Cons:None.

Pros:Cools well.Good for overclockers or ppl just looking to lower CPU temps.

This is a very good Heat Sink Fan.It cools well and was good for overclocking. It runs quiet, even at full speed and is very well priced.Seems to cool better and mount easier than the Arctic Cooling Freezer.

Pros:LightQuietSolid

Wow, for the price you CANNOT beat this, it is really really easy to install, you don't really even need the manual. Just look at the reviews and they show you better pictures of how to install it.Don't use the thermal paste that comes with it, I did; and then I tried some Artic Cooling MX-2 Thermal paste and it dropped a few degrees during loads/games. Make sure you use a card or something to spread out the paste evenly on the processor, it seems to have the best affect.Cooler Master makes some excellent products, I highly recommend this for the price.

Pros:Great at cooling down CPUCheap price for its performance
Comment:
Used it on my i5-750 and overclocked at 3.2ghz with turboboostUsed second fan on the coolerRuns at 50 degrees max with the stock thermal paste which is likely just crapSo if you use something like MX-2 it is highly likely that it'll bring down 5-10 degrees

Easy to mount, fan comes on-off nicely, keeping i5 750 at 3.2 very very cool. System has 2 4830's in it and temps are super cool. Definitely worth it over stock cooler.

Cons:Quite tall

Pros:AffordableGood performanceQuiet
Comment:
Does the job well for a sensible amout of money. It is quite tall and barely fits in a regular ATX case (coolermaster RC-330). The heasink face machining seemed to be a bit crude with some gaps between the copper and aluminum portions but it does not seem to hinder performance.

Pros:Price, huge, silent.
Comment:
Got this for my i7 860 and couldnt be happier with it, it keeps my cpu cool and stable at high overclocks. I had some issues installing this on an Azza Solano 1000 case, its to tall for it, i had to take out the side case fan. So far so good. A good buy.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366 LGA775 LGA1156 120MM
Cons:- The thermal paste it comes with is not very good but that's expected- Since it's an HDT cooler, applying the TIM is trickier than with traditional heat sinks. It may require several mountings to do seat it properly (check out HWC for how to properly apply TIM to HDT coolers)

Pros:- Cools very well compared to other higher priced air coolers- Excellent Price/Performance Ratio- Fan it comes with is decent
Comment:
For the money, a better heat sink can not be bought. It performs very well and competes with heatsinks in substantially higher price brackets. Highly recommended!

Cons:Size could be an issue, covers 1 DIMM slot on my current motherboard.

Pros:Great Price, Great Performance, Looks Sweet!
Comment:
Fairly simple install (however I couldn't find the backplate for 20mins, it ended up being in the bottom of the box :S ). Great Performance, the Phenom II 955 I'm using never exceeds 40 degrees under full load with 2 fans. It looks sweet, like a slightly smaller, much cheaper TRUE-120.

Cons:Not much for the price..

Pros:Price, cooling
Comment:
This is an amazing cooler for the price to performance ratio, if you check out the reviews it actually performs almost as well as $50 coolers. This combined with Ic7 thermal paste, dropped my temps approx 15 degrees. Very happy with it. Got it for 24$ after PM : ) . Make sure you get a high quality fan so you can do dual fan cooling for additional temp drop.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366 LGA775 LGA1156 120MM
Cons:A little hard to install

Pros:Budget but excellent CPU cooler!
Comment:
I am very amazed by this cooler! Cooler Master actually did some modification to this product! At first, I thought it would be a pain in the butt to install the fan. But I was very glad that the fan was no longer installed using the metal clip. It is now much easier to take off the fan or install the second one. The retention plate was ok but the cross that holds the cooler took me some time to figure it out. Also the thermal paste cannot be spread evenly onto the directtouch heatpipe. Some of it was stuck in the space between the heatpipe and the block. It dramatically decreased my Q9550 oc n 3.4Ghz from 50 idle 78 full load using Prime 95 (stock fan) to 35 idle 50 full load (CM 212 Plus). BTW, I used the Artic Cooling MX3 thermal compound instead of the one that came with the cooler. Overall, the installation could be a little bit tricky but the performance was very satisfying. If you are on a budget, this is the bang for your buck!

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366 LGA775 LGA1156 120MM
Cons:None

Pros:Top notch cooling, lighter than others of similar design/size, cheap
Comment:
This review is for the G1 version which uses a plastic fan attachment which makes mounting the fan as easy as pushing the fan towards the heatsink so the plastic mounts "clip on" to the grooves on the side of the heat sink. Apparently the motherboard mounting mechanism is also improved on this version compared to the older version.I have this unit mounted on an Intel i7 860. Using HWMonitor, I get the following readings: idle 25-29 C, load 47 - 49 C tops... this is at stock settings with Turbo on. Aside from its effectiveness in cooling the CPU, what I like about this cooler is the relative ease of install, the PWM powered fan, and the relatively lighter weight of the unit especially when compared to similar designs from Zalman or Thermalright. To those who have tall heat spreaders on their RAMs, the new fan mount mechanism enables the easy "sliding" up of the fan to clear these spreaders... no need to mess with wires clips anymore.Yes it is still possible to "twist" the assembly even when the mounting screws are fully tightened but this also happens with the Thermalright Ultima 90 cooler on my other PC.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366 LGA775 LGA1156 120MM
Cons:Installation directions could have been clearerComplete mobo removal in order to install backplate, but that's more a fact of life with backplates than a weaknessHeight

Pros:Inexpensive ($20 in a sale)Very good cooling, 5C cooler than my Scythe NinjaComes with backplate
Comment:
Considering how huge my Scythe Ninja is, I thought it would be tough to beat, but the Hyper 212 beats it at stock and OC, idle and 100% CPU by at least 5C. I even used the stock thermal grease, even though I have some AS-2 in my fridge. I keep the fan revvs at about 900RPM and the included 120mm fan is indeed relatively quiet. At 2000rpm you can definitely hear it, but it's not particularly annoying.Good price, very good product.

