The LED backlighting give you really crisp image. The monitor supports Ergotron desk mounting. I have ordered 2 of these monitors and both had dead pixels. Newegg was nice adequate to carry out Advanced Replacements on both displays, sadly, both replacement displays had dead pixels. I program to carry out one far more round of Advanced Replacement, but if they can't get it appropriate this time around, I will most likely return both displays and order a thing else. Well, for one, it's a 24".But seriously, It's a really great monitor. One particular of my close friends had a monitor that had 'blurred' movement when playing games/movies/etc. from a console or desktop - there is none of that when making use of this monitor unless the game is programmed to do so. Outstanding colors, Preset are a tiny vivid but nothing a little adjusting can't manage. Quite flashy and high-priced searching. WoW looks excellent on this screen. When I purchased this monitor, I noticed a stuck pixel a few days later. No biggy, sent it back and got one more with good ease. Second one I get ended up with a stuck pixel as nicely (nearly in the very same spot...proper about the middle) I've decided to maintain this a single simply because the stuck pixel seldom shows as opposed to the last and I personally don't assume it's worth contemplating this a "damaged" monitor. Some would have given far more eggs off but I'm selecting to preserve this even although I have the alternative to replace once again. I already had the ASUS VW246H and have but to see a monitor match it's color good quality. I see this monitor and figure it'd be a excellent addition. - Nice display, looks great.- Controls are not as poor as other people pointed out.- Colors are great, they need to have to be tweaked initially, but what display doesn't from the factory? - Ghosting that others mentioned is actual. I have determined that it's not sufficient for me to return the display. Only noticeable with small black type over a grey background. Not that extreme in my case.- Internal speakers are lame. I am utilizing an AMD 4000 series chipset for the GPU. Some folks have mentioned the ghosting effects could be worse on Invidia, not confident though.

No dead/bright pixels, Fantastic color after calibration, energy efficient. Fantastic for gaming, and surfing. Not IPS Personally I enjoy the buttons on the bottom of the frame. It's good not to see a glowing power indicator on the front. It's not too negative for minor photo and video editing, but any main work I'd still do on an IPS monitor.

Properly there are quite a few pros, at least IMO.-Massive -Whites are really vibrant and seem to me to be white I cant seriously see it studying towards blue like some LED displays do-Thinner then I expected its nonetheless not as thins as the ones with an external power provide but still nice and thin.-Very nice and high quality bezel and stand. Super glossy (almost a con)-24. inches not a 23.6 or a thing that is not actually 24.-Light weight, it weighs like 8 or so pounds.-I believed it had uncomplicated to use menu controls.-My 360 looks wonderful on it =)- Draws extremely little power.-Cheap price for the good quality and no dead or stuck pixels and I've owned it for a little under a week.I could go on but don't really feel like it =P -Stock settings suck negative.-Bezel is practically too glossy see all your finger prints in it.-Stand is a small wobbly.-Even tho the whites appear genuinely bright and vibrant the blacks suffer they are more dark gray then anything even with the contrast intelligent control it doesn't actually support. I upgraded from a 6 year old 19" 400Ʌ contrast ratio Westinghouse.Didn't attempt the sound so couldn't tell you.The warranty sticker problem was resolved on mine, the shipping film goes around it as opposed to on it or even under it.I had a bit of a warranty mishap by inputting the wrong purchase date and had to email ASUS about it but hey fixed it for me within a couple days so I was quite pleased by that.

Once more the colors are still good for a TN panel and the screen size is fantastic. The bezel is fairly tiny and would be good in a eyefinity setup if there wasn't one key challenge I RMAed the initial VE248H for ghosting and its replacement which I just received has the same concern. I've come to the conclusion that all these monitors have the ghosting problem present and the people leaving positive evaluations do not fully grasp what ghosting is. If I were ASUS I would have put out a item recall and fixed this problem instead of denying it's existence. At 1st I thought I received a lemon but the replacement has the precise same problem. I feel I'll just preserve the monitor seeing as I can't return it and RMAing it will just waste much more dollars (it price me ฮ to ship the initial monitor) for an additional ghosting monitor. Outstanding color and adjustment options. Running via Windows 7 color calibration truly perked every thing up. No dead pixels. I notice the ghosting that these monitors are identified for. Do a search for this model and ghosting for far more information and YouTube videos. Using the monitor and graphics card settings, I was in a position to tune out most of the ghosting out but it is still noticable more than light colors. Bought this monitor to replace my other lcd monitor and I'm amazed at how sharp and bright the images and colors are. My movies and games by no means looked so very good. The 2ms responce time functions great for gaming. I like the truth that led backlight monitors are far more engery efficient and that this model has all three types of video connectors on the back panel. My only complainant is the menu buttons on bottom of monitor are akward to use. If your searching for a fantastic monitor at a fantastic price this is the 1!

