Cons:
Stand is cheap
Pros: Price is very lowTrue 1080pUses LEDsexternal power supply Comment:
The colours on this screen are amazing ! Now when I look at my laptop, it seems not natural... I'm very happy with this screen. The only complain is that the stand is very fragile. I gently pass my finger on the screen to remove some dust and the screen incline. |

if you are considering this monitor buy it!
Comment:
I have had this monitor for a few moths now and it is definitely well worth the price of $209 plus tax I actually work at one of the store and I bought this monitor from the website because they dont carry it in store this monitor looks just as good as the samsung 55 inch LED's I am very pleased with it I recieved it within 2 days of ordering it but that could be because I live only a few hours from corporate and it came looking in pristine condition box looked like it had just left the asus factory the only con I could say this monitor has is it cant be wall mounted other than that best monitor I have ever seen!!! |

for home use only
Comment:
((Pros)) The picture quality on this monitor is outstanding. Colours are amazing and sharpness, once you spend some time adjusting the settings, is good. ((Cons)) Not very robust or sturdy. This monitor is definitely built for home use only. If you look at this monitor from any angle other than straight on the colours change significantly. ()()From the looks of it this monitor looks like it will not last me very long. Overall would not recommend for the price. ($277) |

Great... but major failure
Comment:
The overall product alone, is beyond fantastic. Even though it's fair to mention I'm almost bias to the fact I own two other ASUS displays that have never given me an issue for over a year now. The color is quite rather crisp and does help if you do any kind of editing work with pictures and videos. Only downfall is I wouldn't buy a ASUS display from here since the first I got was defective, dead pixel, crumpled shipping box a bit more than usual. The replacement. Exact same issue on first inspection. Never had that issue with an ASUS before. Coincidence might be the word, but I rather doubt it. Buy it, but check it over completely from every angle you can when the screen is turned on. Please. |

Just Awesome
Comment:
I admit, I was VERY skeptical about a $200 LED monitor, but I was wrong. This monitor is a a steal, and works very well. The picture is nice and clear, and very bright. It does not stretch out the image, and has no dead space on the glass. The one drawback might be the pedestal is a little on the flimsy side, but once set seems fine. I just wonder if I can fit another one on my desk! |

ASUS MS238H Glossy Black / Blue 23" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:HDMI to DVI Cable (3)Buttons (2)Power Savings (1)
Pros:LEDWorks great, looks goodWell priced!? (1)Two cables included (HDMI->DVI, VGA) (3) Comment:
(1) For arguments sake, lets say that you save 20w over a normal LCD monitor. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 48 weeks a year - (20w*8*5*48)*(1kw/1000w) = 38.4 kw per year. Assuming you pay an expensive $.20 per kw you would only save $7.68 per year. Is it worth it to pay $15 more for an LED LCD, I would say yes! Are you saving that much, no.(2) Buttons? As do many others, I do not find these buttons receptive. I have two solutions, lick my finger tips or use the front of my fingers to trip the switch. But really how often do I use them? (1 watt power saving mode)(3) HDMI to DVI cable (included). The HDMI is used to attach to your monitor, and the DVI is for your graphics card. My understanding of the difference between the two connectors is sound. DVI is graphic quality is extremely similar to HDMI, if not the same. What this means is, if you want to plug your headphone/speakers into the screen, you better have a HDMI-HDMI cable. No HDMI-HDMI cord, no fifth star! |

Great Monitor
Comment:
Was going to get on another competing site for a little less, but they were sold out. For good reason this it the best monitor I've ever bought. Zero dead or stuck pixels, the LED backlight it fantastic. and extremely bright. The only downside is the lack of a VESA mount, the ring stand is ok if your sitting high above the monitor. I'm slightly above so its not a problem, but I'd like a VESA option to get it higher off my desk, this thing is HUGE. I imagined the thing would be large, but its much larger than other 23 |

Not as good as you would think it is
Comment:
con -The touch panel isn't very respondsive -stand has the looks but not good to use -major backlight bleeding on all 4 sides of the screen!! the black is pretty bad, like grey It's stated as LED backlit but I have no clue how this problem exsist, either this is edgelit or its' really just a LCD that can't block the light properly, I really can't explain this. -default's seet to max brightness and a bit yellowish. needs some tweak on all modes -you have to view it right at the middle and a bit up looking down for the best colour quailty, or it'll change its colour according to your viewing angle. -no speaker, that makes the HDMI input useless they could of put a DVI or component input if they expect you to output the sound to elsewhere -menus' are badly set up -not any better compareing to the 199 philips24 |

Awesome Display
Comment:
This Monitor has an awesome display and with the different video modes. I'm extremely happy I was able to get one. The only thing I don't like is the round plastic piece at the back that props the monitor up. other then that, it was a steal, and Soooooo Thin! |

Great Monitor for the Price
Comment:
This is an amazing monitor. The screen is beautiful. Being able to use either a DVI or VGA is great. The only problem I could find was the unlabeled menu and brightness controls, but I got used to it after a while. |

