I am really impressed with this memory, my only issue is that I bought two more of the same memory so that I could retain the duel channel configuration, my bios accepted the memory with no problem but window xp would freeze after it booted up, I investigated why this occured and that corsair says that if you don't buy the modules in pairs, such as the 4 pair ninety percent of the time the memory will fail in some cases depending on which mother board your using I just wished that corsair would let their customers know this.

I am a system builder and I always strive to give my clients the best hardware possible for the best price I can get. This fits both bills to a tee! Very impressed and it is one of the few vendors that is fully compatible with Asus boards with no problems.

I recently bought this set of corsair memory for my new TigerDirect Barebones computer. I installed this pair of ram into an Asus P5Q motherboard, in which I am using an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, & they work great.

In my opinion, Corsair is absolutely the best when it comes to memory modules. Installed two sets of these (four total) in my self-assembled Intel Core 2 Duo computer with Abit AB9 Quad GT motherboard and all four memory modules tested well. Modules run at specs (according to CPU-Z) without any problems whatsoever. These new modules replaced an older set of slower (667MHz) Corsair memory modules (computer accepts 667 or 800MHz), which also worked well. Haven't OC'ed these new modules yet, but fully expect they will handle it just fine.

First and foremost,, to the guys that says ghe has to OC to make this ram run at specs. TRY RUNNING IT ON A REAL MoBO! Like ASUS- I have this RAM in my pc and it runs amazinly at specs and i have never had a prob. which is why I am buying another 2Gb set!

I think I know why this memory is great for overclocking... because it underclocks itself when the OS is loaded. I tried this RAM in a XFX MB and a MSI MB. Same settings for both the motherboards: FSB fixed at 200Mhz, BIOS shows 400Mhz(DDR800)@1.8v on auto settings, and standard timings. *On the XFX board, Memtest shows 440Mhz-DDR880; once in Windows CPUz shows 366Mhz-DDR732. *On he MSI board, Memtest shows 433Mhz-DDR866; CPUz shows 371Mhz-DDR742. *In order to get the memory to run at 800Mhz I have to boost the FSB to 218 and 216 respectively. DON'T GET ME WRONG! It's very stable RAM, and great for overclocking. BUT it doesn't run at spec with a 200mhz FSB, and I fully trust CPUz is reporting correctly. Anybody else notice this? I'd recommend checking it out. Possibly, I have flakey sticks?

No problems here. I have 4 sticks im my MA790GP-DS4H with a AMD X2 6000 I just added my second seagate 320gb hard drive powered with a Antec truepower 550. Nothing is overclocked. Everything works great and fast,running Vista 32 Bit O.S. TigarDirects rebates, fast shipping and warrenty takes a lot of stress out of building a system.

Like another person mentioned, its a lottery shoot with these. I ordered 2 (4 Sticks) and 2 were DOA. Sent them back with no problem from Tiger. So it might be worth it, if you are not in a hurry for the memory.

steal! OC's like a champ, I added a dominator fan and finnally not worried about 1:1 ratio while ocing. got em at 500mhz(1000mhz ddr2 pumped) 1.85v and tighter timming 444-12. solid in memtest Definitely recommend!!!!!

Even without a rebate this memory is still worth the money. Installed and worked first time around. The heatsink design is top-notch for people worried about overheating their RAM. Combine this with a Corsair Dominator Fan and you will not be disappointed.

I purchased the 4 x 1024 box set for a total of 4096about a year or more ago. I have recently had a module fail. i do not know if this module was bad from the beginning or if it was going out because since I have taken the bad module out my system is extremely fast. I would say it is faster then when I put these in the first time. Which leads me to believe it was barely working when I received them. I have called tech support but they want me to send them all back to Corsair to test and then possibly replace them. I think it makes more sense due to the down time to just by a replacement matched pair. I have never had a module go out before but things happen. I would highly suggest after purchasing a set of modules to utilize a program such as memtest86 ver 2.0 to test the modules before setting up a system. This will tell you right away if you have bad modules. Run the program on each module individually. Other then that great product.

This memory is awesome. I upgraded my OEM cheapo emachine computer w/these modules and the difference it made was night and day. I know some of you might be thinking that I am nuts for putting such great memory in a undeserving computer but let me tell you I am glad I did. The factory memory was some cheapo 512mb PC-5400 memory (x2) for a total of 1gb of some brand called Elixer. Im running Vista Premium & Obuntu OS and everyone knows Vista is a resource hog. Just at start up with only spyboy S&D, firewall & defender running my machine was using 80%+ of the available memory so I needed more and wanted something good and saw this deal here 4 months ago and purchased it without hesitation. Upgrading to this memory alone showed a gain in Vista's experience index of memory operations of 2.6 points and both desktop graphics graphics gain & gaming graphics gain of .3 and thats just memory. I wanted a fair comparison so I tested it at 667mhz.

i just built my computer and installed 2 x 2 gig of this ram. it work perfect i had no problems. great deal on some great ram. love the look and installed teh dominator memory fan. i am very happy with this memeory.

Good stuff at a great price, particularly if you catch it with a rebate. Mine was shipped quickly, as always with Tiger, in late January. Rebate arrived last week, (middle of May).
