Costumer service was remarkable. Motherboard was specifically as it said, worked fine till the warning message. DOA. I plugged everything in:AMD Phenom II Black Edition x4 965Nvidia GeForce GTX550 TIVital DDR3 4GB x2It all booted up without having a issue, but from the beginning it gave me a warning that would transform location on the mobo with the same finish phrase: over existing detected, technique will shut down in 15 seconds. Most of the time it was the USB, but I unplugged every thing, ran with 1 stick of RAM, absolutely nothing plugged in but the NVidia, keyboard in the PSǘ port, CPU and PSU. No matter what I did, it wouldn't let me enter BIOS setup nor would it get rid of the Over Present Detected message. The guy I spoke with from Asus explained everything and what it all meant. He told me in the end the mobo is bad and I will need a replacement. It kinda sucked, but it was what it was. I ended up asking for a refund from NewEgg, and bought a new mobo only mainly because of the time it would take to get the exchange Ƒ-2 weeks). Stuff occurs, right? It's no 1's fault in specific, I just wish I could've utilized this mobo as it looked cool, had simple sufficient OC capabilities and such...

Like it. Absolutely nothing worth mentioning. Had a dilemma at install... BIOS would not let me in stated " USB overvoltage detected will reboot in 15 seconds". immediately after I reinstalled all hardware I noticed my HHD LED + - wires had been crossed. Worked just fine immediately after I set them appropriate.

Install went superior. The board is laid out nice. Plenty of more than clock choices. - I had to find the RAID instructions on the net they are not in the manual.- Only comes with 1 SATA three. cable and 2 SATA two. cables. Why?

This motherboard is solid. It booted right out of the box. Had an concern with Q-Fan. I am running an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. It doesn't like the initial setting on Q-Fan when you very first boot up. No issues though if you just disable Q-Fan. The core unlocker works excellent with the AMD Phenom ll X2 555 Black Edition. Its stable operating 3 cores, the 4th didn't want to go. None. This motherboard is excellent. Nice valueIf your not more than clocking works wonderful When over-clocking your cpu with this motherboard one can not trust the voltage settings at all! From 1.320V -1.4Vthe actual voltage does not change at all! setting to 1.39 outcomes in a 1.34 voltage. As soon as I go above 1.4V although it goes all the way up to 1.44V.This motherboard is a wonderful way to burn out your cpu.

It's Asus, its only 100 bucks and its got sata III and usb three.. Not extremely massive, appears affordable, in all probability simply because it is. Don't like the MemOK, appears like a stupid alternative. Bought this for a client that wanted a low-cost, quickly pc. The board won't even post if the ram isn't setup perfectly. It's an alright board, overclocks pretty effectively, so I don't know what the other evaluations are about. Got a 15% OC for my client no difficulty. I only buy Asus mobos, in no way had a single challenge with them. The very first Gigbyte I bought was also the last. Not much in the way of heatsinks, but if you want a affordable mobo with the new chipset, this is the way to go.

It worked great with no problems. What motherboard does not have integrated graphics? So I ended up spending ำ a lot more for a graphics card I shouldn't require. It was essentially my bad for getting this board anyway. I had purchased two ASUS M4A785-M AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard63188775 motherboards but didn't understand they had RAID support, and only got this motherboard for RAID support.I must have just gotten three of the much less expensive boards and saved the ำ on a graphics card.

After having three DOA boards, it was a good feeling when this 1 worked. The BIOS for this board is easy to set up and tune. Good utilities added. If fit into the case nicely and lined up with the access points perfectly. Six 6gig Sata connections are good. None at this time. Southbridge chip is close to the CPU, so if you if you are utilizing a huge flanged heat sink as I am, it will interfere. good Motherboard for what it mentioned it does. agree with everybody else on the functionality and operation it provide I had this motherboard for about 6 months now and I totally really like it except 1 little factor. for some reason (and alot of people today been having it) the mother board is just unstable it'll run for about a few weeks then crash and it's 1 of two kind of crash the blue screen and the memory reset. I even have to discard the old ram i purchased and had to obtain new ram that had been supposbly the manufactor combatiblity list wasting far more cash and it still crash. asus took about 3 weeks to send me a new bio when my On board bio was unable to recover.

This is a board you can maintain awhile. Able to do sata 6. and usb three. Also can support just about every AMD processor out there. Overclocking and core unlocking is straightforward. Also the little q socket factor that lets you plug all your front panel wires is simply is actually excellent. Has plenty of everything except fan headers. Only one sys fan header. Why? Other people have complained of the memory factor(only recognizes 1333 on initial boot) . I read this and adjusted my memory purchase appropriately. Otherwise I would probably take an egg off for that. Make confident to read the critiques, they will save you headaches. The reviews is what actually makes newegg good. Reviews at other internet sites are rarely useful.