ASUS MS238H Glossy Black / Blue 23" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:-touch sensors takes getting used to but functional
Pros:-design is fantastic-lightweight monitor-excellent color-very very sharp picture Comment:
The monitor market has hardly changed...where stands/monitors are unimaginative and down right ugly at times companies still expect a premium for design work carried out since...well since LCD's were created for the computer market. I didn't want 'run of the mill'. Sure the others do the job but in comparison other companies just make 'nice' monitors. It's light...very light. The stand...I read the reviews before I purchased it and was not sure about it....it's a sturdy piece of metal and had it installed in no time....and does the job it's suppose to. The monitor finish is excellent. Overall an excellent product. Concerned about the touch sensors? It does take a bit to get used to but they are actually set quite perfectly. Either side of the scope and they would have been too sensitive or too hard to use....hat's off to ASUS...maybe the other guys will listen. |

ASUS MS238H Glossy Black / Blue 23" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:- Nice if it was more adjustable
Pros:- Price- Picture- Takes Less Power Comment:
For the price you cannot go wrong. With LED its going to consume less power so thats another plus there. Also 2ms which is another plus for gaming. Paired with a good graphic card this is an excellent monitor for the price. Just wish it was 120 Hz though. |

ASUS MS238H Glossy Black / Blue 23" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:- DVI to HDMI cable instead of a real HDMI so I took a Ngear at 5$ here.- The touch button are a pain in the *** at first to use. Reactivity isn't the best but once you've set ur colors you don't touch them anymore so if you just use the power button the touch feature is awesome.- A few options like (Color Skin, Sharpness) aren't available in Standard preset but its the ONLY preset that looks decent. Others are very ugly but give you the possibility to edit these settings however its worthless since the preset will always give you a terrible color.- 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio is pure bull**** as my BenQ that is only 10,000:1 have colors just as good and the black aren't any blacker so yea.. BS.- Lots of backlight bleeding on the far right and a big part of the lower right corner. Prolly the most annoying on this monitor.- Why the hell didn't they make it 24" instead of 23" since it's 1920x1080...- The ring stand is kinda lame just like most people say.
Pros:- Very cool design. Can't get any thiner for a computer monitor.- 1920x1080- Touch buttons are pretty nice but it's also a weakness lol.- Colors are a little more realistic "natural" than on my BenQ E2400HD.- Very low power consumption, seperated power supply "in the cord" instead of behind the monitor. Comment:
Well it's some kind of deception for me. Not only the "LED" doesn't improve anything since the colors are exactly the same as my 10,000:1 BenQ... ok actualy it's maybe 5-10% better on the Asus but I had to put them for 2-3 days side-by-side to finaly take a decision on which I would keep since it's nothing easily noticeable and that it had a lot of blacklight bleeding compare to the BenQ that was 1 inch larger while having no bleeding at all but since I love photography I needed something that could give me more realistic colors. The default colors on the BenQ are discusting but if it's very well set it will be pretty much just as good.I don't regret it much since I've paid only 216$ but I don't think I'd recommand it to someone else since it's not that amazing but its not bad either. I'll keep this until the true OLED monitors are out. |

I love this monitor runs very well has a great picture but the one down is the touch buttons in the front there little tricky because the stand lets the monitor move other then that i would defintly say 9 out of 10 Asus did a great job |

very impressed
Comment:
Sharp, Quick, and incredible color! I love this monitor. Not one dead pixel and COD looks like a different game. Not real crazy about the touch controls, they don't respond perfect so its a little frustrating. I don't really use them except for initial set up so not a big deal. The biggest problem with this monitor is now my side screen looks bad. Looks like I'm going to have to buy another one. cool! |

ASUS MS238H Glossy Black / Blue 23" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:Not Height Adjustable, TN panel.
Pros:Environmental Friendly Design(relatively); attractive looking, Viewing Angle is good for TN. Comment:
Great panel for the price. Like what Asus had the environment in mind when designing this monitor. Bought this over Samsung because I would like to support the environmental-friendly cause.Took a star off because it wasn't height adjustable. |

Awesome
Comment:
I purchased two of these for a customer who needed a dual monitor setup and wow, very impressed. Connecting them both via the HDMI interface and the displays are absolutely stunning. The plastic surrounding the actual LCD screen is a little thicker than on most displays, so two of them side-by-side creates a larger black border between displays than most dual setups, but the quality, brightness and resolution of the displays makes up for that. Overall I am very impressed and so is the customer. |

Good for money
Comment:
Got this two days after I ordered it. Package is fine. Well this monitor is not THAT special. Very good built quality and the touch screen control buttons are really cool. The only thing I don't like this monitor is the stand. The view angle has to be larger than 90 degrees which means you have to sit on a really high chair to look down. This really annoys me because after a while looking down, my neck just feels super sore. Overall this is a great monitor for money. |

VPN: MS238H
I bought this to replace my HP 17" monitor I bought for my cousin, it's a good monitor, very pronounced and it's awesome.
