Cheaper then Arctic Silver5 and isn't conductive :Dso far its working fairly nicely but I won't know how properly till the cure periods over 鵬+ hours) Temp seems to raise genuinely quick but I may want to reapply it differently (I just placed a dot in the center an let the HS do the spreading) but this paste may possibly also will need to be cured totally just before you truly see its effects. Will repost the moment its cured an hopefully it drops my temps much more then it is, as it is my CPUs currently at 38-39c idle an about 55-57 and even 60c load which I'm hoping become substantially lower once it cures trigger playing games like Mass Effect two or Crysis hit the CPU fairly tough and this is in an old Aspire X-pider situation which really has fairly decent air flow

A great paste. Non-conductive, very equivalent in color and consistency to Arctic Cooling MX-2. Also abit cheaper on typical than the older Arctic Silver 5.Cpu - E5200 @ three.66GHz, 1.36vHeatsink - Cooler master Hyper Z600RFan setup - 1 Yate Loon D12SM-12 "push", Coolermaster R4 as a case exhaust, but close enough to be a "pull" fan; the Z600 is massive!Temps-Cured Arctic Silver five: Ambient temp: 21.4 +/- .two degrees CelsiusIdle: 37cLoad right after ten minutes ORTHOS Smaller FFT: 55cFresh Arctic Silver Matrix:Ambient temp: 21 +/- .two degrees CelsiusIdle: 37cLoadᛝ-54c (kept flickering among the two values through load testing)Not too considerably distinction in temps as you can see, but hopefully temps will go down as the paste cures. Although seeing an improvement proper off the bat is fantastic in itself! -Cure time If you ever run out of your preferred TIM, give this stuff a try. Properly worth it. Cure time can be the deal-breaker though.

Functions fine on my cpu. Comes with enough thermal compound that is required. Well this may not be a con, but when I pulled out the thing some thermal paste came out of the container and then some a lot more came out which created a huge MESS! My complete hands were gray and needed some soap to take it off. I positive did waste a lot. I may be able to find a far better one for around บ.

Its got matrixes!!! I hear they're gonna release 1 with tensors next year. It has a 300+ hour curing time ahead of you can leave your system operating all the time. I generally shut off my personal computer when I'm not employing it so it was not a problem.

Just a re-post to my earlier review, This stuff functions good Once its Cured lolz, atm I'm idling at 82F-86F while posting this :D and through load (Crysis, Mass Impact two) I'm getting about 120F-130F which is on stock cooling so that's pretty darn superior for stock. This will hold me over till I get a new CPU+heatsink later which I hope is soon. :D none so far it does what it says it does an that's all I necessary. Running this on an AMD x2 64 5400+ @ two.8GHz (getting a new X6 soon) Coldest I have noticed this CPU with this new paste is 76F and the highest I've in fact observed was about 135F from video encoding and so on and so on but in most games its never ever peaked over 125-130F which is about 55C which is ok with me till I get a far better setup.

worked great for bout five months following about 5 months temps began to climb and badly at that so i took of the heat sink to see if it was holding up ok and alot flaked off when i picked up the heat sink it just fell off and now i don't have any other to put on it and i can barely use my pc due to the fact if i try to do anything on it the temp flys up and it overheats i now have to hurry and buy a lot more thermal compound mainly because this turn out to be junk

Properly I guess its some sort of paste The tube I got came out clumpy. Crucial to minimizing thermal resistance is keeping the distance among the chip and the heatsink as modest as doable, with no air voids. Cant see how this can be achieved with this compound. Easy white silicone grease would be much better than this.

It wasn't overly high-priced, and had a actually scientific sounding name. Applies nicely, appears to wick heat like crazy. Arctic Silver is 1st place winner, and eats 2nd and third...the rest just operating away screaming. Cure time? How many hours? Wow...some other reviewer said a quite big number. I'm certain the naming is just some advertising and marketing mumbo jumbo. Even arctic silver's crappiest item is head and shoulders above anything else. I've been utilizing their stuff forever! Just thought I'd try this new name...most likely just advertising and marketing...