This mobo was extremely effortless to function with. I utilised it in a new develop and it booted on the initial attempt without having drama. I also have an AMD Phenom II x4 955BE and it overclocks quickly from the bios with the cpu 'level-up' function. it provides me the choice to select three.four (Phenom II 965) or straight up to 3.6ghz with out having to change any other setting. It ran stable at each settings. (low 50s range in 3.4 and upper 50's at three.6 in celcius on air). Some people had been having concern with the backing plate, and i discovered it's just a matter of getting cautious. pre-fit the backing plate to the board before snapping it to your case so you can fit the grounding tabs effectively and you shouldn't have any troubles.if you're searching for a budget board with functions to take you properly into the future, this 1 has USB3 support, sata 6gb, DDR3 mem support, newest north/south bridge (as of 6ቭ񳏊), and am3 socket for the next gen of amd processors. I also chose my memory from the approved memory list at the asus website for this board and it does not correctly read the cas latency. It ran fine with no concerns, but i noticed it was running at 9-9-9-24 when it must have been 8-8-8-24. I manually corrected it in bios and it set perfectly without having issue. Since it did run without issue at auto-detected 9-9-9-24 and the typical user would by no means have noticed the distinction i didn't really feel it was worth taking an egg. If you're searching for a board with on-board graphics then this isn't the one for you. You will want to invest in a video card along with this board if you don't already have one.I've been extremely happy with the efficiency of this board and would not hesitate to obtain one more or advise it to pals/family. The characteristics effortlessly compete with much a lot more costly boards. My Setup:Asus M4A87TD motherboardAMD Phenom II x4 955 BEG.Skill Ripjaws 4gb DDR3-1600HIS - Radeon 5770 turbo videoWestern Digital Caviar 640gb 7200rpm HDAntec Earthwatts 650 PSUwin 7 65bit residence premiumAntec 3 Hundred Illusion case.

Appears to be additional stream lined in set up configuration. It was not a breeze to install. Once the bugs had been worked out,it's a nice board with lots of goodies.(STABLE with slight OC) 850 chipset,USB 3, Turbo boost on the fly. Nice user friendly board so far. To soon to tell? commonly takes a couple of days for ghost's to show up in the works. Only one vid card slot. No need for SLI with a nice card? (My .02 cents) I had a gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P. It by no means genuinely worked suitable. Following hooking up a 42 LCD HDTV to stream Hulu, Netfix it messed up on me for the last time. Migrated all my stuff to this board. 鿻 BE,HD5770 Radeon XFX vid card, 8 gigs Gskill 12800CL9D-4GBNQ, 500gig WD black HD, CoolerMaster HS, Sata Optitrac, Sata dvd rom,850 Corsair PS, Antec 1200 case. Unlocked my phenom II 560's two dormant cores. Running as a B60 w/ 4 cores @ 3.8ghz. I needed it correct away, so I bought from a nearby store rather of newegg. With gigabyte providing the identical feature set with a AM3+ socket for บ much less, this mobo is already old tech. I wish I didn't have the time constraint, or I would have gotten the new Gigabyte 870 board with the new AM3+ socket. Newegg is the finest when it comes to having the newest tech in stock ready to acquire.

Its a spending budget board, so I won't you an epic evaluation. It works with: WD Caviar. ... N82E16822136533G.Skill Ripjaws ƒX2GB). ... N82E16820231277Phenom II 545. ... You ought to do a small touch-up in the BIOS for RAM timings, Etc. One of the factors I like Asus boards is the quantity of three-pin fan connections their MB come with. This one only has 3x3pin connections. Luckily, one of the reviewers (And that's why you need to generally read the critiques) pointed out the lack of 3pin connections on this MB, the 4pin CPU connection becoming too far away from PSU, Assuming that Reviewer was on an Antec or a comparable Case, in which PSU is at the bottom. Now, I comprehend that this board is a budget-board, but 3pin connections isn't luxury choice anymore, with so much power and complexity these boards hold these days, and the currents... These boards must have the capability to sustain themselves. Now, I have an Antec 900, and to Overcome the Cons I have state above, and correct the lame design of this board, this is what I boughtɅX: 4Pin 12V Energy Extension: N82E168121980052X Link Depot 3Pin Fan Power Y Cable: N82E16812189063And My Issue is solved.

