ASUS VW266H Black 25.5" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor Built in Speakers
Cons:Comes with a very ugly standQuite heavy and thick (need a big strong desk)Colours appear a bit washed.

Pros:Excellent price for the size.Includes all popular inputs (even component)Built in speakers.Fast response time (works well with PS3/Xbox360)
Comment:
I live in a small bedroom and am always on the move, so a big LCD TV would not do. I needed a monitor that can display multiple sources. After a few weeks of research, I purchased this for just under $300. I bought this LCD because of its array of available connections. It serves more than a PC monitor for me, and is currently connected with the following:1. D-Sub(VGA): Secondary display for my netbook2. DVI: Desktop3. HDMI: Playstation 34. Component: Playstation 2/Cable boxSince it is a such a big monitor, you will be sitting farther away than usual. So the larger pixel pitch works well for this reason. The overall design is minimalist/ergonomic , except the crappy stand. The display is quite thick, so it takes quite a bit of room. With all the connections attached, there is very minimal delay when switching among display inputs. The picture quality is just acceptable. Not good for photo editing, but great for fast action gaming. I would definitely recommend.Did I mention the stand is ugly? It resembles a stack of vinyl records. When given the chance, use the VESA mount instead.

ASUS VW266H Black 25.5" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor Built in Speakers
Cons:Image quality is not great. Poor viewing angles make for significant color distortion across the screen, even when viewed dead center.

Pros:Size: huge!Price: cheap!Design: classic clean design, no BS.OSD: very easy to navigate, compared to Samsung.Lots of inputs, including HDMI. Also, no dead pixels.
Comment:
I had to return the first of these monitors because of significant backlight bleed around the edges, especially at the bottom of the screen. I just got the replacement today - a lot better than the first one. This monitor offers good value for the $290 price, after rebate. However, you have to be realistic in your expectations. For this price, you will not get perfection. The image is not great. Colors look washed out, blacks are not as deep as on a Samsung. Also there is some variation in color across the screen, from slight green tint on the left, to reddish tint on the right. This is more noticeable on a white screen. Also, this is less noticeable when brightness is set at max - probably why that is the default setting. However, at that level you will need to wear sunglasses. There is also some backlight bleed at the bottom of the screen. The viewing angles are not great, and on a monitor of this size, that is important, because you get color distortion at the corners of the screen just as a result of the viewing angle. The speakers are a bonus, they are good for watching the news on CNN if you have a TV card, but you can not rely on them for music or movies. Anyway, I am giving this monitor four stars, because in the "value" category it deserves it. It would really be unfair to compare it to other monitors that cost 2-3x as much. For $290, you get a lot of screen - just be realistic in your expectations when it comes to performance. Bought this LCD for my desktop after weeks of researching LCD's. It fits in a niche between the Samsung T240 and T240HD but is cheaper than both. Works very well for everyday use, web browsing, word processing and gaming. 1:1 pixel mapping for use with 1080p output from my PS3 via HDMI. Takes up almost no desk space mounted to an Ergotron MX desk mount via vesa mount.I would not recommend this LCD for any task that requires accurate colours. Even compared to my 2 other TN panel LCD's the colours on this LCD are off.For the price and what I use it for it is perfect. Would definitely buy it again. I buy this monitor to replace a 22 inch LG LCD monitor and what a difference. This monitor is so big. It's perfect for internet and gaming because it's 16/10 ratio. Colors are perfect. Sound is ok.... but who care. I have speakers better than that. It's a very good monitor.Pour le prix et même en comparant avec des écrans plus chers comme LG, c'est un excellent moniteur. Je suis entièrement satisfait et je n'ai pas de dead pixel ou aucun défault. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-02-10 06:57 PM

ASUS VW266H Black 25.5" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor Built in Speakers
Cons:dead pixels on first 2 units

Pros:size, price
Comment:
I figured I would go with a dual screen setup and since my current monitor (Samsung 2693HM) isn't readily available and this had decent reviews, I figured that another 25.5" monitor would make the most sense to purchase. I can't seem to match the colors exactly with my original Samsung, but so far its not too bad. Main reason why I found this Asus monitor to be more attractive than some others is the number of inputs as well as having built-in speakers. My only issue is that I didn't get a dead-pixel-free unit the first time; it took 3 monitors before I got my dead-pixel-free unit...so I would highly recommend getting the express coverage which allows you up to 3 exchanges if you get any dead pixels.

Pour 290$, on ne peut trouver mieux. J'hésitait avec le Samsung 24 pouces et plus cher mais finalement, je ne regrette pas. La qualité est là.

Comment:
This is an EXCELLENT monitor!. For the price of $289.99(sale or pricematch)It CANT be beat! There is no ghosting and everything is very smooth. Its much smoother then my old Samsung 2253BW. Backlight bleed is very UNnoticable.(its a very slight bleed, but much better then the Samsung 2253BW)Standard Colors are boring. I recommend you set them to Theater and then go from there using the Saturation setting and color controls. The colors look great after some tweaking. There is no input lag from what i can tell ( playing crysis and other Pc games).Only complaint is that you can notice grain in the video playback when sitting 2 feet or closer to the monitor. Its very slight but you can tell its there. All in all for this price this monitor cannot be beat and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good gaming monitor!.

All in all this is an awesome monitor for the price when on sale for games. I love this monitor and the selection in 1980x1200 isn't very big but I can have 2 windows open right next to each other when I work without any problem. This is no IPS panel, but I'm really impressed by the quality of this product for a TN monitor. I'm itching to set up a dual display of those bad boys now ....!

ASUS VW266H Black 25.5" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor Built in Speakers
Cons:no left and right rotation, must turn the whole base but does that really matter?

Pros:Huge, lots of ports, great display quality, gaming is superb, plays 1080p (1920x1080) just great with 1:1 scaling. The stand has a just fine amount of downwards tilt, could do with a bit more upwards tilt.no dead pixels.
Comment:
Definitely not much choice in 1920x1200 monitors these days but this is definitely a great choice. I'm no hardcore LCD hardware buff but I'm still a sucker for quality and this monitor has it.

Cons:You can't have it on a desk

Pros:HUGE, good colour, beautiful!
Comment:
I love this new monitor I have because in my games I can now see everything clearer and better. The only downside to this monitor is that you can't have it sitting on a normal desk because you are way too close to it and is overwhelming it needs to be sit farther back. We bought this to use as our TV and gamer monitor and so far we are very pleased with it. We got it on sale for about $300, great deal!
