The board is quite great, with a lot of good capabilities When hooking up the CD-ROM, i noticed it did not have connections for IDE2, so now i have to go and purchase a new one. Overall, purchase this board, just watch out for the lack of IDE2 adaptors

Functions fantastic so far, certainly no troubles with it. four memory slots are nice, good BIOS, game enhance issue for integrated graphics (upped to 700 MHz and 512 MB shared), HDMI/DVI/VGA, all the goodies. started out up the very first attempt on my extremely initial develop! Absolutely nothing essentially incorrect with it by any means, not however anyway. doesn't have the most current capabilities i suppose, but that's not actually a con per se. perhaps a tiny high priced? but i got it for ฽ on a sale and it works, so heck, it's in all probability worth ๛ for that anyway. I did have some trouble with the CD drivers it came with, but I'm operating ubuntu 10.ten 64bit and assuming that's the challenge? tried it with "Wine" but no luck, even though i'm a noob with linux so i'm certain it's just me. (it's been just fine without them anyway). Haven't tried OCing or unlocking, but i'm fairly confident it would do just fine. Seriously fantastic board in my opinion, I'd advocate it for certain.AMD Athlon II X2 250Antec Earthwatts 430WKingston two x 1GB DDR3 1333 (򜠪MHz due to CPU)Samsung F3 500GB 7200RPM

Yes! I am the first to overview. I win! Seriously even though... Was seeking for an low-cost AM3 board w/ HDMI & DDR3. Took a opportunity because no prior reviews, but I assume I lucked out w/ a board that initially appears to be pretty good. Great seeking board that is really nicely labeled and straightforward to read when producing your connections. I connected almost everything by basically looking at the board and was a initial-time GO. On-board video (ATI) was impressive. I was not a fan of ATI for years, but it's been no difficulty. Wanting to save the WATTS and decrease heat, I left my video card out. That alone saved me more than 1 light bulb 18 hours a day. Running HDMI also saved me an additional cable (sound) going to my monitor. Drivers are fantastic on Win 7. Be certain to run them instantly immediately after OS install. USB's, HDMI, LAN all working. Accompanying MB book initially looked very detailed and effectively performed, but upon further overview was lacking when it came to explaining the settings in the BIOS section. I'm an skilled Google'r, so it's not that major of a deal. Most of the settings we already know. I'm strictly speaking of the a lot more complicated settings that aren't commonly changed by the typical user. Be certain to update the BIOS upon getting this board. Didn't recognize my AMD 4-core correctly. BIOS update was very simple and did the trick. Friend wanted me to obtain a name-brand board (ASUS) for ษ a lot more, but as you can see I didn't. Worked out fine for my application (non-gaming). So, barring any failures quickly following this assessment, I'd say this is a actually great board for my purposes and saved me some funds. Don't know a lot about overclocking since I don't require/use it, but for these of you interested - the BIOS has a whole section/screen devoted to it & the disk has extra drivers for it included. Further PWR saving computer software also comes on disk. Excellent board.

Upgraded WIN XP method (my wife's) from Athlon 64 鿫) to this MB and AMD Athlon II x2 245. Extremely good efficiency pop. (Used Win XP repair from Sp3 back to SP2 without having any driver alterations). Board has all the characteristics she desires,. Used the integrated graphics 4250 instead of the old Nvidia 7600 dedicated board. Graphic performance additional than adequate for browsing mail and so on... Had difficulties with HDMI driver from the Biostar CD, but I don't want so disabled the device. Not certain if conflict with Win XP sp2?Backplate for MB is sort of flimsy. Love the Micro form element. Utilised the old Antec Neopower 430 PS with no challenge. Hardware all came up on first boot.