2ms response time, incredible. COD Black Ops by no means looked so clear. I am operating with the HDMI inputs and I am pleasantly suprised. I can see factors in game now like folks thru windows of a automobile across the map, that I couldnt make out ahead of. I think the cost point vs size/specs of this monitor are perfectly matched if not skewed in favor of the specs. (which is very good) I have attempted gaming with 5ms monitors just before and they just cant maintain up in FPS play. I have no dead pixels and did not even try plugging in the speaker inputs as I use headphones anyways. The only con I have about this monitor is the factory color presets that have been posted about prior to. They are awful. I am running on 'Theatre' preset right now but I see that I am going to have to calibrate even that.COD Black Ops: Lost about 25 FPS due to going from 1680 x 1050 res to 1900 x 1080. Clearly that is a graphics card concern and not associated at all to the monitor. Just saying to be conscious of that if you are upgrading.The only cause I didnt give it 5 stars was simply because of the weak factory presets. Not a major problem as you can calibrate but still noted. HDMI connection...I bought an HDMI cable with this monitor and believed I was going to go crazy when I tried to plug it into my EVGA GT465. It wouldnt fit. Thought it was a case interference concern at first, then I realized that the HD input on the video card was smaller than normal HDMI plug. Following realizing that I required a distinct cable (would have to wait for a different order to ship) I remembered that I had an unopened baggie in my video card box. Positive enough, the video card came with the appropriate cable so I was in organization. The HDMI interface on the monitor is the common size.

Uncomplicated to setup. Factory settings off a small but simple to fix if your a film nut like me. Other then that none. This is my second 24" Asus 1 for playing 1 for watching movies.

This monitor has wonderful color and resolution. Some reviews said there had been issues about the factory setting, I had no problem with that.The is no noticeable ghostingNo dead pixels, which is major simply because those genuinely bother me.The speakers genuinely are not that poor for what you'd expect.Best in the bright rooms and dark rooms. The only con is that when I was playing about with some of the selections there was this 1 menu that would not go away even right after turning the monitor off. Ultimately it went away following pressing all the buttons a couple of occasions. Not truly a major deal at all though. You know its a very good monitor when that is my only complaint.

Bright, adjustable base, straightforward to use -- I haven't noticed any troubles reading text or playing video. Form factor not any slimmer than common LCD screen -- yet still far more pricey. Other than lower power consumption, I don't get the "big deal" about LED flat-panel monitors, typical LCD seem to be just as superior only more affordable. I guess LED are supposed to final longer?

Stunning giant screen compared to the 19" CRT it replaced. No dead pixels. Working with it with Ubuntu and no problems with it seeing the monitor and auto sizing it. I can not see the "ghosting" other people are complaining about. I have watched videos of the "problem" but there is absolutely nothing like that happening with my monitor. I tried the speakers just to see how they sound. If you are seeking for high top quality sound from tiny speakers in a monitor look else exactly where. I personally did not want built in speakers. But this monitor fit my spending budget and desires.

great picture, lots of picture choices, sceen is the best size for my taste wish the spreakers had just a touch additional bass, but nonetheless sounds excellent dont believe there is a superior deal for the dollars

I was not able to evaluate the monitor long adequate to tell. The tilt mechanism appears to be of higher excellent than my four year old 19'' Acer. It came DOA. I unpacked it, hooked it up, and all I can get with any of the inputs is a blinking pure white to pure black screen that cycles every couple of seconds for about 15 seconds and then it goes on standby. Box arrived undamaged from UPS. Referred to as Asus support and spoke to a real individual suitable away which was nice. Immediately after a couple fast tests, they confirmed the monitor was definitely faulty and I really should RMA it. Newegg sent out a pre-paid shipping label immediately and I dropped it in the mail. I'll leave one more review right after I get the replacement.

I loved moving up to this screen. I just built a new rig and I am proud to say this was my first LCD monitor. It has great build quality and other than the slightly-weak stand it will last a long time.Moving up from using my laptop (an Alienware M11x) all the time, the size difference is unbelievable.Great screen, and NCIX delivers great service as usual.

This unit is fantastic, except for a few minor flubs. The screen is visual heaven. It is a wonder of a display. And that's about it. Built in speakers do not function or are at low volume. In my day job, I trouble shoot this stuff all day lengthy. I think this unit just has a bad or weak audio board. The built in screen menu is quite non-intuitive and I cannot for the life of me get it to function. FAIL. The HDMI port doesn't push audio, see above. All in all, I am "ok" with this, I may possibly be returning it for another unit due to the audio issues. But I do have external speakers hooked up and truly don't care that considerably. For the price, and for the stunning visual display, effectively worth it.
