Centon 2GB MP3 Player w/Voice Recorder

Very often, after I select music, I cant't choose FM as it switch itself to the last selected tune! Even turn Off then On don't always resume to normal operation... Very bad manual and ''operating system''. You're sometimes apparently ''stuck'' in a feature, without documentation as what to do in that case. So frustated with it I have decided to throw it away and buy something else.

although this is a very good mp3 player,I cannot recommend it to anyone anyone. why would a company put out a great product, with out the bells and whistles? no user manual,regis card,software? i purchased 4 for my kids. the player itself is quite elegant, but still hard to figure out even for the average geek. imagine the elderley, children and non geekish folk who have purchase it or recieve as a gift. no way. Centron has the user guide online but thats not where they belong! unaqcceptable!(oh,the instructions online are for a completly different player ALTOGETHER it's not even the same software/menus. For 3 weeks I have called and left messages to the support team... my emails wont go through because of a internet error on their website. Manager posted a promising message in a review for another mp3 player. Dont believe it,musta been a used carsalesman. I havent got any reply. Dont buy this product, put your money into a mp3 player with the ''Complete Package''

Do not buy this or any product from Centon Electronics Inc. the product support is low if at all, and do not bother sending anything under WARR they will use any reason to refuse as it was not covered under normal use BE VERY CARFULL about this company products if you are looking for cheap throw away stuff then this is the company to buy from, the power on button breaks after only a few weeks of usage

Very Basic MP3 player. Navigation is tough, I just random sync my music to it. Works great like that.

garbage, returned it. Navigation is horrendeous and the LCD panel changes backlight color everytime a selection is made and the characters look wierd. Plus the the finish almost feels ''powderly'', wonder what the lead content in the paint is ? Made in China. Not giving this unit to my kids.

This is the fourth MP3 player I have owned, and it is so far one of the best (of a bad lot). You will have to experiment a bit as there is no user's manual to speak of, and navigation is less than intuitive. BUT it does load quickly, and with little fuss (drag and drop whole folders for easiest use). The feature set is a little better than what I was used to, though, since the icons are unexplained and ambiguous, you will have to experiment. I have not had the performance issues other reviewers have had; it sounds great to me. For the price it out performs others I have paid four times the money for. A GREAT VALUE.

Had this thing for less than a month and it just decided to randomly and constantly turn itslef off for no reason at all. It happens so much that the frustration makes it not even worth turning on and waiting for it to load as it will just shut right back off without warning. for the money though its the ol' you get what you pay for scenario

Just bought this for my GF for V-DAY. She was soo excited about it! Very highly recommended! You can barely get a 2GB Flash Drive for this price!

Good price, but bad quality. Don't expect much from this player and you won't be let down. I am using it primarily for a direct connection to my bedroom stereo. The player gives off a bit of noise. The navigational button is sometimes oversensitive then other times insensitive. The screen is pretty hard to see and menus are pretty anti-intuitive. One the good side the battery has lasted quite a while. No serious problems with it. A memory stick costs about the same so if you don't expect much you won't be let down.

This is my first purchase of an MP3 player. It was advertised as having an FM tuner, which I wanted, and it does not have it. I have chosen to keep it. So far it has performed in a satisfactory manner. I have had it about a month.

Stay away from Centon product. Specially their mp3 player. It was shutting off randomly while I am listening musics. I explained problem to the tech and they exchanged it, however, the new one had the same problem. I finally discarded it. WASTE OF MONEY.

Out of box,uploaded 3 hours of talk radio (minus music,etc) have heard every hour of weekday broadcast since Dec. 13. More bass than my smaller unit, am hearing limited so the sound is more easily understood. Use a NimH battery, recharge each 2 or 3 days. Instruction written by a book learned English who does not have any USA language experience so he/she mangles the language. He just needs someone to translate into our usage so he can impart knowledge instead of confusion. No complaints, I am using and it works 2 1/2 days for delivery 0400 to midafter noon on 3rd day. This product is terrible. Only a couple months after purchasing it, it would not turn on, even with new batteries! Contacted Centon support and they gave me a fimrware flash. That made it work for a little longer, then it died for good. The display also stopped working. I used this at the gym, but I was far from hard on it! I always handle electronics gently and was disappointed with this junk. Recently bought a 2GB Sandisk Sansa Clip, and I love it!
