Comment:
Worked fine, no memory test failures ࿀GB worth) I can\'t manually adjust timings on my motherboard, the maximum it would do (based on the SPD information) was 9ǟǟቴ at 1333.This is nonetheless greater than the DDR3 1333 GSKILL I had, which wouldn't run at these timings at 1.5V. I would rate five stars if the SPD information didn't indicate the slower timings at 1333. |

Comment:
Run and stable at posted speed. (CPU-Z/GPU-Z) will show 800, this is half and is right. Matches current blue/silver motherboards. Incredibly good heat sinks, that hold ram cool in a great case with decent airflow. None |

Cons:Rather large
Pros:Color matchCosair reputation Comment:
Had no issues with the install or use of the ram, plugged it in MB recognized them properly. Only possible issue people might have is they are very large you have to make sure they will fit under your CPU cooler if you have an after market. |

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:Heatspreaders may be too tall for some motherboard/heatsink combos.
Pros:Relatively inexpensive, seem broadly compatible. Comment:
Yes, I know, this product really needs another review. I got these for a decent price through PM and opted to go with the large heatspreader versions this time, rather than the low profile versions I had used before. I don't know that the taller heatspreaders make that much difference, but I figured it wouldn't hurt. Well, stand by for more on that. There are many versions of the Corsair Vengeance modules, some are CL10, some CL9 and others CL8, with other timing differences as well. That is in addition to single module, dual channel, quad channel, etc. kits at different capacities and speeds. So, check the specs when shopping to ensure you get the right ones for your application, as they all look the same. These modules are PC3-12800/DDR3-1600, CL9 2x4GB dual channel modules. Of course the 1600 Mhz will not be enabled by default in an Intel system, but will default to 1333 Mhz. You'll need to do a little tweaking to get them up to XMP speed (pretty standard stuff for DDR3 modules these days). These modules are tall! I replaced a pair of GSkill Ripjaws with these and was expecting something of a similar size, but these are significantly taller at 2.07 in./52.5.mm. A word to the wise: check your heatsink clearance. I squeeked by since I was only using two modules and didn't need the slot closest to the CPU socket. With the cooler I was using there is no way I could have used these if I had wanted to populate all the slots. If in doubt, I would recommend considering the low profile versions, as the specs are the same. Vengeance® Low Profile Blue — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9B)Anyway, the modules perform as advertised and expected and I can't complain. Would I purchase again? Probably not these - I would probably go with the low profile modules as they allow more heatsink flexibility |
