Fantastic Price! Really Very good Capacity! Just as superior as the Bigger Corsair Flash Drives.Did I say, Great Cost?! The 8 Gig and the 16 Gig Drive appear specifically alike.(Minor detail) I have observed this precise similar Flash Drive for saleat double the value out in town. Kudos New Egg.I got this Flash Drive and the Corsair 16 Gig from New Egg. New Egg is the location to shop.

I'm giving it five eggs eventhough the form element is a little bulky, this just functions well. I have 4 usb ports on the front of my coolermaster fulltower case, so the shape and size isn't finding in the way for me, but I can see what everybody is talking about. Under 14 bones, 8gigs with the name corsair on it isn't to poor. none nowadays. I watch football and then afterwards surf newegg for deals like this.

its an ok flash drive i guess, gets the job completed(if it doesnt break) I have had to rma this piece of trash for the 2nd time in under a year! the initially time it decided to get itself write protected and this time (after a lengthy RMA method from corsair) this drive fried! im seeing if i can rma it Again but who knows. Oh yeah also if you want to plug something in next to this factor its a discomfort trigger of that "protective coating" which is a thin piece of rubber with a poor seal about the usb connection (u can Effortlessly pull the thing out). PS: the cap on this factor is really uncomplicated to shed for your own benefit remain away from this its not worth it!

Large storage size, excellent price Most motherboards have the USB ports double stacked in a row. This USB stick is so thick it prohibits use of one more port above/below it.Also the rubber shell is a pocket lint magnet. only 7.45GB usable when formated NTFSDHL shipping is slooooow

Durable, powerful rubber protection around the device. Pretty sweet, and straightforward to really feel confident it won't get Possibly the worst factor( in my opinion) is either losing the tip that goes on it, just by me being careless and forgetting where I set it down, or the rubber ring that goes to the keychain breaks, but usually simply because i sat on it at a weird angle numerous occasions more than a couple of months and it rips. One more thing is, if there are two USB ports on your laptop or computer, right next to each other? The width of the rubber may possibly make it challenging to plug some thing else in, and it seems like the rubber bends the two USB plugs away from every single other..and it typically takes a small bit of a force. But if you can come across two various regions of USB ports on your computer system, you have no worries. I've had this very same model flashdrive since 2004, just in the 128MB, 512MB versions(Way back when, clearly), and have just upgraded just about every couple of years whenever the rubber keychain band broke off. Incredibly dependable, and the finest issues I've had.

I've had this drive for more than two years and it is nonetheless operating properly. Most of my usage is for copying smaller files from my laptop pc to other computers when I don't have network access. The rubber cover comes off very easily. I've had it drop off just before. To maintain from losing the rubber cover, I tied fishing line about the small rubber piece that sticks out on the finish of the cover. I tied the other finish of the fishing line against the main physique and wrapped electrical tape about it. Even if the rubber cover comes off, it remains attached to the major physique by the fishing line.

It is a very good portable USB flash drive. The cover cannot take too much pressure. It would be good if it comes with a neck belt.

-Looks good.-Decent speed.-Able to withstand impacts from dropping or being squeezed in between other stuff.-Decent price (relatively) for the space. -Absolutely nothing comes with it. No lanyard, no software program, no usb extension.-It's not a speed demon, but its not a turtle either.-No support in the loop that you use to hang a lanyard. It would have been better if they put a tough rubber ring or one thing inside of the soft rubber loop. If your on a budget and your looking for one thing with decent space, decent quality, decent speed, and a good appear then this is a very good selection. Plus, it is really impact resistant. There are only 3 other USBs I would look at getting around this price range, but it's against newegg rules to compare with competing brands in reviews so I can't name them. Just sort by "Best Rating" under USB and you should be able to choose them out but you have to get to like page 3 to have observed all of them (items with one five star rating appear above items that may well have 700 ratings at four stars. I'd trust the 700 over the 1).

Appears stable with decent read/write speeds. Does what I will need from a flash drive. Soon after getting burned by the quite a few fake flash/pen drives from on-line auctions it was nice to get from a business I have come to know as rather reliable and still get a reasonable cost. Worked fine on house W7 machine but nephew said the school pc could not read it because it did not have the suitable drivers (XP maybe?). Even with the rubber casing it feels surprisingly warm when plugged in for a whilst. I got one for myself and encouraged my brother to get one for my nephew. At the time I ordered it included a rebate; if that arrives then I will be really pleased.

8gb is a pro. It seems like a durable USB stick. Stick was quicker following I formatted it to NTFS. Lost cap, way too fat, didn't even last 2 years! Quite slow! I genuinely hope Corsair reads this! I am not impressed. I lost alot of information since of the failure(my fault for not backing it up...)

Quite Fast. Comparable to my Patriot Xporter Ɣgb). The rubber appears additional sturdy than the Xporter and the light is really visible. The cap is simple to shed. Doesn't print the capacity on the outside, although that isn't definitely a major deal to me. Nice rubber surround. You could probably stand on it without performing any harm. Can't complain about the discounted Newegg price either! THIS Thing IS SLOW. By far the slowest of any portable media I have - even stuff that is five years old now. Not tried it on a USB3 port but but USB1.1 and two transfer rates send you to sleep! No lanyard so be prepared to shed it somewhere. For the 20 cents for a lanyard, you would believe Corsair could bundle 1 like other producers. No where to put rubber cap when its plugged in so you KNOW that will get lost incredibly quickly! Other brands have designed the capacity to stick the thing on the back to save losing it. Overall not a wonderful style and really slow memory chips.

Overall the item itself is not bad. Nothing spectacular either, so just get the finest bang for the buck that you can at time. Beware of the fine print with any Corsair rebates. If you purchase far more than 1 they have in fine print that you are only eligible for one rebate per house hold. If you are close to the date for reimbursement then they could reject it as nicely. If the rebate gets rejected the value is no longer there. Plus they do take four+ months to send you a credit card for any rebate instead of a plain check. Like the product but no longer working with Corsair due to their rebate policy.

A lot of memory for my media applications; rubber casing protects effectively; haven't performed actual tests for transfer speed, but it appears OK to me. Cap is not connected, uncomplicated to shed; rubber casing is bulky if you have USB ports in confined spaces (i.e. does not fit well in the side port on aluminum Mac keyboards); lanyard loop appears flimsy, but I put it directly on my keyring and it hasn't broken however. I've heard excellent factors about the reliability of Corsair memory, so hopefully that remains true. It'll do, pig.

Was quickly while it worked. Quite durable key-chain case.Rebate came speedily. Got fried when plugged into old laptop. A discomfort to use Sandisk drive worked fine afterwards in that very old laptop. Learned my lesson. From now on will only use 'ejectable' flash drives on 'old' machines. I don't anticipate a dilemma RMAing with Corsair.
