great PSU
Comment:
I got this thinking that it will turn on my Sapphire HD3850 but it didnt. but anyway, check the requirements for any video card before you get any PSU. I'll recomend this PSU.

Apevia #1 with me.
Comment:
Any time I build a new system (wich I do a lot it's my living) I use or try my hardest to use Aspire or now Apevia power supplies. This one is great for the price and works well with no complaints what so ever. Plenty of plugs on the rails one for sata and one regular rail so you have plenty to work with. I will most certainly use this one more and more on my future builds.

Great Power Supply @ Great Price.
Comment:
Have had it in my system about a month, runs much smoother now, and cooler system temps with this power supply. Best power supply for the price, with a great fan in it.

Apevia Java 500-Watt Power Supply - SATA-Ready, 120mm Fan
Comment:
The first one died in about 2 days while i was playing bioshock :(. the second one has been working for about a 3 months now and i have had no problems with it. im running a PNY Verto 9600 Gt 512 Mb, an intel pentium D 820 @ 3.00 Ghz and 2 gigs of 667 Mhz DDR2 with of course a DVD rom drive and two sata 120 gb hardrives 7200 rpm. under a full load with everything blowing off heat the thermal fan controler max's out the fan and it gets very loud i wish it had a fan conroler other thant the thermal one. Also it is fairly light weight.but other than that it is a good power supply for the money.

Apevia Java 500-Watt Power Supply - SATA-Ready, 120mm Fan
Comment:
I bought this to upgrade my 300 watt so i can use a Geforce 9800 GT. My 300 watt could stay on for months with the Geforce 8500 GT so i figured it would be ok to leave on. It died after two days as i was playing a game.(Black and White 2) It worked wonderfully the days it was on. very quiet. It got VERY hot and popped the fuse i think. ordering a replacement fuse from apevia. Most likely my fault for bad cooling. Hopefully it was just the fuse. It ran the 9800 not getting too hot but i think it hit its limit when i was playing. Never checked temperature regularly.(first time upgrading PSU)
