Bitfenix Prodigy mITX Mini-ITX Tower Case Midnight Black 1X5.25EXT 5X3.5INT No PS Top USB3.0 Audio
Cons:Awful build quality. Side I/O access door doesn't fit right and rattles, one of the plastic screw flanges for the base is broken off, upper plastic handles are sharp (cut my hand on one pulling it out of the box), a lot of the threads are cross threaded or didn't have the finish cleaned out.

Pros:Case offers a lot of options as to the hardware you can install, handles were a good idea. Side panels are very sturdy in construction.
Comment:
The case by itself weighs half of what my fully loaded m-atx case weighs (which is both a pro and a con and good to keep in mind when considering this case as portable). Heard good things about this case from all the reviews and thought I would try it out, after hands on, I wouldn't buy it again based on this one. This is my 3rd Bitfenix case and by far the most disappointing. It will also be the last unless something substantial changes with general build quality based on what else is available at the same price point.

Bitfenix Prodigy mITX Mini-ITX Tower Case Midnight Black 1X5.25EXT 5X3.5INT No PS Top USB3.0 Audio
Cons:None at the moment.

Pros:This is a great case if you decide to go mini ITX. I got an Asus P8Z77A-I Deluxe with an Intel i7 3770K for overclocking and this case has the room to add many radiator configurations for water cooling. The people at NCIX were very helpful and polite. I was lucky by finding one left in stock last week and it arrived at my home in less than a week. I was hesitant about doing a pre order from a company in another country I am in the USA), but I can say now that there is no reason to feel that way and encourage anyone who wants this case to do it because these cases are going fast from every store on the planet.

I could go on and on about how much I like this case and deciding to go mini ITX. I do professional video, audio and animation production and this little package is perfect for me.

Worth the wait. When some people rate products based on a couple of flaws. That may have been caused by human error , they are doing the product a deservice and to other people. We are not rating guns or aiirplanes where you cannot afford to have errors or lives are at stake....this is the best case I ve ever come across. I can have my cake and eat it too. Very very versatile. I spoke to a couple of people at Bitfenix ....Great customer service .

Bitfenix Prodigy mITX Mini-ITX Tower Case Midnight Black 1X5.25EXT 5X3.5INT No PS Top USB3.0 Audio
Cons:Might need more fans for more powerful builds.

Pros:Lots of room, easy to reconfigure, aesthetically very pleasing.
Comment:
I pre-ordered this case after having read good reviews, liking the specs, and after owning another Bitfenix case (which I really liked). The case is both larger and heavier than I imagined but after building a new PC, I really like it. There is plenty of room and the case has the ability to be reconfigured. I used a shorter PSU (140mm depth) which was helpful. Also, I added another fan and if I was building a more heavy-duty PC I would add others (the case has lots of possibilities for fans). Overall, I really like the case and will buy another for a future NAS build.

Bitfenix Prodigy mITX Mini-ITX Tower Case Midnight Black 1X5.25EXT 5X3.5INT No PS Top USB3.0 Audio
Cons:Very tight place for the bigger ATX PSUBigger and heavier than most mini-itx caseDoesn't look steady (Push it on the side and it seems unsteady!)Can only fit x2 top 120mm fans if you remove the optical drive cage (same for the front panel)

Pros:Beautiful caseCan accommodate tall heatsink, (Rear fan might get in the way with larger heatsink e.g. GeminII S524)Enough space for cable management
Comment:
I've ordered 2 of this case.. and my experience for both is different! When I opened the first one, I immediately noticed some fingerprints(?) or some sort of stains underneath and on the sides of the case. I was a little bit upset since I was expecting a perfectly brand new product, but anyway. Also, there were, what I believe, some parts of the dust filter popped out on the front panel near the upper edge.. Not a big problem either, I've just cut them off.Another problem, which I have a hard time believing I've caused it, is that one of the 4 snapping thingy for the front panel is broken.. well, it seems torn and flimsy. Now the thing is, I've removed and put back the front panel twice, but then I've noticed it when I was going to pop it open for the third time. So yeah, I'm usually careful with those stuff, so I still can't believe I had broken that. Also, one of the thumbscrew hole of the side panel is.. damaged(?) Basically, the surface isn't flat (like a little bump). The thumbscrew can't be tighten straight into the hole, more like diagonally. A minor annoyance. As for the second case, it was a better experience. Just a single almost non-visible stain on the bottom. This time, I made sure the snap thingies on the front panel weren't .. well, broken! No problem anywhere else!Edit: For the front panel, you can put a second 120mm fan only if you remove the optical drive cage. The problem is, if you remove it, you won't be able to snap in place the middle HDD cage. Although it'll still be stable enough if you don't shake the case around. Also, the included fans are definitely silent in my opinion, but obviously less airflow (I also tried placing one of the included fan on the top (horizontally), but it started making a rapid ticking noise every time. Although I've only tried it with one fan, so I don't know)Edit: Be aware that I'm trying to give out as much information as possible of my experience with this case. It is up to you to do the proper research before purchasing anything. I could basically just give 5 stars, saying it's the best case without any critiques, but that wouldn't help. (Yes, that was meant to one of the other reviewer)(N.B. You can only put one 120mm fan up top, unless you remove the optical drive cage, which will then allow you to put two 120mm fans instead) This review was modfied by poster @ 07-12-12 03:16 PM
