fantastic color and brightness, lots of selections for display, plugged straight in and ran it no probs, in spite of what other ppl say it is terriffic. wish the built in speakers exactly where louder and it does wiggle a bit when u push the buttons on it, but not worth taking an egg off in my opinion.

Base assembly was a snap, unlike many other make/models. The price tag was also a crucial aspect. It looks great, even when employing non-wide screen formats, and does not seem to suffer when not utilizing its 'native' resolution. I would deduct 1ǘ egg, (if I could,) due to the speaker volume being Substantially lower than any other I have used [and that would be a substantial quantity, offered what I do for a living ;-) ] the 'connection method' facts window [saying VGA or DVI] that popped-up numerous occasions for the duration of the boot method was unusual, annoying, and unnecessary. Ordinarily you would only see it once at the very beginning; and why eggxactly does the user will need to be bombarded with this information on every single boot ?If switching from a CRT, beware: working with refresh rates below 70 triggered it to go "out of range." So modify it higher before you hook it up!

The monitor is vibrant, sharp, and yes it does tilt. DSub looks good thru my KVM, DVI looks appear fantastic from my docking station. There is no input button (DVI vs DSub) on the monitor, so switching is navigating a couple on-screen menus. The monitor is extremely wobbly -- if my table shakes, the monitor acts like a bobble-head doll. Neither of the cons are negative sufficient to make me want to return the monitor (I have totally free return shipping), but they may possibly annoy some folks.

Image is vibrant and clear with a wonderful color balance and lots of area for adjustments. No dead pixels, and the LED is a large step-up from classic LCD screens. Terrible stand. Like others have said, the slightest motion of my desk and the monitor wiggles. I am starting to get used to it, but it actually is a design flaw. -1 egg mainly because of the stand. Don't let the stand preserve you from this great monitor. It looks and performs well and ASUS is a top notch company that actually backs up their goods. Fix that stand even though!

Vivid screen, extremely sharp picture when the correct software is loaded. No visual flaws (missing pixels, and so on). I like it. I have to agree with other people: the stand is really poor. Lots of jiggle and shake when the desk gets bumped (unless you have a really solid desk). Other than that, no complications. My old Samsung monitor was solid as a rock compared to this one particular. Minus one particular egg for the stand. I've utilized Samsung each at function (where we had 40~ of them) and at residence for many Ɩ+) years. This 1 is as excellent (and the Samsungs are, imo, seriously good monitors at a similar price tag point). My 1 comment (and it's not a critique) is that if you are used to the old, square aspect ratio monitors and are "moving up" to a wide screen, you need to have to go up a minimal of 1" in diagonal size, 2" is superior and three" is very best due to the fact the reduction in vertical will drive you nuts scrolling up and down. For gaming or other, video-intensive applications (CAD, photo editing), you must in all probability be at 23" minimum. I will be upgrading shortly; (sounds like I just purchased a new boat and have a case of two-footitis already d:o) ). That'll get me HDMI input as nicely.

-LED-Didn't even comprehend it had speakers built into it, believed it was a typo based on pictures-came with ALL crucial cables-Looks wonderful, in particular Crysis maxed out with 4xAA at 1440x900 Wish I could go greater res? lol For 89.99 when I only had 93$ to devote on black friday, I really got a wonderful deal for my very first 16ɍ monitor. If luck permits i could even grab two more in the subsequent handful of years to get some good Surround vision going on

Incredibly excellent picture quality and automatically adjusts to best settings. Excellent value. Does not work properly with video cards a number of years or older, mainly because of it getting widescreen. My video card did not have a resolution setting for widescreen so everything looked fat, had to get new video card.