Fantastic Bios. four memory slots. Excellent characteristics. I tried to use the BIO unlocking function by pushing F3 at startup, and my screen went blank for about a half hour, at which point I had to hold the energy button for ten seconds to turn it off, then clear the CMOS, then run Windows startup recovery. Not a large deal, but it was a discomfort, and there is totally no assistance for it in the user manual. The user manual, in one particular place says that it has bio-unlocking and that it lets you unlock hidden cores, but that's all it tells you.The user Manual also does not have the phone quantity for Biostar, which is also a pain, given that I would have had to get on the web to get it, but my personal computer was stuck with a black screen so I couldn't do that. I'm confident the BIO-unlocking performs, but I haven't tried it once more at this point. I emailed Biostar for aid and am waiting for a reply. In the past, questions I directed at Biostar were answered somewhat promptly ྸ-72 hours), so I just won't worry about unlocking cores appropriate now.

Installed it and it worked. Method's operating perfectly fineThe bios seemed pretty manageable and easy to use.Altering boot priority seems to be easy. None so far. There isn't an IDE port on the board, which is type of annoying, but it also encourages me to obtain a superior CD/DVD drive. And I can't negatize the board for it, because IDE wasn't in the specs.

Wonderful mother board from the price tag, though sadly I didn't order from right here and got it locally with a ฤ rebate! The lay out of the board is good and it fit great in an ATX Mid Tower I purchased off craigslist. I am using an AMD 440 3.0GHz with it.It has been a whilst given that I built a laptop or computer but being able to back up, download the newest bios and flash them from INSIDE windows is a excellent feature. I wish this had been implemented sooner with other boards. I wish they had included low mount motherboard brass step offs. The ones I had at residence had been the larger ones and it was tough to fit till I got the shorter ones. Cannot use USB keyboard to get into bios, small annoyance. When I tried unlocking my fourth core on my chip, the pc would shut down and would not let me post to bios. I had to unplug my power provide from the wall for a minute prior to the laptop or computer would even turn on and inform me about the acc failure.

Robust feature set for a micro-atx board. Effortless to set up. nicely laid out. Great price. None that I can consider of. I am using this board in an HTPC and it is excellent. The onboard video has been more than strong sufficient for what is necessary to produce HD signal. The onboard sound has been wonderful by way of the Television speakers, I will ultimately attempt a receiver and far better speakers as nicely. THe Bios was really easy to setup. My only disappointment is the Athlon 210e I am employing was not able to unlock any added cores. For a smaller type element board with a effectively defined function this is a fantastic acquire.

It operates. Supports Phenom II AM3, so that's often a plus. I purchased it was a inexpensive option to a full ATX motherboard for now to hold me over. Supports up to 16gb DDR3, which is great, as most complete ATX support the very same issue. It's micro-atx. It's good for a micro-atx, but nevertheless, just wanted to knock off a star so people see the evaluation and read it through. I also bought it more affordable than it is now, so that was a different purpose for my purchasing it. Only 2 pci slots and that's eh, but once again, micro-atx. It also only has usb three., and the bios options are ehhh. Not the greatest motherboard in the planet. But still. As a affordable alternative to an ATX, it's fairly very good and I'm pleased. Also makes a wonderful replacement motherboard for those of you searching to replace an m-atx in some laptop or computer (usually prebuilt has m-atx in it). So general, as lengthy as you know it's m-atx and know its limitations, it's fantastic.

Excellent price tag. PCIx16 slot it appropriate more than the MOBO battery, so if you have to pull that you have to undress the entire board. Otherwise, it is what it is: a micro ATX board at a very good price.Even so, the web page is junk. Poorly translated, with what appears to be a single single pool of FAQs for their whole product line. I've been able to tease out some of the particulars, but if you are a DIY guy there's small support here outside of submitting a trouble ticket... ... which I did just now simply because, 2.five months into owning this, there's a challenge with the CMOS. Preserve receiving a "hypertransport link had failed" "cmos settings incorrect" "cmos date/time not set" and "cmos checksum failed". Starting my Computer now is hit or miss. Sometimes it will post, often it won't.I've noticed Biostar reach out to men and women here in the critiques section. I'd truly appreciate it if an individual would make contact with me. I'm in client service myself and would appreciate somebody actually choosing up the telephone and talking to me, but that's not an selection on your website.

