It is an awesome size for the price tag for 1 monitor gaming. Response time is fairly darn decent. As other people have stated, you'll have to tone the brightness down and do a little tweaking to adjust it to your preference. There are some preset adjustments (theater, gaming, and so on), which aren't too negative even though.I found 1 dead pixel in mine, One particular. I would have offered it 5 eggs if not for that f*cker. It's sitting about two inches from the top in the 2 o'clock position.

Definitely every little thing I wanted in a monitor. Incredibly sharp picture. Perfect size, not to major (which would be worse than too little IMHO), and definitely not modest. Not even a hint of an dead/stuck pixel. Greatest obtain I have made in a lengthy time. None that I can think of. Men and women say the stand is flimsy, I don't know how they computize but it's not a problem for me. If you are shaking your desk or some thing it wobbles a bit, but other than that it's pretty stable to me. One other note, soon after working with this monitor for a although and trying to use a person else's that isn't wide screen or this big... its like... frightening to see how narrow it seems.

1080P monitor has crystal clear picture. Quick and uncomplicated setup and looks great. Wonderful monitor and a good price tag! No cons that I've noticed as of however!

Massive and vibrant. None Replaced normal format 19" monitor with this 24" wide screen because the screen height was within 1ǚ" of the 19" and the cost was correct. It got me dizzy for the very first couple of days till I got employed to the additional width. Now I wonder how I managed with just a 19".

Outstanding for the value. It has a bright and crisp image. Superior for gaming also. The built-in speakers suck but what do you expect from such tiny speakers, anyways. I required to update my vedio card to get it operate with perfectly with this monitor. Doesn't come with HDMI cable. Just before shopping for this monitor I wanted to purchase a 3D monitor buy due to the fact 3D monitors are in the early stages of improvement I figured I far better off with 2D monitors.

Purchased 2 of these to use in a dual monitor setup. Pretty great sounding speakers, fantastic picture and video graphics. High high quality enclosure. Wonderful invest in for the income! Does not have a USB hub. I'd suggest the addition of a USB hub and vertical height adjustment stand.Nonetheless, for the price tag it's a great deal!

This is a huge monitor; and a wonderful bargain. It is large sufficient to have two documents open, and be in a position to comfortably read both. I can prop open two terminals side by side and run vim and be able to see a serviceable quantity of text/code. Incredibly light monitor IMO. I'm really glad that it supports VGA connection too, so it can operate with older comps AND newer ones; to quote those Glade commercials: "plug it in, plug it in" The appearance of the glossy black plastic is a tiny bit cheesy, and the base of the monitor feels chintzy, fortunately, it isn't as heavy as its size would suggest.Also, it seems like the actual controls on the monitor are a tiny weakly constructed; they're just really shallow buttons, with no mechanical action/movement. Working with them to adjust brightness, contrast, etc could be less complicated. I am extremely glad I bought this monitor so far; suits my desires perfectly, and it seems like it will be simple to move as well.

Owned for just under a year. Working good other than dead pixel that has about nine lives. When I received the monitor it had a dead pixel. I contacted Newegg and the manufacturer and I was informed that one dead pixel is not enough for a return. Whilst I disagree, not a lot could be done. I tried just about each and every "method" found online with no achievement. One day the dead pixel came back to life and almost everything was just fine. The pixel has given that died and came back to life various occasions. Presently, the pixel is alive and well. Monitor is fantastic and will soon be getting a second 1 for dual monitors.

I adore it. I've applied it for console gamin and personal computer gaming. I took it to Final Round XIV in Atlanta final year and everyone wanted to play on this monitor specifically given that it's renowned for its Remarkable response time. It was and still is a good monitor for the price tag. I've owned this model for well over a year now and it still displays the image perfectly fine. When I initially received it I had 1 dead pixel. I was in a position to fix it by searching up solutions online. It only took a day to fix and given that I'm not a picky individual I didn't deem it needed to take off an egg for a challenge that was very easily fixable. When I construct my new rig I am undoubtedly going with an ASUS brand LED monitor.

Affordable (赉), good excellent, no dead pixels, nice picture soon after corrections. Many inputs (means connection of various devices is achievable). Some individuals complained the stand is too low. For me it is a bit too high, but quite close to optimal height. Awful out of the box adjustments; monitor needed full brightness, contrast, color adjustment to be of acceptable (and eventually good) quality. Stand allows only tilt, not height adjustments (but it was just 赉...) Even though I gave it only 4 eggs (for dreadful out of the box image top quality) I very recommend this monitor for exceptional cost/quality value.

