CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:Cables...lots of cables...Runs a bit hotA bit pricey3 year warranty

Pros:QuietLong cables400W enough for any work PC
Comment:
A decent low-end PSU from Corsair. Construction seems sturdy with lots of cables available. In fact, there are so many that a user requiring 400W would never need them all. I needed to stuff huge bunches of them in corners of my case. Other cons are that it seems to run a bit hotter than my other PSU's, but I guess that a tradeoff of having a very quiet fan. Also, its a bit pricey when not on sale, and only come with 3 year warranty.

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:3 yr warranty vs. 5yr and 7yr

Pros:Price, quiet, sleeved cables
Comment:
Seasonic build with some lower end components - but not planning on stressing it's capacity; only it's durability. Using it to replace an OCZ ModStream that's been running 7/24 for the last 5 months.

Cons:- Sleeved cables are a bit stiff

Pros:- Quiet- Corsair quality (Seasonic, if I recall)- Long, sleeved cables- Good efficiency
Comment:
Good low-end PSU. Paired with an Antec Solo, it makes a great silent-running combination. My only gripe with this is that the sleeved cables, although nice to look at, are quite stiff, especially the larger bundles (24 pin connector, namely)Other than that, this unit is excellent for the price.

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:Relatively low amps on the 3.3 and 5 volt rails (only 20 amps each)Rebates process from Corsair is annoying and slow

Pros:Well made construction and design, and 30 amps on the 12v railCables are sleeved and have generous lengthQuiet, suitable for a home theater pc
Comment:
The price is great when on sale. However, the rebate process from Corsair is slow. Overall, the power supply is of very good quality, and delivers adequate power to an office computer or home theater PC. The power supply is actually built by Seasonic to Corsair's specifications. The 3 year warranty is good, but not as generous as the 5 year warranty that Corsair offers on their higher-end power supplies.

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:Power cords rebate

Pros:CheapNice Packaging
Comment:
Bought this to replace a PSU that was starting to die on an older machine. Could have bought a larger (wattage wise) PSU, but this was on sale plus rebate. Unfortunately it was on back order and when I finally got a chance to send out the rebate form I noticed I was past the 21 day period. Take note! Corsair rebates are eligible from 21 days from purchase. Make sure you can send out the rebate as soon as you get it. Other wise a great 'little' power supply. Packaging was nice and tidy, came with some small zip ties and a nice little case badge. Long leads and lots of them.Though for a few more bucks you can find a couple PSUs that will have lots more head room.

Cons:none so far.

Pros:high efficiency, cool running and lots of cables for expansion
Comment:
I bought thin psu for a friend to replace her generic hot running psu. This is a lot quieter and cooler running. It’s also heavier than I had expected, and it’s rated at 80+ efficiency which is nice as more power is available for future upgrades. One more thing it that has a single 12v rail, which I find desirable.

Bought this supply during sale for less than $60 with MIR, very quiet fan and very heavy unit. This unit is good for entry level computer and I believe this is a very reliable unit . the casing is well built and sturdy like a weigh of a 500 Watt unit.

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:None

Pros:Price, appearance, noise level.
Comment:
A great basic PSU. I bought one for a WHS box built for someone else and was so pleased with the performance/price that I bought a second for my HTPC to replace the noisy OCZ GameXstream 700W that was temporarily in there. I am a big fan of minimalism so the basic flat-black box with no LEDs in the fan fits the bill perfectly. The fan is respectably quiet and the performance is good. I have not done any benchmarking but it works great for non gamer hardware.

Comment:
Very satisifed with this product, high quality construction & flawless operation up to date. This is a great unit for smaller machines, I'm using it to power my file server (pretty much just an Athlon X2 + a fleet of hard drives) and the fan never even spins up--very quiet. The cables are well sleeved, also plenty of length to work with & more than enough connectors. Obviously won't feed a quadcore SLI/CrossFire setup, but can't be beat for the price. Highly recommended as with all other Corsair products I've owned. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-25-09 10:01 AM

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:Nothing at all!!!!!!!

Pros:PFC!!!!! Perfect balance of features and wattages on the different rails, especially 12V which is a single rail at 30 amps!! 12V rail gives like 360 watts, which is enough if you're running only one VGA card. Black mesh keeps the wires together, and the plugs are very (and I mean VERY well thought out in terms of organization. This is a quality product, don't hesitate to buy this if you're running just one video card! 80 plus power efficiency at any load. 20+4 atx connector, and 4+4 cpu power connector (which the specs doesn't seem to mention).
Comment:
Super quality, like Corsair always promises. The box is pretty small, about the size of a bread toaster or so. The power supply itself is even smaller, kind of miniature, even! But these wires are looong, and all of them are looong. Even the ATX is looooooong. I could stretch out my arms and the wires would span from one side to the other. Read my strengths fore all the pros. I'm using this for all future builds, and if not, it's either PSU's from pc power and cooling, or corsair. I have corsair memory, corsair PSU, and corsair voyager flash drive 8gigs :D

Overall, I stress to anyone building a system to plan ahead your system before getting a PSU. 400W may seem small for the hardcore gamer but for people building regular builds 400W may just be enough and for the right price

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:Not modular

Pros:Amazing finish, lengthy cables, many SATA and Molex connections, great quality.
Comment:
If you want to build a budget computer but don't want to worry about a budget power supply nukin' your parts, I suggest you look into Corsair's line of PSU's.First and foremost is the presentation of the whole product. Even the box itself exudes quality. The power supply itself is extremely solid and sturdy. The power supply is a beautiful matte black and the Corsair logo is stamped into the aluminium of the body. The sleeved cables are something you don't see on many cheaper quality power supplies. There are a lot of connections of drives, so if you're going to be running a cheap server with a bunch of HDD's in RAID, this should be a PSU to consider. The only downside is that it's not modular. However, it does include a bunch of twist ties so you can get some cable management going.Overall it's a great PSU and something I'd strongly consider for a server, cheap gaming machine or Linux machine.

Cons:4 pin CPU power connecter was a little short

Pros:Qualty Quite operation LooksPerformance
Comment:
I found the 4 pin CPU power connecter was a little short, it made it to its connection but barley. But that’s only if you use a Case that has the PSU sitting at the bottom, if the PSU was at the top then everything would work out great. But other than that this is a great PSU, I have a Q6600, ATI 4830 and a 1 -1tb WD HDD being powered by this PSU, and it handles it like its nothing. It has plenty of cables to run almost what ever you want. I would recommend this PSU for anyone looking for a cheap but great PSU for their budget build.

Nothing fancy about this, but I like that it's mostly black colored and didn't want something with much more power. I'm only using this with 8600GTS and Q9550. It's got more cables than I really need for my build.
