I got the monitor to replace a 19inch I've had for a while as I wanted more screen space to work with. So far the monitor has been great for what I'm using it for: gaming, web development, and other general stuff. Out of the box I had to adjust the brightness as it was so bright it gave me a headache other than that it was just plug it in and go. Though for some games since I've turned down the brightness the colours aren't as vivid, but the monitor has a feature that allows you to change modes for gaming, movies etc with a click of a button which is nice. I haven't experience any lag or any problem during gaming.I can't comment on the speakers as I haven't used them, though I can't see them being a replacement for a headset or stand alone speakers. The stand the monitor sits on is not very sturdy but not enough for it to be a huge concern but the base does take up a lot more desk space then my previous monitor; I'm not a fan of the circular base.Also worth mentioning but doesn't have anything to do with the monitor itself is that I ordered the monitor Thursday and it arrived Friday which was nice, the express shipping was only $4 more then regular ground.All in all this a is a good monitor especially considering the price, I was able to price match is for $200, I'd have no problem recommending it.

The monitor is employed for function and browsing, not for gaming. It is vibrant and sufficiently sharp. For my purposes, the monitor is entirely satisfactory. I have noticed any dead pixels. Base is not as solid as I would have liked.

Very good image high quality and response time. Low-cost cost. I've purchased two of these. (one about a year ago). Both created a single dead pixel every single, towards the edge of the screen. The dead pixels are disappointing but given that they are at the edge of the screen they can be worked about.

Cost-effective pricing for this type of monitor. Screen is crystal clear and the buttons are basic. This monitor is a bit challenging to get used to due the the height problem since the monitor is on a short base; but the key issue is the firm did not provide a complete manual to help you recognize the distinct settings on the monitor. Had to go to the internet site and appear up the white pages on this monitor to figure out a setting feature.

I like the way they look. They had been pretty low-cost for the brand/size so I bought two. I like the way they appear a lot. The stands suck. But who the hell cares; most of us are utilizing aftermarket stands anyway. I'm glad I bought these when I did, later on that night they went out of stock. Good image. Have PS3 and laptop or computer plugged into this thing. Awesome product so far. I have to manual switch to different inputs. Base seems cheap but nonetheless operates. No tilt Hope this item last a long time me and my wife adore it.

Fantastic monitor! Contrast and color are great and the contrast ratio is good. Before I bought this monitor I've noticed a couple critiques about problems with flickering but thought it wouldn't take place to me due all the 5-egg feedback. Following about a week, it started flickering (like a screen tear) and its progressively gotten worse. I seriously wish ASUS would provided some very good buyer support and back up their fantastic motherboard reputation with fantastic monitors too.

Good contrast ratio, quite vibrant, no dead pixels. Excellent response time. Pictures in 1080p are beautiful. None so far. A wonderful upgrade from a standard 17" monitor. Wasen't certain about receiving an ASUS at very first but now im glad i went for it.

Huge stunning screen, good resolution, size is gorgeous, quite a few inputs, tilt manage assists for tall viewers, lightweight No height adjustment, settings must be tweaked the moment to get very good image I got this soon after having a 17" CRT set. If you're carrying out the identical, get prepared to be blown away!!! I picture users of other LCDs probably aren't as impressed, but this point is beautiful. I play mass impact 2, sins of a solar empire, and age of empires 3 on this thing and they all appear stunning. I have read others' comments on right here about 1920x1080 vs 1920x1200 but I have to say, points appear excellent at 1080p. The monitor did will need some adjustment out of the box but it wasn't that massive of a deal... set it and forget it. I hooked it up to an external 2.1 sound technique and the issue booms :) I can't imagine what five.1 would be like! I go via DVI as I have a radeon 5870 so I used the DVI connection. It included the cable which is nice also. If you require a monitor, for the price, this is a 100% winner!!!

Size, Cost Point, Smallish bezel taking into consideration its not an LED, HDMI on board, Bright out of the box (actually turned it down), 2ms does fine for typical gaming. Not totally sold an Asus high quality however, Speakers built in are for OS/Warning tones only, I in no way planned on working with them, but music is terrible out of them. If decent sound is a have to get an external set of speakers, do not count on these past OS tones and theme sounds. Would have liked height adjustment as an selection, but at this price point black friday week i cant take away an egg.

Rapid response time, good for gaming. As the reviewer below me stated, I should have gotten a poor a single. NO matter what I do, contrast and brightness just don't mix. I've calibrated it a dozen occasions and nevertheless can't get this factor to appear excellent. WAY to vibrant. I'll be RMA'ing this and acquiring a thing else. I purchased two of these monitors as presents for my wife and myself. Newegg had a wonderful deal early in the Christmas shopping season. They have each been good, no difficulties with either. I am quite happy with the excellent of the display. None so far. I wish there was an equivalent model with adjustable height/tilt/swivel stand.

Great monitor, excellent image. Matte screen. No dead pixels. Some minor light bleed on the left side. I would advocate it for daily use, but the light bleed might be an matter if you're preparing on watching films frequently on it. It's not a big concern, but if you're looking for a "perfect" screen, then this isn't it.

Characteristics, Excellent Image Audio did not function from HDMI, or from DVI/VGA I will be sticking with Hanns-G. Have not had an concern with those monitors, the ASUS did not function out of the box. Will not get ASUS monitors once more.

2ms response, 24" and shinny frame. Looks great, functions flawless color reproduction is fantastic and not too vivid! Came with anything I needed and shipping was quick! ASUS is a excellent item! I bough it for 贵 "open box" but is worth the asking price! Was mad they ran out of them....would of bought two but will be acquiring yet another one soon to run dual monitors! Newegg ran out of open box for 贵.....so sad :( I read some complaints and it seems no matter how excellent a item can be an individual will generally complain. I have no vested interest in this product or corporation so my 5 egg rating is because of honest judgement!
