Asus M3N72-D nVidia nForce 750a SLI PCI-E Socket AM2+

Comment:
I bought this motherboard to replace my asus crosshair that I have had for three years now. It worked right out of the box. A couple of issues that I ran into were I did have to reload all my drivers (didn't see that one coming) and reactivate my windows Xp. The other thing that got me was the layout of this motherboard. Where you plug in you sata drives is down right stupid you would be better off plugging the cords for them in 1st before you install it in your case otherwise it a real pain in the butt to plug them in. Other than this I am very pleased with this board and is working just fine.

I have had this motherboard for about a year and it has been driving me crazy. It keeps on going to sleep and won't wake up unless I completely power off (turn off PS). I have had other problems also. I swapped everything with no fix. I found several others on the Internet with the same problem. The only resolution was to replace the MB. Asus return policies are horrible, they will get out of returns any way they can. Support is not much help, but they are only doing what they are told. This was the first Asus MB I have purchased for myself in a long time and now I know why.

This board is by far the most agrivating board I have ever had the misfortune to own but purchased it because I could not find the MSI board in stock anywhere. I had issues rite out of the box with the ram slots and on board video was doa am waiting for rma now. It is odd after thinking about it that over the last 15 years I have had to deal with 6 bad motherboards whether it be my pc or friends and family's and 4 of those where ASUS, 1 was ECS, and 1 was DFI. This was my last build ever useing anything with the ASUS name on it.

This is a good cheap motherboard. Motherboards are difficult things to benchmark, but it seems to do the job and I like the SLI functionality, as well as the ability to use the SLI specific RAM that I bought.

No problems at all. the only problem is that with windows 7 can't use the cd that came wioth the board. Windows 7 found allthe drivers I need anyhow.

Very nice board for the money, has performed well for me without issues 30 days or so, using 940 and 8gb mem with pair Sli. Seemed like the connections where in good places(atleast for me) It's done all that I've asked! Serious gaming and all, worked fine.

Couldn't have gone any smoother not one problem. for my first build i expect trouble but i was so wrong. don't be intimidated by the other reviews this is a great board at a great price. if a novice like me can do it with no prob. you surely can.

Nice mobo. Clean layout. Good groupings and placement for connections. Easy to install and get up to speed. Manual is fairly nicely done and was a valuable tool for the installation though the print quality made a number of the photo illustrations a bit hard to see and many of those photos are essential to the novice for installation. My personal preference would have been to have more space on the board for pci and pci-e slots. They are a bit too close together. But the board is excellent overall. Works great . Have ahd no issues at all since installation. Also once again great fast service.

This mother board has worked wonderfully. I did have some issues installing it though. If you use the IDE connections and are booting to a sata drive, you need to set the boot drive as the last drive and not the 1st or it keeps going to the IDE and can't find the operating system. Once set up correctly thought it has run GREAT. I am using the on board video ports with no problems and the on board sound has been wonderful. The on board LAN works super. GREAT Board.

Wonderful motherboard works fine with Windows 7. (the lan does work in windows 7 duh) The onboard Audio is a little bad but not to awful ;) And with the express gate I had to install that from the driver CD FYI. I also love that I can buy the newest AMD CPU with this (woot) And also to fix some of the games crashing with the onboard audio you have to disable the front panel jack protection. After I did that call of duty 4 ran fine lol PeAcE

I've always read good things about ASUS MBs but in this case when I got the board installed the onboard nic and audio didn't work. However the replacement board I got works flawlessly. I will definitely use ASUS MBs for future builds I do.

Tried to type review but kept getting a notice about no company names, links, or special characters. Had none of that. This board coast me one month of frustration and headaches and an extra 119 at local shop to figure out RAM slot 2 is bad.

Express Gate did not work. Clunky BIOS settings. Only HDMI output. (There are a DVI and analog adaptors). The LAN is flaky. No Windows 7 support. Audio card crashed games. I'll keep it as I am too lazy to take everything apart, but I bought audio and video cards and disabled the onboard ones. Lan card next in line.

unfortunately i had to return product even with asus tech support. after 24 hours more or less we were unable to get the sata drives to be recognized. Asus admitted that some boards had bad chips that were central to the sata s. i have upgraded but with fingers crossed.

Don't know if it was just my luck, but after trying 3 of these same boards(all failing at CPU checks) I have no faith in them at all. Going back to MSI boards. Sorry Asus, you FAIL!

I love this board. Easy to install. Running Vista. Bought as bare bones system. Runs fast and I love to open 10 windows and have them all running. Maxed out ram at 8GB. Absolutely would recommend. Sound is a little questionable but have not played a lot with settings yet.

Great motherboard. Only comment I have is make sure you have the correct memory for the board. It is fussy in this respect.
