beast. far more power than most systems will ever use. more connectors than you will be in a position to use. DOA. no switch on the back. Non-standard power cable (I'm guessing this is to make sure you are working with a cable that can handle the power this point will be pulling via.) thanks to newegg, the rma method only took a handful of minutes. I wouldn't let the DOA scare you. These points take place.

Name brand, A vast array of energy connectors, especially 4x6ưpin pcie and 4x6pin pcie, you will not be needing any of individuals adapters in any sli/crossfire config. The price for what you get is phenomanal, the psu has 38A on every single 12v rail, that is outstanding, this PSU has gotten nothing but outstanding critiques and performs great in benchmarks, i saw a video of this PSU powering 4gtx480s pulling 1700watts stable, its on U tube i think. nicely, theres no way about the complete Powercache point is a bit gimmicky these are just inline capacitors (i feel) simply because they didnt have space in the psu case for them, thats fine but they are a bit bulky and may well discourage some, i can inform you they appear worse than they are and they do not get as well significantly in the way, a small price to spend. Hey, for the price i defy you to come across a superior PSU, i was running dual psu's in a tri sli 480 and a devoted 260 for physx, i never ever liked running dual PSUs so i started lookin about for a very good single 1, this a single fits the bill.

Following acquiring negative experiences with a defective power provide I recently purchased for my GTX 480 SLI setup. I was quite pleased with the quality and the efficiency of this unit. As I'm positive any person who is thinking about this unit, is aware. The connectors with the capacitors make cable management rather a process. As often, Newegg's customer service is appreciated.

Operate fine for about five minutes. Destroyed 7 tough drives(Read other thoughts) This power provide destroyed 7 tough drives seprately. It was for certain the power provide, mainly because five of the tough drives where tested with other power supplies. Then they where plugged into this, making use of a power provide tester, three diverse motherboards and two other energy supplies afterwards. Now they are all defective.PLEASE IGNORE MY OTHER Overview, THAT Assessment WAS Completed Prior to I RECEIVED THE Energy Supply. I HAD ALOT OF Confidence IN ANTEC.

Worked excellent right out of the box. Incredibly powerfull. capable of operating dual graphics cards. They could have performed a better job on the modulation of this power supply. The connectors are extremely affordable so be carefull when attaching them to your componets i had a single of my sata connectors break. Very good seeking powerfull style but is missing the tiny points like sturdy connectors, much better modulation for customers.

lots of power , fairly stable.. i read Quite a few critiques, tests , and benchmarks of a lot of powersupplies before deciding on this one, and it absolutely does the job well, a lot of power for two gtx 260s in sli and a 9800gt , powers my raid array and quadcore phenom 2 with 4gb of ram with no concern or hiccup. The capacitors on the cables are a discomfort in the a nus... they make it hard to arrange he cables.. as nicely as fit them in my corsair 800D. Previously i have stuck only with Pc energy and cooling but I managed with only that 1 concern of the size of those "power cache" otherwise sweet PSU. Greatest mixture of performance/ cost ratio for stability total power output and general usability. the somewhat modular layout is a plus as effectively.. just enough cables to plug everything in.. but room to add a lot more if you add far more elements.

This POWER supply delivers all the power you'll need to have... possibly to substantially! No power switch on the unit :(I think this makes the unit prone to surges from the outlet causing all the unfavorable evaluations, but only when plugging it in or unplugging it.1st a single died in a ball of fire. It's achievable that the supply outlet couldn't feed the monster.Second a single arched the first time I turned it on.Each and every points seems to be alright though...Was expecting flawless outcomes, but I'm attempting to be objective. Due to the truth that this psu doesn't have a switch on it.I very suggest working with it in conjunction with a battery back-up or fancy surge protector so that you can use the switch on them to power this on and off. Do not unplug this factor or plug it in directly to a wall outlet. The testimonials that complain about the unit not being completely modular certainly don't have a will need for a psu like this. If you develop the technique this was designed to power... all power connection need to get applied up. Also I'd rather have the cables challenging wired, than outlets, to reduce drop in interruption in power to the computer. No fear of loose cables : )I have owned the 850 watt model for years now and it is a beast. I am hoping for comparable performance from this unit. When the lights would flicker in a storm... the computer never ever hiccuped even while not being on a surge protector. If I didn't buy this a single I would have bought the Antec High Current model!

