Antec ISK 300-65 Black Computer Case
Comment:
Smaller than my other ITX case. Appears sturdy by weight. Handy small stand for vertical mounting. External energy brick. Quite soft metal--can't be steel. My specific unit appears bent or deformed although no shipping damage apparent. Poor layout--short power cables, 2.5" disks get zero cooling behind the poorly thought-out cage rails. Front bezel is plastic with thrown together molded ports. This factor still requirements a lot of function. It's absolutely no Antec 900 case for style, workmanship or good quality. With a couple of stellar engineers it could be great, but it's not there yet. I wish I would have looked about a small additional prior to purchase. Simply didn't get what I hoped and have come to anticipate from Antec. |

Antec ISK 300-65 Black Computer Case
Comment:
Includes slimline SATA cable for the optical drive. It also consists of the screws to install the optical drive, so if you get a bare OEM drive, you don't will need to order any extra parts to total installation. Really quiet case, if you replace the included fan. Also, if you require more power than the included 65w, the DC-DC board can manage input from power bricks up to 100w. Paint scratches effortlessly. |

Antec ISK 300-65 Black Computer Case
Cons:Not enough power for an I3
Pros:Small CaseIncludes Power Supply Comment:
I've been running two as HTPCs for the last year or so with I3-5xx combos in them and the Gigabyte 1556 motherboards.Started noticing crashing in XBMC so I pulled out handy Prime95 and Speedfan. Crashed under load within 60 seconds.I'm going to put out a quick assumption that this should be used for extremely low power PCs in the 65w variant. Atom etc.Unfortunately it would be cheaper to replace the entire case then to try to replace the power supply (board cable brick).Otherwise aside from the fan assembly falling apart it's a fairly decent case. |

Antec ISK 300-65 Black Computer Case
Cons:ATX 24-pin power cable is too short!!!
Pros:BeautifulSmallSolidWell VentilatedFanless Brick PSUTypical Antec Quality Comment:
I love Antec cases, and I've tried more than a few. This one has the same DC-DC power adapter as the Mini Skeleton, which would have been fine, except in this particular case design it doesn't quite reach the connector on the motherboard. Well, it does, but there is tension on the cable.I tried reversing the power adapter in the case, which gave better reach on the cable, but then the cable was strectched over the CPU heatsink; not great for cooling, even if you ITX board is low power. That in itself would have been tolerable, but because the adapter mounts are off-centre in the case, the power cables were now too tight against the side of the case and they ended up getting caught in the case cover as I attempted to put it back on.Ultimately I had to put it back to its original position and live with some tension on the board's connector. You may have better luck with other boards in this case, but beware the Intel D510MO. It works, but the tightness of the cable is unnerving. |

Antec ISK 300-65 Black Computer Case
Cons:* Unnecessary optical drive bay cover detracts from style / front panel not nearly as nice as aluminum panels (fake-mesh pattern)* Including a 90W adapter would be more appropriate* Those using aftermarket coolers would wish Antec hadn't extended the drive carrier to the back of the case, as it will unnecessarily impede taller low-profile heatsink solutions.* Nitpicks: dc power cable is too short to route cleanly; one or two standard I/O punchouts would have been nice (appears to be set up for a power plug hole, perhaps for the ISK 400 model?)
Pros:* Very efficient DC-DC power board, likely supports 120W (at least 90W) with a separate AC supply* USEFUL power cable set with rare mini SATA power connector, 2x regular SATA power, 20+4pin and 4pin, 2xLP4 & L4 floppy; most cables are the right length too* Supports 2x 80mm case fans with decent, controlled airflow path* Great build quality, 0.8mm steel with rolled edges, removable 2.5" drive tray* Enough headroom for stock cooler while maintaining a small case volume* Does not suffer from awkward SFX power supply placement or related noise Comment:
Overall, I am very pleased with the build quality, cable set, cooling path, and power solution for this case. The front panel isn't as bad as it seemed in pics, though I would prefer they left off the (manually-released) drive bay cover - especially since it covers a slimline bay.I picked up one of these cases recently and decided to move my DG45FC/E7400 build into it to test out its cooling potential, since it provides for 2 80x80x25mm case fans and offers a cleaner installation for my 4-drive array (note product only supports 2x 2.5" drives + slim optical drive as shipped). While I still tend to prefer my Travla/Casetronic C137 cases, this one is highly available and less expensive. The stock low-profile Intel cooler fits in both cases, but there is more headroom in this one for other solutions ( |

1: Small foot print looks like it meant to be along side my Onkyo 507 AV receiver. two: Comes with the slim SATA energy cable required for the slim cd/dvrom.3: Simple access 1: Paint scratches rather effortlessly notice this following technique setup.two: With there only getting four screw holes for Motherboard installation it can cause MB flex when installing ram. They could have included a rubber stand off or two to shore up below the MB "ZOTAC ION 330A-U" to aid with flex. I just installed the ram just before installing the motherboard.
