Operates nicely with my AMD three.four Ghz Quad Core processor. MoBo has area for 16 GB of RAM, so it'd be waste if you didn't use it with a 64-bit method. Most of the time I forget it's even there, which is a excellent thing for a MoBo.Has assistance for USB3 and SATA 6Gb, which will be tested if I get any elements which require that. Whilst it fits in fine, it doesn't have adequate inputs to accommodate my case's fans and doesn't have a firewire input. I just plugged the further fans directly in to the energy provide and don't use the firewire. (I really should have researched the case a little far better). I haven't figured out if I can use Asus MyLogo2 with Windows 7, but I did turn off the Aqua-colored bios screen. My Method:AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition three.4GHz (Quad Core)ASUS M4A87TD SATA 6Gb/s USB 3. It arrived unbroken, on it's scheduled delivery date. So 2 stars: 1 for Newegg, 1 for UPS. Aspect of this is my fault. I ought to have checked what type of RAM will perform with this board. I bought non-compatible RAM, so of course it won't perform. My original notion, due to the fact the board supports (supposedly) 16GB of RAM, was to get four 4GB sticks. Oh, this board doesn't help 4 gig sticks, maxes out at 3? Let me see, it's been a while, my math is a small rusty, but I'm fairly confident 3 x 4 is only 12.I don't know if I want to acquire the appropriate RAM or just get a new MOBO. The board was less expensive than the RAM, so guess which way I'm leaning? From exactly where I sit, it looks like ASUS is lying about their specs. I'm not actual impressed. I was eager to get this issue going currently, but now have to spot one more order and wait all more than once more (during the Christmas season, of all times). So, ASUS: poop on you. I'm switching suppliers.

Descent quality MB. I like that it came with a PCIx4 cause I can put a ssd "card". Every little thing installed into my case very easily enough, the board only had one particular PCEx16 and my GPU covers a single of my PCI slots but no biggie. board runs fantastic with my setup. AMD 560 Black, four gig of random access memory, two RE4 western digital 250 gig, 560 EVGA EE superclocked. wonderful board. none ASUS is a good product, not ideal, but fantastic AMD MB are designed for crossfire not SLI (maby 1 or two MB's) this kinda sucks. Also the slots require to be organized much better because of the enormous GPU's readily available.

Solid board with USB 3 and SATA 6, sturdy, a lot of ports and jacks, runs an AMD Phenom II X4 with no config required. None so far. Watch out when you place the board into the case. I continually get the grounding prongs from the rear jack plate caught up in the rear MB jacks. It's a *serious* pain to unscrew the board and reseat every little thing later.

This board posted perfectly and performs flawlessly with Ubuntu 10.ten. Us Linux guys don't do "Blue Screens of Death" but this board has been perfectly stable for four months with Ubuntu. The mechanical installation was fully uneventful. The SATA 6GB/sec ports naturally function fine due to the fact my Crucial C300 64GB SSD reads at 360 MB/ sec. I updated the BIOS by a USB stick devoid of a hitch. Given that I'm not a gamer I haven't bothered to mess with more than clocking this board. This is my initial MB with AHCI and it's a actual joy to hot-plug drives with utter impunity! I wish it was a Full ATX width. There's a lot of area in any generic mid-tower case for a true 12." x 9.6" ATX MB! Package contents for the motherboard exactly where properly believed out and excellently made, extra every thing, gave three Sata 6. Cables, mounting screws and screws.very in depth manual, which made for a incredibly quick construction procedure, specially given that this was my first attempt at creating an AMD based machine. The Board is Extremely sturdy and no issues for the duration of bootup and testing. The Board was sent with Pretty new Bios version.Timings of Ram detected Properly Very first boot,All Six Cores Detected Initial Boot. The layout is stunning compared to my preceding P5N-E SLI from Asus. The USB ports close to the best of the Mobo allow for the Madcatz PS3 Tournament edition fightstick to function in the Pc enviroment. Not actually a con but the bonus computer software that comes with the mobo you are greater off not installing. (EPU seemed to lead to some troubles with my T1055.)You will require to install the drivers from the disk in order to get all the onboard devices working properly. When setting up the audio driver be ready for some frustration, as I encountered serveral annoying difficulties with the sound driver (an additional 45 minutes of functioning to get it up and running, not adequate to take off an egg, but annoying none the significantly less.) When setting up a Phenom II x6 processor one particular wants to be careful due to the fact according to the internet site x6 are not supported with some of the older bios, and may well not perform fresh out of the boxIn some sound enviroments, the Audio driver appears to make some issues, however these issues when researched appear to happen inside certain programs and not essentially the driver. However, on my other machine there is no dilemma with the sound, even when trying to recreate the identical precise reported instances. This may well be anything to watch out for, in particular if you invested alot of income into a five.1 Speaker Process but plan to use the onboard audio. My PS3 Fightstick I had for a while but was not able to use it on various other machine I had built for a variety of factors, this is the initially mobo that worked with my Stick, which permits me to get alot additional use out of it.Phenom II x6 T1055 two.84 gigs DDR3 Corsair XMS ramAsus Nvidia 465 GTX 1gig