Great price, gorgeous picture with quite little adjustment necessary out of the box, and no dead pixels! Glossy finish collects fingerprints and the little ridges on the base make dust cleanup tougher than it really should be. Once I got it and set it up I was extremely impressed, but then realized that I had some extra space on my desk and wish I would have sprung for the 27" - although that would have been over 贄 a lot more...

Incredibly clear, bright screen. Good construct excellent, haven't had a single issue with it yet. None Awesome screen; got it for Black Friday at a excellent deal and haven't regretted it for a second. Fantastic purchase!

Good contrast and color, looks much better than my rich buddies Samsung 60" which is also 1080P and has a five,000,000Ʌ RATIO. Scenery mode seems to be the greatest bet for all about use, unless you wish to tweak the settings yourself. It's also incredibly clear and vibrant. This is a steal at 赨. Wish I could adjust the height, but it's not a real flaw. I'm not positive if it will last, but the monitor and stand appear durable to me atleast. Honestly, it's a matter of taking care of your goodies.

Straightforward to install. Solid bezel. Incredibly large in size. No dead pixels or bright pixels. Has HDMI, VGA, and DVI connectors in the back. You can get high def 1920x1080p resolution utilizing the supplied DVI cable, you don't want an HDMI cable. Fairly bright. The speakers that are built in aren't that good. It doesn't bother me, I'm just saying. I'm replacing a Dell 20" 1680x1050 monitor.

Monitor works fantastic. Uncomplicated to set up. Switches from VGA to DVI to HDMI with ease The stand feels low cost but it does the job.

Extremely Bright and No Dead Pixels. None so far. I was holding out for a 24" Samsung monitor to come down to the proper cost, when I came across this one. What sold me was the 1000 plus reviews and it nonetheless had 5 eggs! I figured there was a reason for that. Quite pleased with this monitor.

effortless set up, various inputs, clean crisp view. great office monitor. none however. Built in speakers are OK for beeps and such. Bought three for the workplace. Typically powered 100% of the time and viewed 45%.

Significant screen area for the price. No dead pixels in 10 months and lots of hours of use. Excellent possibilities for inputs. This screen a greater value at 赨 than it was at 超 when I purchased it.I had to have a 1920x1080 native resolution rather than a 1650xwhatever screen than alot of monitors in the price range had 10 months ago, and it was worth it.Sees desktop use and lots of WoW. Some backlight bleedthru on blacks/dark places. I was shocked at the emphasis on reds when I hooked it up, but if you twiddle with video settings in Windows you can get it to work to your satisfaction.If you're going to be moving this monitor alot, get one with more metal in it. If you're not going to move it, the construction is fine. Acquire or use different speakers, or a headset for sound.Onscreen button controls are.... intriguing, but adjust it and forget it. Resolution auto-sense button easy to remember and hit if you require it.This is a TFT monitor, if I had been acquiring an additional 1 now I would hold out for a IPS monitor. Do some study. I would obtain this monitor again if I necessary a matched set, but if you're getting a high use monitor and you require excellent color-matching, get an IPS (In Plane Switching?) monitor, specifically due to the fact they've come down so considerably in cost.

I bought two of these monitors when they had been on sale for 赨 dollars, they are amazing in my eyefinity setup. Wish they had adjustable height stands, but for 赨 bucks I may well just wall mount them. I never hesitate to purchase asus products. Specific folks complain about their customer service but i've never had anything but a positive encounter with them.

Great color and refresh timing. Haven't had any complications with the two I purchased. As other people mentioned, the stand is a bit flimsy (still solid sufficient although)..but for the price I have don't seriously consider this a con. I've in no way written a assessment before on Newegg, in spite of purchasing thousands of dollars worth of hardware. But seeing as how this monitor is apparently no longer being sold; I felt compelled to write this. I purchased my initially VW246H about a year ago, loved it from the word go. Less than a year following that I bought another 1, as I like having dual monitors and actually loved the quality. In reality I bookmarked this page, with the expectation of becoming able to purchase at least 1 additional for my wife.Sadly it's been out of stock for three weeks now. Based on prior experiences, this is commonly an indication that the business is fazing out a item line. Having won quite a few awards and receiving pages upon pages of positive critiques I can't imagine why Asus would cease producing these now. If you want to update the technologies and produce some thing new with the identical excellent and value as this I'm fine with that! But please respond to this assessment so we know whats going on
