Q6600 @ three.41 @ 1.four volts and temps haven't gone beyond 55 degrees... and I"m nonetheless pushin' it! I had a Zalman CNPS9700 with an Aztec case ahead of..and I couldn't appear to get it past 3. GHz with no it getting to 70 degrees. It genuinely does what it is suppose to do.... TEC performs Good! Big. The pictures on newegg are quite deceiving. Fantastic thing I also purchased the HAF 922, which homes the V10 NICELY. Challenging to mount if the mobo is mounted to case currently. Thats about it....

A fantastic air cooler devoid of the Peltier device (TEC). Got my 17 920 (C0) to four. Ghz with no issue keeping temps under max load (Prime95 Blend x eight!) in the incredibly low 70s (Tj max). TEC controller went poor as did Each fans inside 6 weeks of use. Right after pulling the mobo tray and setting it up on a bench for testing I noticed the the TEC was also hot to leave my hand on for more than a second or two at space temperature. It really should not even be working at these temperatures so some thing is seriously amiss. Throw in a each fans siezing and I'm really reluctant to suggest this HSF.Costly It's impossible to get Reapers (OCZ) or Dominators (Corsair) below this cooler. It is all but impossible to add/remove RAM DIMMS when this HSF is installed. I purchased this the V10 based on it's reviews and although it's a great cooler when operating it basically failed way too early in it's life. The TEC in my mind is far more gimmick than anything and once more in an atmosphere where it really should not be active it was also hot to hold. TECs have a 'cold' side and a 'hot' side so the heat is was generating may possibly have been typical when it was activated at extreme CPU temps but it was active at area temperature essentially heating up the CPU!Though an fascinating idea it was pulled from the build due to failure and replaced with a Noctua.Note: The 1 I bought from NewEgg was meant to replace the one that failed but after cautious consideration I opted to not use it. It's for sale...low cost.I suppose you could use it as a passive cooler without having the TEC controller plugged in but why would you?

Keeps things my CPU and RAM cooler - YAY! Had to replace both fans in it, they seized up. Men and women complaing about it ruining their cpu or motherboard or that stock cooling is better. Clearly you dont know what you are carrying out. Also, thatone guy who mentioned it doesnt fit inside and ATX case - possibly you must have looked up some information just before you bought it. I have a complete size atx case and when i put the side back on, it comes inside a few millimeters of touching, but it doesnt touch and it fits.Do your investigation before you buy anything this huge and commence playing around with your mobo/cpu

This cooler functions ridiculously effectively... I have a core i7 two.66 oc'd to 4.2ghz without having breaking a sweat. This runs my cpu at 32c idle and 42c at 100% usage employing arctic silver 5 compound. I am running my ddr3 1600 ram at 2200 thanks to this cooler. Some may possibly say size, but i disagree. This unit not only keeps your cpu cool for extreme overclocks, but it also keeps your ram cool too. Also, depending on the placement of your dimm slots on your mobo, ram clearance may possibly be an issue if you have a tall ram heat sink. I recommend the g.ability perfect storm series ram... it has a heat sink with about 1ǚ" clearance from this cooler's overhang. You definitely will need a full-size atx tower to residence this cooler. I am at present working with an x-clio case with two 250mm fans on the side. This setup functions quite effectively in keeping my rig cool with plentiful space for the cooler. I'm running an eVGA x58 classified board with 12gb g.ability perfect storm 1600 ddr3 ram, 1kw antec psu, and a single eVGA gtx 295. This is the fastest machine I have ever used. It runs all of my games at max settings with no lag - reliably!

This does not fit in your tiny to medium towers, I knew this going in so not actually a con but to men and women just hunting to upgrade their cooler i guess this could be a con. Seriously impressed so far, will reccomend it to other men and women.

I have tested a Ultrachill and Gemini II on my qx6850. This processor creates a lot of heat and wants a great cooler to bring temps down. This cooler was basic to install, minus removing the motherboard. It clears my heatsink memory with plenty of space. Cosmetically it really assists make the antec 1200 shine.Without having overclock I was acquiring idle temps of 20c, room temp. With overclock idle is about 28. Load at 3.8ghz 1.45v is 62c. The only way to do far better than this is with a excellent water cooling program. For this value range, I would like a significantly bigger tec with some actual software program. Motherboard usb plug with some computer software and temperature sensor so that I can set up the power consumption etc... This has about a 70w tec, it works but could be a lot far better.