the specs looked OK Comprehensive junk. The list of factors is beyond me. Don't use this board for Windows 7 (???), seemed to function with Vista and XP, but not Windows 7. Rated for 16 GB of memory, but ASUS does not list something greater than 2GB. With only 4 memory slots I'm not sure how the math operates out to 16 GB. I bought this board with AMD Phenom II X4 965 (N82E16819103727) and CORSAIR XMS3 8GB ƒ x 4GB) (N82E16820145315). I spent an entire weekend attempting to make these parts function with each other. I only hope Newegg will let me return this pile junk. I can't believe I wasted this considerably time and income on this.

Great board, easy to connect, works excellent now that I have it operating. This board may suffer from a identified ASUS board difficulty where it shows a "USB more than existing status detected" error and shuts down (mine did). The repair is merely to not plug in your ethernet cable (yes I know the error says USB but that is what was causing the challenge on mine) until after you've installed your OS.

None continual BSOD with G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9S-4GBRL, crashes at times at startup, hates cold boots. Corsair ram functions fine in it and the G ability performs fine in one more mobo. It seems to be a compatibility concern with the ram. Asus nor G ability forums have help for it but a lot of other individuals with unfixed BSOD with Gskill ram and this board. I have constructed alot of systems with Asus, their help has constantly been lacking so i switched to MSI for a though and decided to go back to Asus result in the MSI boards had poor evaluations and this one did not. I am getting tired of getting to RMA things period, in particular because of compatibility concerns after paying for 1 day shipping. Its Like flushing week of my time and 20$ down the drain. Could start out purchasing somewhere i can return it and get my money back the same day.

Excellent cost for function set. Worked instantly with no issues. Lots of options for overclockers. Have not had any random lock-ups however right after about a month of use. Did not like placement of some of the connectors. The ATX + 4 energy connector is nowhere close to the principal 24 pin power connector, and the audio connector is on the lower left corner, which tends to make it complicated to run the audio cable neatly from the top rated of my Antec 900 case. No firewire, but the board is only 贄. Excellent functions, love USB three. and sata6gb. like the memOK button and uncomplicated OCing. when building from scratch, the mobo didnt state the preferred RAM speed was 1333. the descriptions just states 2000(OC)񳈰񳄥񳀚. so i bought 1600 considering there wouldn't be a dilemma. wouldnt initially post with 1600. had to obtain some 1333, post and set BIOS ahead of replacing with 1600. was a massive discomfort just diagnosing that as the problem. if you have some spare DDR3 lower memory speed to start off with this is great. if you are creating from no spare parts, dont begin with 1600 or greater like i did. was quite frustrating. only 4 stars for lacking that sort of product description clarity.

