Thermal paste pre-appliedAM2/AM3 compatibleClip-on for simple attachmentCPU idles on underclocking around 28C, and 34-39C at complete speed. 65 watt limit is not truly a con unless you regret self-imposed limits later. I'm not positive how lengthy CPU fans last, but program to use it future CPU upgrades (athlon II x4 605e/ phenom II x4 910e) It may well be too early to evaluation this, but I'm pleasantly pleased with this CPU fan/heatsink. I paired this up with an OEM Sempron X2 2300 from right here and got temps ranging from 28 C to 39 C, while averaging about 34. I also purchased it since it had pre-applied thermal paste, felt that 25dB would be quiet enough (it is), and simply because it was AM2 and AM2+/AM3 compatible, meaning I can take it out when upgrading is time, add some paste, and pair it up with a Phenom II or Athlon II quad core with a 65 watt or 45 watt TDP. Working with Linux, Jupiter is hassle-free for showing me my temps in Debian distros like Mint, Ubuntu, and so on. 65 watt limit might be a con, but will maintain me waiting for one thing like the Athlon II X4 615e ࿡w) or a Phenom II X4 910e when costs go down. This was my very first make so things turned out nicely.

Comment:
Really great cooling as lengthy as the ambient temp in the room is low. Earlier the year, in the summer when I purchased it, it could not preserve up with the temp in my room. I didn't have an AC at the time and my room was about 90 degrees F. I'm not good at C and F conversion, but my AMD Black Edition Quad Core was obtaining up above 80 degrees C. Now that the temp has cooled down ambient, it has no troubles, and I by no means get above 50C on my CPU, even when playing Fallout: New Vegas on Ultra High settings. Commonly stays at 40C below load.