Does what it says; dropped my temps from about 53-54 degrees idle to 39-40, (Also given that I dusted my whole case off which was the most time consuming component of the project).Uncomplicated to apply as nicely; Make certain you do not spread it about as most individuals recommend. It's been proven there are much less air bubbles and overall superior get in touch with if you just place a dot (smaller than pea size; the thought to make the thinnest layer you can) in the center on the CPU and install the heat-sink with out choosing it back up and replacing it. The dot will naturally spread out evenly and you will have absolutely nothing to worry about. Just be careful and it's E-Z mode. Absolutely nothing I could come across. Item just as advertised; Several identified their item to be opened on arrival but thankfully in my case it was seal tight. Overall, Wonderful Item. I surely strategy to buy a lot more from Arctic Silver, as properly as Newegg - Shipping was on schedule; No issues whatsoever. Cheers.

arctic silver for 6 dollars shipped makes it the cheapest name brand paste that isn't white goop. does not come with near as several applications as it says . i would estimate it at two to 4 at most, full coverage applied with clean acid free of charge paper as a sort of trowel which i highly recommend as it gives you such an even surface. used 1Ǚ the tube on one phenom II cpu, nevertheless this does not warrant an egg reduction . dont let the quantity replace the top quality as the deciding factor to get this, often go for less quantity greater excellent with items such as this.

Arctic Silver MTX-2.5G Matrix Thixotropic Premium Thermal Compound
Cons: None really

Pros: Great performance, as usual
Comment:
I always buy Arctic Silver thermal paste because they deliver good performance for a relatively cheap price and the AS Matrix lives up to my trust. At currently $6 a syringe, you can't go wrong with this product. Temperatures are significantly cooler using this paste even with a stock cooler, and I am using it almost by default on every performance build.

does what its meant for, nothing to say against this paste. You get what you paid for, its not expensive and it keeps your cpu cool. Alot better then the stock thermal compund found on certain heatsink. I would recommend it.

Arctic Silver MTX-2.5G Matrix Thixotropic Premium Thermal Compound
Cons: Viscosity (too thick for spread-applications)

Pros: Performance.
Comment:
I would categorize most "thermal pastes" as either grease or putty. This stuff is putty-type. Some of the best-performing pastes (this being one of them I'm sure) are putty pastes, but they only have one application that is ideal, and that is the dot or line in the center of a heatspreader, and then having the pressure from the heatsink spread it. If you try to spread a putty-type by hand, it just globs up - you need to pat it down in those cases like you would flatten silly putty. Grease-types are better all-round pastes to keep on hand, like the legendary Arctic Silver 5, or my current fav, Tuniq TX-3 (I have yet to try the Shin-Etsus). 4 stars simply for the limited usability, but otherwise excellent paste.

Arctic Silver MTX-2.5G Matrix Thixotropic Premium Thermal Compound
Cons: $10 for 2.5g of thermal compound (or "CPU lotion" as my buddy calls it) is pricey. On sale it's much more reasonable!

Pros: Works great like all Arctic Silver pastes.
Comment:
I've been using Arctic silver since the original, and if you use pretty much any of their product line, it just simply works, provided you apply it correctly - either a very thin layer to the processor and heatsink, or a tiny blob on the processor and let the pressure from the heatsink spread out the compound.A lot of arctic silver formulations are similar, but the nice thing about "insulating" compounds like A.S. Matrix, Ceramique and Alumina is that they are supposed to be nonconductive, meaning if you spill a little bit onto any electrical traces (ie. on your motherboard or video card), it won't cause a short and fry the thing. Which is nice!I always recommend going for aftermarket thermal compound over the stock thermal compounds.I've found the latest iterations (Arctic Silver 5 and Matrix) seem to last longer before drying up as well; I notice that on some old PC's I look at that I set up 5 years ago with Arctic Silver 2 on them, the paste has completely dried out. So far, the new stuff seems pretty consistent even after a year or two.Highly recommended!--------As for cleaning this stuff or even the most hard to remove thermal paste, I use the tried-and-true two (and a half) step process:1. Use Goo-Gone liquid on a towel/cloth of some kind to clean the bulk of the compound off. Goo-Gone works miracles to get old/dry compound off like it's nothing.2. Use 99% Isopropyl alcohol on a cloth to finish the job and get the surface clean3. Let it air dry or speed up the drying process by using compressed air.

Cons:None that I know of.

Pros:Great product, won't fry board if you get some on it as sometimes I can be pretty messy.
Comment:
Bought one of these and it was a little dry and would not spread out properly, that being said Artic Silver is a great product and I have been using for years now and it has always outperformed for me. This sort of thing happens from time to time and does not discourage me from purchasing another. Thanks NCIX for honoring my troubles with a refund.

I first had my reservations about trying this stuff out without reading any reviews, but after researching some of the ingredients I found that it was worth a shot.I recently bought a XFX non-reference HD 4870 and knew I would have issues with cooling. I bought this, and the Enzotech tall ramsinks and went to work.I had my card OCed from stock to 780MHz GPU and 994MHZ VRAM which was very stable with the stock cooling but the temps were quite high under full load. Around 75-85C for the three main temps.I am unsure if it's just the installation of the ramsinks that help get heat away from the board in general or if the compound itself is doing most of the work, but regardless, I've dropped nearly 12C from all the GPU temps.