Purchased this item for my new method I just built. I went for a high end vgc so I thought I would get a decent screen for it. I like the light, feels uncomplicated on the eyes and with all the time I spend on-line working on blogs and web-sites, performing graphic perform and gaming I required one thing that wouldn't burn my eyes out. This one does just that. The price was outstanding on black friday and couldn't pass it up. NewEggs shipping rocks. Effortless to put to gether and setup even a novice shouldn't have a problem, controls are simple to get to all and all a excellent deal at the time. Appears a bit little for a 19, Asus does not supply driver assistance for this item and so it installs as a generic plug and play. DVI chord is a bit brief so if you have your method a distance from your desktop you'll need a longer chord. Had I known this would seem smaller for a 19 I would have gone the added few bucks and bought the 22 inch on BF

For the price (on sale for less than ninety bucks) it was a terrific deal as it was to upgrade an old 17-inch CRT monitor. Viewing angle appears extremely limited (straight on and that's it!). Speakers are horrible - not positive why they even bothered.

Big improvement over my 5 year old full screen. I wasn't positive what to anticipate from purchasing an ๩ LCD (bought it during Black Friday), but I certain am glad I did.The stand is sturdy as lengthy as you screw it in correctly. Built in speakers aren't worth working with..but that's ok considering that I in no way planned on using them. The frame is finger print prone. For such a low cost you can't truly go wrong with this item.

Fantastic resolution, brightness, and contrast. DVI and D-sub connection, no dead pixels, SHARPNESS adjustment. Lightweight and slim design. Effortless setup, haven't tested the speakers, but anyone in their appropriate mind wouldn't rely on built-in speakers for home use. Base isn't the sturdiest - some screen wobble when typing, a lot more when adjusting monitor settings. Viewing angle could be greater, picture dims if not looking almost dead-on. These aren't annoying sufficient to take an egg though. Upgraded from an old 14" LCD with like a 100Ʌ contrast... Major difference with the LED backlighting! Good resolution for desktop applications and games. Theater mode with some tweaking appears to give the very best balance of brightness, contrast and color. ASCR works properly, but takes too long to kick in with games. Games appear gorgeous, by the way - superior detail in dark areas and incredibly dark blacks. Truly makes the images pop. Also pairs perfectly with my HD 5670 - most games run smoothly on high at 1440x900.

Good price and decent size. I haven't completed any gaming or anything on it so far, but it looks nice. The built in speakers are lousy, but I didn't get it for the speakers, so I'm not going to take an egg. So the entire frame came surrounded with that plastic sheeting that is enjoyable to pull off, which is perfectly fine and really should be expected. I pulled it all off, and a day or two later I felt a piece of plastic on the bottom of the frame, and I pulled it off. Turns out it was some sticker that voids the warranty if pulled off. Now this may well be normal on monitors, I have no concept. But it's still type of stupid they didn't make the sticker red or some thing to warn me of the voided warranty. Moral: Check each and every sticker.

Excellent price (๩.99 black friday), bright clear display, easy installation, DVI/VGA input. Built-in speakers are poor, but who buys a monitor for the speakers? As one other reviewer stated the screen tends to wobble just a bit since of its base, absolutely nothing key. The menu buttons were a bit frustrating to use given that theyre all under the monitor. This was a fantastic pickup. My old monitor that I had for 4 years crapped out on me black friday morning, so I instantly went to newegg and discovered this nice deal. Hopefully this monitor lasts me longer than four years.

I utilized a hardware monitor calibrator and the results are truly impressive - the average color deviation is .6 and the max one is 1.2 (those are both superb results). The contrast is about 900Ʌ, max brightness close to 290cd.The picture is crisp and clear and I like the matte display. LED. The viewing angles aren't impressive but I knew that just before purchasing. I'd be happier with matte monitor frame and stand instead of a glossy one. The base is too light and you have to hold it when tilting the display. HDMI would have been nice .Speakers are nearly useless. Good acquire for ๪.

The image top quality is every little thing I expected with the specs. Images are photo quality on the screen from the high 10mɅ contrast. Assassin's Creed two looks excellent on it, along with numerous older games that I can now max out the graphics on, waiting to see ME2 on it. ASUS may possibly have created a fantastic screen but the speakers leave some thing to be desired. I would recommend ASUS monitors but I would say to save that little bit of income for the built in speakers and spend it on obtaining a pair of stand alone speakers, as I ended up doing. I am running on a Sapphire Radeon 5570, I ran on the Intel Core i3 for a day whilst I waited for my new power-source to arrive and it was still fantastic but I did not do any gaming on it.