The ASUS M4A67TD/USB3 is compatible with all three of my operating systems (Win7, WinXP and CentOS five Linux). No hassles from any of them. The component layout is clean and open, allowing for free of charge cooling air circulation. The ASUS installation instructions had been a lot more vague than with prior ASUS motherboards I've owned. I had to refer to older ASUS docs to get info that should have been included in this manual. The mobo mounting studs in the location of the rear cable jacks had to be shimmed with washers to get the correct height to fit the I/O Shield. This may possibly be a case difficulty despite the fact that other mobo's had no complications here. There is only 1 IDE port on this mobo. This is an oversight on my portion that I take full responsibility for, but I had to acquire a new sata dvdrw since there was no secondary IDE port. If you plan to use quickly memory, be sure to consult the qualified vendors list for this mobo.

Works excellent with the new Phenom II x6 processors with i7-compatible (lower voltage) DDR3 RAM. Haven't tested it with any other RAM or processor, but completely no crashes, runs nice and cool, no crashes whatsoever. Backplate is a small iffy, but that is fixed by pressing the plate closer to the motherboard right after installing each in the case.

Good functions, great cost. Installed fine, booted on the first attempt. Haven't been in a position to get the S/PDIF audio out to work at all under ubuntu (Analog audio works fine). RAID controller kept degrading my RAID5 array, had to switch to software program-only RAID. Problems are minor issues of compatibility which possibly wouldn't exist if I'd installed windows 7.

870 Chipset. SATA3. USB3. Decent number of overclocking choices in the BIOS. PCI slots are archaic. Who uses those anymore, much much less three of them. Installed this in a work computer I built for myself today. The install went flawlessly - not a single challenge. Put it together, everything was recognized, and I was on to installing windows. Possibly the most convenient feature is this:You can independently set IDE mode or AHCI mode for SATA ports five and 6. The reason for this is so you don't have to install any unique drivers when installing windows from a CD. You can put your tough disks and SSDs in AHCI on ports 1-four, and optical drive(s) on five-6. It's genius and I've in no way observed it on a board prior to.There are a lot of other good attributes, core unlocking, memory configuration/compatibility tools, overclocking, etc etc.ASUS M4A87TDAMD Phenom x6 1090T4GB GSkill Ripjaws DDR3-1333ATI Radeon 4870Essential RealSSD C300Rosewill Challenger

Nice feature set for the price VIA audio would audibly pop on occasion.Immediately after Win 7 x64 install, method wouldn't sleep effectively. The audio was the final straw for me. Appears like it would time out and disconnect the output, resulting in a loud pop. Then when the system created a sound again, it would pop again as it came back on. Tried ASUS and VIA drivers with no luck. Set the board back.

I actually like ASUS motherboards. I've found them to be particularly reliable. So far not disappointed in this one. Like all the SATA ports. I have 3 internal drives and an ESATA port so making use of four of the 6 ports. Chipset does not support all of the AMD "black" capabilities. Knocked 1 egg off for this. Got a "black" processor and memory only to discover motherboard chipset does not support all of the "black" features. Every thing else is wonderful. I wanted some "future-proofing" so went for the 6GB speed and USB 3. support.

A very good motherboard if you can get it to function correcdly, but your probability of success is low. These are no longer the old reliable motherboards that Asus produced in past. Unstable motherboard. Only 1 out of three booted Windows. I had thre of these boards. The initial 1 loaded Windows OK, but kept crashing until I discovered out to change the setting for my DRAM voltage from Auto to the actual voltage which was1.65V for my Corsair RAM. It has since worked smoothly for three weeks. The second board a week later was quirky and would not install Windows, but hung up. Right after a week's struggle I returned it for a third one. Unfortunately the third 1 was even a lot more unstable and also would not load Windows. In all of the prior cases I updated the board to the newest BIOS. I installed Windows 7 utilizing a unique pc and then put the drive back with this board. When I lastly got it to boot into Windows it crashed Windows. The only settings that worked as soon as was the default setup. It never worked once more no matter what I did, so this one is going back and I will not order yet another one. I have utilised Asus motherboards for 20 years. Setup with them has always been simple and uncomplicated with little or no issues. It has been four years given that I setup my last Asus board. Apparently, Asus boards have lost their high standard and are no longer tops in the business. Anticipate complications with ASsus boards and feel lucky if you get a excellent one.

Cons: The ExpressGate feature probably may be useful for some. But when I enabled it I only had problems with the included software. Had to remove the software and disable ExpressGate, but who cares I don't need instant web access anyway. If I did, I'll use my iPad.

Pros: Works great, trusted ASUS brand name.Great features, but most will likely never get used.Energy Efficient. Software helps lower voltages when PC is idle.

Good board, works great with AMD Phenom X6 1055T. Asus AI Overclocking is easy for n00bs like myself to increase the performance of the machine without the need to tweak voltages and possibly screw things up. Like I said above, stay away from the ExpressGate thing, it's not very useful and could screw things up.I've never had any problem with Asus boards and recommend this one for anyone looking for a fast and reliable base for their new PC. USB3 also ensures my computer can keep up with newer devices too.
