This MoBo has all a Gamer could require. Efficiency Is fantastic, 100's of overclocking features. Bios Reset switch at the back, detailed manual, 5.1 creative xfi sound card built in (Even Gold Plated). 9+usb two., SATA drive space that supports All Raid. 1 external sata port. The List go's on The insulation pushes against the Mobo and bulges a bit at the back. Over all Not worth the -Egg. This Mobo works with every little thing i've tossed at it. For reference if you are interested in Purchasing this product. Much more connections, bell and whistles than you could shake a stick at. Getting fan headers for all the case fans in my system is nice and accompanying software to manage them truly works. The bios is a bit overwhelming but that's a plus too and the xi-fi chip onboard is nice too, expansion slots are scarce on a matx board. None actually, perhaps the manual could have gone into a little a lot more depth. It's really major and reasonably very good english, but it's like getting an individual read from a power point - it just repeats what the several commands tell you in the the little screen on the correct side of the bios. The lack of usb three or sata 6GB is probably what's driving down the price of this board. Happily I don't thoughts becoming acquiring leading of the line gear that's a generation behind.

working good without having any problemim not gonna overclock so i think it shouldnt break(using i5-750 and g.skill eco ddr3 ram) the sata 3. connecting factor. its on an angle so it was so challenging to put my sata cable in (antec 300 case)

Ok, so... This motherboard is sweet. In no way imagined that there would be a diverse micro mobo. I haven't had a single issue with fitment of anything and I'm rocking an Asus Radeon HD 6950 which is a massive card Power button for my case doesn't plug into the board, to make up for that although the mobo has a begin button on it which fixed that problem until i recieve my new case!

I got this MB for a i5 750 I had sitting on my shelf. After PM, I got it for $127 which was a sweet deal. I am still waiting to purchase my video card(s)so I haven't been able to really put it to the test yet but based on everything so far, very happy with this purchase.

Adore the automatic overclocking function with this board. MB had red vga light and I believed it was something with the video card. Turns out I had a 655K that necessary a bios update. I had to use ROG connect in order to update bios given that it would not originally post. Pretty much RMA the board. Great MB for overclocking. Mine was missing the manual.

It looks fairly. Fairly good layout. -BSODs on Windows install-BSODs on Windows update-BSODs on startup-BSODs after BIOS update, which "improved stability." No reason to tolerate this kind of pure, unadulterated garbage. DO NOT Obtain! Take your time and investigation other boards. Me, I'm giving up on mATX all together. And no more ASUS boards. Ever.

Bought this along with with an intel i5-750, GeIL 4GB ƒ x 2GB) memory, Asus 5870 Gpu, Cooler Master GeminII S cpu cooler, in an Antec Mini P180 case, for my HTPC. Fired correct up, It auto detected the memory properly at 1333mhz. I set up the difficult drives Ɣ) in raid pass-thru (AHCP) and just about every thing works fantastic. the cooler master blows down on the board for excellent cooling So the north bridge stays cool. The stock intel heat-sink sucks. I was going to overclock, but the board auto overclock's the i5-750 up to three.2Ghz and back to two.66Ghz when an application calls for it, so you can save a bit of cash on the energy bill. None This board with an i3-i7 cpu in a Antec Mini P180 or comparable case makes for a fantastic HTPC,

When it works, it is quickly. Effective micro atx. Properly my first was returned for a bad memory slot. The second seemed OK, but there are the memory compatibility issues. If its not on the approved list, then it most likely wont work. The worst portion of this motherboard is the sound. It sounds terrific when it works. The Creative X-FI is just an all about horrible and unstable chip. I have updated bios, and drivers, and googled to no end attempting to find a answer. It appears to be a prevalent issue with the X-FI. It locks up continually though gaming. You will be gaming just fine and then the sound begins receiving weird and choppy. It gets worse and worse ultimately creating graphics choppy, and then locking up the whole program. I have to restart this about ever 10-40min. It makes no sense when it chooses to do it. This chip even has much less options than your regular 7.1ch Realtek audio chip. Pure rubbish. I am so mad at this board. I can't return it, and I don't want a replacement. Its mostly the audio chip on the board that makes it junk. I just ordered a different one and behold; all my issues are gone.

- Comes with every little thing you need to have such as 6 black sata cables and a padded rear panel with stylish color. - Supports crossfire/SLI. Even though it runs at 8xǞx employing 2 cards, PCI-E two. 8x is sufficient bandwidth to support contemporary cards with out seeing any significant bottlenecking problems. - Excellent color, the start off button on the mobo is valuable. - X-Fi is a excellent addition to a mATX. - Wonderful to function with. - Check the supported memory list on ASUS's web page. - Presently utilizing G.Skill Ripjaws (model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL) for memory. Boots fine and works OK, but has problems. If I bring the memory up to 1600 (what its rated for), I see frequent crashes. Running Prime95 for over 20 minutes virtually usually encounters an error which I think is memory related.See supported memory here: http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=YwO7uzOlu1js0TqM&templeteɤ

Nice Color that match my PC case , quite stable , working with it to OC my I7 860 to 4.4ghz, small and has X-FI!! Takes a bit to boot up since it runs all the diagnostic test and you can tell by the LED on the motherboard. Cant wait for the Asus Extreme with five PCI-E!! 16x16x16x8x8 Woohoo!!!

Cons: mATX

Pros: easy overclock nice performance
Comment:
i would say i prefer it to it's atx equivalent, because of the lack of space when using cf or sli, but it gave some of the best OC possibility and it permit a lot of addon onboard. in two word, great buy

ASUS Maximus III GENE Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: No usb 3.0? Since this is kind of old board.

Pros: design, compact sizeGreat price for Asus ROG series.
Comment:
I would this board is very nice.first of all it's size is small so whoever wants a good gaming board but wanna save some space, this is the board for you. The board size is mATX so most case will be ok with this board. I dont use CF or SLI but since this can support up to 2 G-Card this would be good enough for regular gamers. Bios is better than any other cheaper boards. Easy to OC and bit better looking. The board design is cool and if you want to OC it to extreme, you can tweak it with your notebook by USB connection.

ASUS Maximus III GENE Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: I have yet to find one

Pros: Great price for a quality board
Comment:
I purchased this board for a midrange gaming pc and I got exactly what I expected with this mainboard Asus quality. This board has most of the functions that its big brother has the maximus III formula and looks great in an appropriate chassis. I would definatly recomend this board if you dont want to spend big bucks on an extreme version this fits the bill perfecttly.

Cons: Lack of USB 3.0 and 6 Gb/S

Pros: I also bought this motherboard after having read some very good reviews on internet. So far i haven't been disapointed at all. Even with CPU, Ram and GPU overcloked, it still runs a 32C temps. Programs that come with the board are great for first time overclockers.

Pros: Overclocks well, sli and asus quality.
Comment:
I bought this motherboard because of the great reviews. I wanted a good motherboard that would allow me to overclock and play games without having to worry too much about the motherboard. I haven't had any compatibility issues and it worked like a charm the first time I turned on my computer. I would recommend this board to anyone, it is a really nice looking motherboard and there really isn't anything better performance wise for a matx on this platform.
