I bought an older Gateway PC on eBay and needed RAM. One of the sticks was bad, but the other one worked just fine. Got the other back on an RMA. This stuff works on older PCs just fine.

Either my dell 2100 cannot take 512 RAM chips or this product sucks. It didn't work and the PC did not even recognized both much less one single 512 chip when I replaced or added this memory chip to the factory 256 chip.

A friend of mind at work gave me his old Dell pc Ilike to get the most out of any pc that I have so I bought this Centon memory to speed up this pentim 4 pc from 512MB to 1g pc works great runs and boots up faster

I couldn't find too many cost-effective options to upgrade the memory in this older PC. I was leery of the brand, but it works, installation was no problem, and the price was right.

Used this memory to upgrade an old desktop that was running very slow (due to anti-virus running in the background). Memory upgrade really helped the performance. Installation was as simple as pulling the original memory (256 MB)and filling both slots with 512 MB (1 GB total). The computer booted up fine and has been running well since. Wish I had done this sooner.

bought one stick of memory to see if it would work in this old Compaq computer before replacing the other two sticks. Worked great on power up so I order two more sticks of 512 to give this old dog some added horsepower.

Thought I was getting a deal and low and behold the stick did not function. This must be one of those warehouse overstocked items that has been sitting for years. The price on these here are around 80 bucks so I should have known that something was wrong with this. Do not buy this item, save your coin and buy a more expensive name brand stick of memory and one that is guaranteed to work. Did not see any guarantee on this item.

Had trouble locating this config of RAM for 5 plus year old Dell Dimension machines. Others say pricey, but it saved me replacing 2 machines on this year's budget. Only worry was getting clamshell open without damaging stick.
