Cisco PAP2T-NA Internet Phone Adapter with 2 VoIP Ports
Cons:No Stand, Green LEDs (and not blue!)

Pros:Affordable, functional, works well
Comment:
Purchased this to connect to an asterisk server. This is the unlocked model of the PAP2; works absolutely great! A much better investment than the vonage locked routers, because it can be factory reset safely.

Cisco PAP2T-NA Internet Phone Adapter with 2 VoIP Ports
Cons:Doesn't support T38 for fax, but who cares...

Pros:Excellent 2-line VoIP adapter.
Comment:
IMHO - must have in every home. VoIP saves tons of money, allows enormous flexibility, let you play with cool features - all for almost free. This box works. The only alternative I'd be thinking about is SPA-3102, which is more sophisticated unit.

Cisco PAP2T-NA Internet Phone Adapter with 2 VoIP Ports
Cons:None

Pros:Not locked to a provider.Solidly built.
Comment:
Nice little unit from Linksys. It's the same as you get when purchasing from vonage, but you don't need to go to all the trouble of trying to unlock it. Easily takes firmware updates directly from Linksys without worrying about locking the unit again.

Cisco PAP2T-NA Internet Phone Adapter with 2 VoIP Ports
Cons:Only one line can use G.729 at a time; the other must use G.711. But G.711 is better quality anyway.

Pros:Highly configurableSmall footprintInexpensiveEcho cancellation is effectiveNo need for special router configuration
Comment:
A company that we deal with has been using VoIP for ages and loves it, so I decided it wouldn't do for us not to have the same shiny toys. The thought of saving $150 a month made things even better.I bought a PAP2T adapter to test out the provider that was recommended to me and was pleasantly surprised. I had a horrific experience with a different provider a few years ago, and honestly, I expected quality loss at the very least. My first call was to a co-worker a few offices away from mine, and we agreed that the call quality was no different than if we had called each other over the intercom.I'm going to evaluate the PAP2T for a few more days, and if I still like it as much as I do now, I'll buy a few more and convert the entire office. I can even connect them to our old Meridian PBX, port our numbers, and the staff won't know the difference. Here are some of my favourite things to do with this adapter:-Call forward specific numbers to specific locations. I'm going to make a list of telemarketers' numbers and forward them all to our fax line.-Device-to-device calls. I can use this unit without even having a VoIP provider, both on my LAN and through the internet. (I foresee future geeks asking girls out like "Call me sometime! My number is 205.234.198.189:5060!") You could even use this as a "Poor-man's PBX" in a small office, or an IP-based intercom over any distance.-Special rings for specific callers.I changed the dial plan from the default one to this one, which allows for 10-digit and 11-digit dialing. The unit shipped allowing for 7 and 11-digit dialing.( *xx | [3469]11 | 0 | 00 | [2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0 | 1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0 | xxxxxxxxxxxx. )My adapter was shipped without a North American ring for some reason, so I set the ring cadence to 60(2/4) and the Ring Waveform to Sinusoid which made the ring sound like a "normal" ring to me.I tried sending a fax with this unit today, and it performed beautifully.Lastly, I selected the G.711 codec because I had bandwidth to spare and was very pleased with its quality.Overall, a great little adapter. The only possible dealbreaker I've found so far is that it can't sustain more than one G.729 conversation at one time. But, since I use the better quality G.711, that won't be a problem for me. I'm looking forward to setting up the rest of the system, which will be six phone lines feeding a ten-user PBX. Stay tuned. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-11-07 12:25 PM

Cisco PAP2T-NA Internet Phone Adapter with 2 VoIP Ports
Cons:Not as good as spa-2102

Pros:Cheap price, good quaility
Comment:
I really like this voip adapter. I think it is great product for the price. It has all the basic features that you need. Where the other models just have more features that really not allot of people will use anyhow. This the same as the spa-2102 except for the t.28 fax, which 98% of voip companies don't have any how. Also the spa-3102 has some great features which this one doesn't but it is only for one line. If the spa-3102 had two lines I would buy it.