Price tag, overall performance, specs, top quality, and it's ASUS! Purchased an XFX 5450 video card to run Hybrid CrossfireX. Setup was a breeze, I get double the video ports (DVI, HDMI, and VGA), plus superior video overall performance on a spending budget. It naturally uses AMD CPU's which have not yet caught up with Intel. Only supports 2 fans (CPU and 1 Chassis). Had to RMA initially board since of an problem with memory slots B1 and B2, but that was rapidly resolved and replaced with a new board (after paying return shipping of program). Didn't list it as a con because bad boards happen. What do you count on? I chose this motherboard to go along with my AM3 X4 640 CPU and G.Ability 4GB DDR3 RAM. It all performs ideal together.Has the latest SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.. Got it on a combo unique. Couldn't pass this one particular up. BIOS posting is a bit slower that what I would like. System boots up into Windows 7 64-bit in about 45 seconds, such as the BIOS post time. Was hoping for 30 seconds or less, but I guess I would have to get a SSD to accomplish that.

No serial/USB/Comm/SPDIF adapters supplied (plenty of ports why not use them!!). CM Storm case, AMD 1090T (X6) CPU (overclocked at 4408 MHZ), 4 GIG (dual channel - 4X2GB) DDR3 1600 G. This is an upgrade from one more Asus motherboard running AM2ɥ making use of DDR2 memory, Memory does make a deference. Not a complete ATX board, the absence of IEEE was not an problem for me as I just don't have something that uses it. Sound sounds tinny but this as well was not an concern as I installed a Sound Blaster X-Fi card. I wish Asus would get back to putting some a lot more fan connectors on their boards. I gave this a five star review for the ease of use. This mother board is fantastic and has fantastic capabilities. For overclockers, this is a fantastic MB to start with, it has its own core unlocker switch physically installed, and a reset BIOs button. All round, this is a quick MB that will complement the finest AMD processor you can acquire. On this motherboard, the Jumpers are NOT labeled so be cautious though setting up any LED casing lights as I learned the hard way which one particular was my power button jumper. Fantastic Motherboard, only has One particular Sata 6. cord integrated, and two USB three. slots. Don\'t forget, the DDR clock default settings are 9,9,9,27. The auto overclock feature will also retain these settings no matter how several occasions you run it.

Bought this board at Fryselectronics (couldn't wait) simply because my old server-turned-media-center died. I was torn between this and a comparable Gigabyte (the only two brands of MoBo I acquire any longer). As a lot as I adore gigabyte, I didn't like how they place an HDMI port on their boards that don't do sound. Didn't really feel like paying for that. This board has 4 mem slots as an alternative of only 2, a number of pci-x slots, and it looks darn cool. The software that comes with it is ok I guess, the asus updater took some coaxing to lastly do it's job (very scary, as this board doesn't have gigabytes dual-bios that I'm utilized to). Haven't messed with the overclocking functions but from the other evaluations it sounds easy and straightforward. The MemOK! factor was cool, lets you energy on your board devoid of starting the cards or drives to test the memory. Helped me due to the fact I purchased some G.Skill ripjaws that the manual didn't list, but they operate fantastic. Only comes with one SATA 6GB cable, and 2 3GB cables. Letdown. Oh nicely, that's what you get when you don't blow more than 赨 on a board. Included application could be better. And Asus could go ahead and ditch trying to get me to set up norton, I wouldn't be mad I promise. Good searching board. Liked the toggle switch for the core unlocker. I have a midtower situation, and as soon as I installed the board it was about 3 inches brief of the final set of screw holes. So there is element of the board hanging out in space, probably to lead to harm to the board when installing ram/ide cable etc. Also, board would not post. Plugged anything in, turned it on and didn't have any video on my monitor. Believed it was strange so reseated vid card and rechecked connections. Powered up again and noticed that my mouse and keyboard weren't obtaining powered up whatsoever. Named ASUS and they referred me back to Newegg for RMA. I have by no means had troubles with ASUS boards, kinda disappointed that this happened as it is holding up my Computer build for a different week, AKA no personal computer for one more week. Gave it two eggs as Im hoping that Ill not have anymore difficulties when the replacement board ultimately arrives.
