I needed a couple of case fans that were slimmer than normal fans to fit in the front of an older Acer case, which despritly needed some added air flow to get high temps inside down to reasonable levels. Definatly worth the mod! I also put one on the side panel, which directs air at the video card. very hapy with this fan, would buy again if needed.

Bought it to replace the 8cm*1.5cm fan on Thermaltake Slim X3. I always think Thermaltake fans are terrible, but I am wrong this time.This fan was not quite, the air flow noise isn't bad, but it produces a metallic hamming noise, not very loud, but annoy enough.The biggest problem is the frame, it is way too thin and soft. When there is a tinny force applied to the frame (like contacting something), the blades would make contact with the frame and produce a loud clicking noise. I was unable to identify the actual contact point, but it keeps coming back no matter what adjustment I make.I have to say, the fan comes with Thermaltake Slim X3 is way better than this fan.

I have this on my CM690 II. Mounted on the back panel to cool the cpu backplate. Brought my CPU temps down by another 2C.
