Once I figured out what happened, all is good! |

Straightforward to install. Every little thing functions. Package came with the plastic end securing tab broken off on the second PCIe slot. Not a large deal as cards are also held down with a screw. I/O shield is garbage. I had to bend items about so that I could plug things into the USB slots. |

I'm not the best judge of motherboards, but as far as I can tell almost everything works as advertised. Comes with a pretty thorough manual. The included rear-panel I/O shield is ugly, but functional. Also be warned that it's an unusual size: it sits mounted on only four screws, and is just about an inch shy of the third set of two screws. It hasn't brought on me any complications, but it tends to make it a bit less sturdy and a bit a lot more bendy. |