Pros:-Small-cools nicely-comes with thermal paste
Comment:
I absolutely love this thing. It dropped my i5 temps by 10 degrees (idle) with the stock thermal paste it comes with. It was easy to install and I turned it so that the hot air blows out the top of my HAF 922. Later on, I overclocked my cpu to 3.1 GHz and it still idles at 30 degrees.

Cons:Quite tallFan is a bit loud at top speedManual is an abomination

Pros:Very good coolingExcellent priceIncludes fan, thermal paste, backplate, hardware for attaching second fan
Comment:
This cooler has produced an immediate 20°C drop  in the temperature of my E6300 compared to the Intel cooler. I'm not sure how much if any of that is due to the "Seven Carat Diamond" paste that I am using though. Previously I was seeing temperatures of 84°C, which does seem a tad toasty.Mounting the cooler does require removal of the motherboard in order to install the backplate, but that is no surprise. There is no point blaming the 212+ for that; it is just part of installing any heavy cooler. This was my first installation of an aftermarket cooler and I got it done with no real problems, though it took a few hours. In my -- ahem -- case, the tops of the heatpipes came into contact with the side panel. I can't quite get the case closed. The solution will be to cut slots into the panel when I get around to it.The provision is there for attaching a second fan to the heatsink, opposite to the first one. All parts needed to do so are provided except the fan itself. To ease installation of the heatsink, I temporarily removed the fan. Reattaching the fan was a piece of cake. I'm not sure why others seem to have had difficulty. The fan does cause a bit of a whine at top speed though. It's not horrible, but it is there.Reading the provided instruction sheet is near-impossible. It is a huge folded sheet printed in eleventy-billion languages, reduced in size to the point where you would need a microscope to properly see the images. What I did was download the .pdf manual from Cooler Master and load it up on a laptop (zoomed to 400%). It can be found here.I guess I'll give the 212+ five stars. There may be (slightly) better coolers out there, but at half the price the 212+ beats all air coolers in P:P ratio.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366 LGA775 LGA1156 120MM
Cons:Thermal paste too thick. Large gap between cooling pipes and aluminum spacers. Contact to 1156 & 1366 cpu's too small.

Pros:Good fan and excellent clips for attachment to cpu cooler
Comment:
This is a heatpipe direct touch cpu cooler. It works reasonably well on amd and intel lga 775 cpu's.It's okay when used to replace the intel 1156 & 1366 and used for running at stock speeds. Although it provides mounting hardware, it is not designed for use with these cpu's .... it only covers 2/3rds of the integrated heat spreader .... meaning you lose at least 1/3rd of of the cooling ability. It has an excellent fan and a fantastic mounting clip for the fan and a spare clip to mount a second fan which you should consider using for improved cooling.Where the heatpipes contact the cpu heatspreader, leaves a lot to be desired. The pipes are simply cut to the level of the aluminum separaters leaving large gaps on the round pipe between the pipes and aluminum that must be filled with thermal paste which in these quantities, acts as an insulator.Thermal paste is provided with the heatsink. It resembles Arctic Silver 5 except that it is even thicker. Find and use a different thermal paste, it's so thick, it actually insulates the cooler from the cpu heat spreader. For $30.00 it's a good replacement for stock intel coolers This review was modfied by poster @ 12-04-09 07:22 PM

Pros:-Excellent cooling performance-Very good price-Comes with 120mm fan
Comment:
I installed this cooler on my AMD 620, overclocked it to 3.25GHz and had no issues with heat. The cooling is great and the fan was a great bonus. For this price it's hard to complain. My only issues with this cooler are that it's very big and hard to install. You have to take out the motherboard which was somewhat annoying and time consuming, and putting it back into the system is hard avoiding damage to the cooler. The fan can run a bit loud at quiet times and is noticeable. Good overall.

Cons:Fan clips are a bit stiff, mehFan is noticeable at full 2000rpm (when cores are heavily stressed)

Pros:Very good at cooling (the real purpose of the thing after all), relatively quiet, very good price. 2 sets of fan clips. EZ solid install.
Comment:
212+ from NCIX on my i5. Very good cooler and even better because of the low price. Runs IntelBurnTest at 70c max at 3.8ghz with the stock fan. btw, IntelBurnTest runs the core's hotter than any stress test I've have found (>5c over wPrime etc.)Installation is a breeze. Solid with backplate. The installation doc is poor though. If you stop for a second and look at the mounting parts, you will see how it goes.As the fan clips are a bit stiff, mounting the fan before HS install makes it easier.I did a quick 3.8ghz OC and I'm going to try 2 Noctua fans this weekend for more overclocking.