Lots of power and connections. The fan on the PSU is ultra-quiet and I do nto notice it at all. I am working with it appropriate now to run two EVGA 480 SC in SLI along with the rest of the system and I do not have a difficulty at all with it. There need to have been a lot more modular wires. I also do not like how big the compacitors are on the end of the wires. I understand why they are there and what they do, but they get in the way of cable management.

Also, the 6ư Ƙpin) pin connection seams a little flimsy. The two 8 pin MB connectors really should be longer so you could manage the wires a tiny much better. High high quality style, quiet, had every energy cable currently attached to it that I necessary (no want for modular cables, however!). That's with TWO GPUs ƒ 8-pin, 2 6-pin), three SSDs, 2 HDDs, and a DVD-RW. Plus 3 case fans. Ok, ok, I did use cable splitters for the SSD energy, they don't draw that a lot energy anyways.**** Draws Less energy than my old 875 watt PSU with the very same components installed in a new case!**** Go-go gadget 80+ silver rating! Racing stripes don't make this PSU go any faster... If you appear around at the critiques for this PSU, the high quality of power delivered to your costly components is SUPERB. Definitely a smart investment if you put a lot of funds into your Computer. Oh, a excellent UPS is a good idea too.

Excellent power supply, if your not running two video cards, this would have an extra cord you dont need to hook up but is in the non-modular group.

each and every cable you need to ever require, all the clean power you really should ever want , future proof for various years. i like the multi-rail 12v superior than a single rail, its just plain safer imo, not to have a 100+ amp rail tapped for every single cable . external capacitor "cases" on the connectors are a bit tough to function with this power provide has incredibly stable, low noise "ripple" energy and plenty of it. powers a sli major bang x-energy rig no difficulty. side note/ even if you dont like the black plastic "cases" on the end of the cables, dont take away them they have a capacitor in every single that is extremely essential in keeping your ripple down.

All the power i could immagine, partial modular which is good for my interests, the non-modular parts fairly a lot do a simple method with 2x SLi, which i prefer non-modular PSU in general, then the modular part is really only for additional stuff above and beyond what most users tend to build... the protective (what i believe to be magnetic shielding caps?) caps that go around the wires just before each and every connection cause some horrificly complicated connections, specially when useing a chasis with back of case cable management, it makes it Quite difficult to bend the cables the way you wish and for cases similar to Corsair 800D - you BARELY reach the motherboard - im pulled pretty tight back there, not sure how poor that is for the technique - but it has relaxed a little to give some space after bein in the shape for awhileAlso on the GPU connections, it was Very challenging to physically bend the wires so that i could connect the added 2 pins with 6 for 8pin connections - once more trigger the protection cap is so close you have no room to manipilate the wires, so my plastic on the connection is pretty mangled but i finally got the wires to relax there too.. if your routing behind your Chassis, id suggest another PSU - Particularly with the Corsair 800D - extremely suggest something else for compatability

Sleeved cables. lots of connectors. Plenty of Extras. when I purchased this unit it was difficult since i couldn't find any detailed specs. but its rated at 38amps per 12.v rail so this PSU can handle practically every thing you throw at it. cables were stiff to work with but I envision they will loosen up with time. Produced cable management a little much more difficult and time consuming then I would of liked but properly worth it in my opinion this PSU is only partially modular. not everything can be removed so the core of the most needed cabels are hardwired in. added cords are modular.

It looks OK. It had been less than a week that I installed this excuse of a psu and it burned out yesterday in the course of a LinX run. The laptop shut off and an awful smell filled the whole apartment. I started an RMA with Newegg for a refund (I'm not putting one more one in my rig ever again). This is just extraordinary! Never I had a PSU failing like this just before! I just pray and hope that absolutely nothing else burned out with it. I'll see what happened when I put in the Enermax Galaxy 1250W I placed an order for.Be warned and stay away from Antec TPQ-1200. If you have 1, say a small prayer...
