It's a cable -works precisely as it need to no problems. None I didn't definitely know if I would will need 12 inches or far more but it this worked fine for connecting my Challenging drive to the motherboard.

Nicely insulated, locks in location. None. I bought this an an upgrade to my stock motherboard connectors. I truly like the locking feature, it keeps items in place simply because move items about inside my PC, most likely a lot more than I must, and this mechanism assists a great deal.