Everything operates. Has almost everything that you could possibly require. USB ports, onboard video, onboard audio, and a bunch of other stuff. It will unlock dual and triple core CPU's so that you possibly could turn it into a quad core. Does almost everything that is expected. Doesn't have a firewire port on the motherboard, also doesn't have the old mouse port. Even so it has the old keyboard port. Could possibly be HP's fault but the start off button didn't plug into the motherboard. I had to look at the circuits and which wires they plugged into to get the begin button to work. It's a cheap motherboard that works.P.S appear for some of the CPU and motherboard deals Newegg delivers, I saved 25$ :D

Paired it with an Athlon II X4 two.8 GHz Propus 630. The automatic overclock functions are good when you are feeling lazy and don't want to test overclock settings over and over. Quite small! But that's not genuinely a con given that it's a Micro ATX. Be cautious, it only has two PCI slots, but as soon as you place in a graphics card in the PCI Express slot, you seriously only have a single. There's adequate onboard capabilities that I don't genuinely want the expansion slots and there's always USB as well.

good board, inexpensive. Unlocked 4th core on my athlon II x3 450 with no problems. seems like it has great overclock functions but I haven't used them other than core unlocker which was 1 straightforward button. A couple BSOD, but im not really certain if it is the board, or even how to diagnose them. I ran prime 95 with the fourth core unlocked and ran for two hours fine. May possibly be other componenets

This board has an outstanding style, with every thing clearly labeled. The manual is partly in Engrish, but nonetheless straightforward to perform with. The automated overclock alternatives are nice, too. This board also comes with Memtest86+. which is great considering that my RAM was DOA. Only has three expansion slots instead of four, the latter appearing to be regular in this value range. The trade off is having ATI 4250 integrated graphics, Realtek audio (instead of Through), and the impressive overclock choices. I would surely advocate this board and brand to first-timers.

It works with out any issues. It recognized G.skill 4GB stick right out of the box. On board graphic is excellent enough for internet browsing or watching DVD and 2d games. Gets 4.2 windows vista knowledge. Fantastic overclocking selections in the bios. Can unlock hidden cores on the cpu(I did not get lucky). It is really simple just have to push F3Ɠ. Core) or F4Ɣ. Core) when the system boots up. Outstanding customer support. Named them 3x and each and every time took me less than 5 min to talk to someone. Plastic element of the motherboard could be better. Feels like it is going to break when applied some pressure. The automatic overclocking selection in the bios (v6, v8, v12) can only support v6 on my technique. When I try to overclock with v8 or v12 method does not boot into windows vista pro 64. Bottom line: Yes I would recommend it. Attempt to acquire with combo to save some cash simply because 85$ is a small a lot.

Great valueLike the LED post error systemPosted with no severe concernsRuns coolIntegrated video chip seems fine CMOS reset jumper was in the "reset" position out of the box.. Absolutely check that. When I powered it up, it had no settings. I identified it easiest to "accept defaults" then go back in and alter distinct stuff rather than to attempt and manually set it up the first go-round, as you literally have to set Every thing if you do it manually the 1st go round.Memory wasn't working for me the initially time I fired it up. Swapped it to the 3ƀ slots, everything was fine.. swapped it back to 1ž and worked fine. Most likely just seated poorly the first time, but worth mentioning. Some have mentioned the "diving board" problem. The lack of the back row of screw holes does make things a small additional delicate to plug in, as you have no support under the memory, energy, or SATA ports. If that makes you nervous, then that's one thing to feel about. Nice micro with plenty of memory possible and 6 sata ports. No key troubles obtaining it set up, and it runs stable. No complaints.

Amazing characteristics, Excellent compatibility, can't complain! Integrated graphics score 4.2 (aero) and five.5 (gaming) w/ 256MB Shared! Impressed for a "budget board". DDR3, AM3! For clear panel instances there are lots of on-board LEDs kind of neat seeking but not a selling point. Only gripe would be for you old school users... there is no PSǘ Input for Mouse, there is 1 for the keyboard though... I employed each USB and had no issues. Bought for a customer searching to create a spending budget sytem and they are pleased! Was 100% compatible with the Mushkin Enhanced DDR3 6GB I installed on it. Not my brand of option but good quality item to say the least!
