I ordered a Sata DVD drive and was told by the Representative who said that the cables were included. I never the less ordered the cables "just in case"...I am absolutely correct. No cables included. Sounded like an outsourced kitchen type representative, household noise in the background. Had I not ordered the cables with the unit, Guess what!... Well, you know! Hack, Cough!

Seperately these 2 items are $17. I didn't think I needed the power adapter, but I did. My cheap power supply provided 2 Sata power connectors, on the same cable, with only a short connection between the two connectors. Therefore, the power adapter allowed me to put my DVD at the top of the case and the hard drive lower down. Without the power adapter, I would have been forced to mount the DVD in the bottom 5'' bay, not the top.
