ASUS M4A78T-E Motherboard First one I received had a bad integrated video. When I got the other one, finding a power supply that actually worked with it was painful. For some reason the 400W supply I used worked yet the 550 and 500 did not. Go figure! Other than that, good product, the integrated video is surprisingly good, got a 4.4 performance score in vista!

ASUS M4A78T-E MotherboardCrashed twice within 2 weeks, I think due to video output issue, While computer was off i moved a video cable, after that as soon as OS should be loading, I just got black screen on all video outputs. Formatting fixed it both times, so maybe it has driver issues. Works great, but now i don't touch my display cables without first adjusting the setting.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core CPUOk so bought this CPU for my new build. with 4 gigs ocz 1600 ddr2, this cpu, GTX 260 core superclocked. velociraptor hdd. and i must say. i had a X2 550 before and this things screams past it. not only in games but in every day computing! xp starts in 10 seconds. cant say enough about it. runs cool at 30c idle and 40 full load with ultra thermal gel. wonderful...

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core CPUAt 1650 X 1050 in 3 reviews this chip was within 1 fps of the 920. It outruns the Q series period. I have etsted it with both the gtx 285 and the 4890 2gb and both attained excellent results. The stock cooler is great. In fact my artic pro 64 was too small. I recommend the coolermaster v8 if you want a 3rd party cooler. I also recommend Black Edition ram for aod users like corsair or patriot. I use the MSI 790fx board, but the nvidia boards are out now and if you sli now you can do that as well. Great CPU for the money.

Has numerous features that are excellent for any OC'er. The board has 2 X16 PCI-e slots, ability to take DDR3 RAM and best of all can take AMD Phenom II 955 CPU. ASUS is a great company in the mobo community (best IMO) and they always live up to the rep. Definitely recommend for gaming rigs!!!

If you want to build a good DDR3 AMD gaming machine but have a limited budget, this one is right for you.

ASUS M4A78T-E MotherboardSo far this has been a great mobo....if u buy 1600 Mhz memory u have to OC other stuff(i bought some and its only running at 1033 Mhz..i turned it up in CMOS to 1600 Mhz and it said OC failed in post) but well worth the price....i read that some ppl had trouble with getting new CPUs to work but my BIOS revision was the newest available(woot no bios upgrade!) i recommend this mobo..but it!

I had problems with the video card at first, so hooked up the HDMI straight to the motherboard with great gaming and movie quality. Got video card working everything is perfect. This is the only place I buy any electronic products.

ASUS M4A78T-E MotherboardI purchased this item in a barebone kit. The Bios was old and didn't work with the amd 955 black edition. The merchant has been working with me to replace the new bios but make sure the motherboard doesn't have the bios 0804. You need at least 1001 version.

ASUS M4A78T-E Motherboardi bought this board. to replace my m2n-e. i had got an rma, for that board not getting another. the first m2n-e was awsome. but when it smoked the replacement worked a week then died. so i bought the m478t-e, to replace it. i love this board. i flashed it after install. what a fast machine. i am using this pc to test windows 7. it works great with 7. can't wait to install the finished product. buy this board it's worth every penny. i put in the 3.0 945 phenom x4. and 12800 ddr3 mem. my system rating lowest is 5.1 the processor shows 7.3, mem. 7.9, gaming graphics 5.3. impressed with board. thanks tiger good product. another good board from asus.

ASUS M4A78T-E MotherboardAsus does a nice job with board quality, features, documentation and support. I wanted to do a 3-drive raid 5 with this but could not get it working with Vista 64, Asus support claimed it was because the Raid would not support that R5 configuration while I also had a SATA DVD-R device. I switched to a Raid 1 with two drives and the third as a spare for backup, working fine.

ASUS M4A78T-E MotherboardI bought this board for 2 reasons, it's supposed to support hardware virtualization (AMD-V) and 16GB of RAM. So far it does neither. I bought 16GB of Kingston(4x4GB) 1066, DDR3, ECC. The board manual states that it supports the memory type but not the specific model. It's not on the QVL. In fact, there's no 16GB memory setup on the QLV. Don't bother getting the board if you need 16GB of RAM. The other problem is virtualization. The board and CPU are supposed to support it but the AMD tools state that virtualization is not enabled or supported. Maybe this will be fixed by a bios update (and the RAM as well). Hyper-V does install and VMs run but the performance is the same or a bit worse than my old opteron boards. This may be a great board for gamers but it's not a cheap path to 16GB of RAM.