Not any real pros for this item considering that u can get a v8 for virtually half the price and will keep your temps about the precise identical. Didn't drop my cpu temps a lot more than 2 degrees from my v8 only pros are it cools your memory so u don't have to install fans for this. Priced also high for identical productivity as v8 cooler master cooler It will appear awsome in your case fairly effortless to install, minus if your motherboard plugin is directly beside your memory than prepare to rip ur hair out and install memory on board ahead of installing cooler or you will be in difficulty there too.

Quiet and really efficient job at cooling. Cools CPU and RAM which is wonderful. Greater than water cooling imo. When installed there's no maintenance. Some difficulty finding the issue on the motherboard but as soon as it's on its unlikely you'll have to move it mainly because it does an outstanding job at cooling. With the amount of space this issue takes its in all probability recommended that you have a full size case.

SUPERIOR cooling!!! Cost, weight, dimensions,(but it couldn't have been any smaller and nonetheless done its job. I keep my condo warmer in the summer months than most people today would like, so I wanted a cooler that would do a heroic job of protecting my CPU. The V10 does just that. I have however to seal the case, so my curiosity got the greater of me the other day and I reached in to grasp a heat pipe. It was COOL! The only factor I'd have done differently in developing my new rig would have been to break out the Dremel and slice an access port in the back-panel of my CM Stacker 810. This would have permitted me to mount the MB to the case, put on all the other components, and then mount the V10 last. If ever I have reason to take the laptop apart, I may well just do that. I recommend this unit for everyone who overclocks, or who could simply want to make positive their laptop or computer stays cool. Later, CKB

So far this seems to be a really fantastic item. Simple install and Friggen Monsterous! Also The exhaust from the CPU is Directly in front of My 140mm rear exhaust fan Venting it directly out ( excellent bonus). The intake above the ram actually sucks the air by means of the best of my hotspot on My video card, has also dropped the common temp of GPU about five degrees. Seems theres still room above the ram for the average ram cooler fan mods :) Wasn't Cheaper, They put a do not eliminate sticker Voids warranty on the end of the four pin CPU fan plug that I can see in My case. Wierdest location for a sticker on a wire ...LOL Even in My HAF X 942 There is a lot of space to install and wire all dvd/cd drives. I'm performing a adhere to up evaluation since I've read a few other people do them. It gonna seem like I am bagging on this cooler, but in the end, you'll see I've given it 5 stars nevertheless, just not for the very same factors. I too, like so many other people, located out following the truth the TEC won't ever kick in unless more than 70c. This in fact implies, immediately after owning this thing for a year, it has not turned on As soon as, not as soon as. The HSF itself is so freakin significant, it's bound to cool rather well. There's adequate metal on the CPU to dissapate a smaller engine block. I have found 1 should clean this thing just about every 3 months (give or take) b/c the three fins will filter almost everything out of your ambient indoor air, and it clops up believe me (non-puffing home too.) I believed the TEC concern necessary to be addressed. Cooler Master writes it's for "top of the line" performing CPUs. Well, I can't complain of the fact my W3520 has never ever gone more than 45c, but I was searching to see if there was some sort of software utility that could be generated to ramp the temp down to kick in the TEC. The dude from CM told me 'no" it can't and I really should get a V8. (scratches head) Are you kidding me? Does Cooler Master let drug use in the workplace? Essentially we are working with a carborator size HSF with a worthless TEC (yes, unless you fan dies, appears with all the other HSFs employing fans w/o TECs, we really should be secure there with a small awareness.) Why even put it on? They increase about a worthless useless aspect. Even with some really superior OCs, yes, the HSF will keep temps beneath 70c, but it could do so significantly additional. For the income we paid, tey must ramp this thing up to provide additional efficiency. BUT NO!!!! We must go acquire a V8 instead!!!! PAss that fattie over here buddy! So there's my rant. I really like the V10, it's huge, and it does the job b/c for the very reason it is so massive. But it could potenitally do so much much more. I've read a quantity of posts here that say this is a better selection than water cooling. Nicely guess what gents, (and gentettes) it is not. I'm performing both, and with OCs of a 920묺/W3520 over four.0Ghz + the V10 will get up there, but not adequate to kick in the TEC, keeping your program hot then will need be. A good Heatkiller Lite and Feser 360 Rad will preserve these around 35c-40c with a solid loop. The V10 can't touch that, and for the money , one's not too far away from a very good loop.

The air cooling on this fan is on par with some high end air coolers. The fan noise is low. Memory is also cooled as nicely as your most important board. TEC functions about ten% of the time. Price tag is a little high for a cooler that functions as it is supposed to only ten% of the time. I am employing a cosmos 1000 case. Size was not an problem. The cooler functions fine as an air cooler, nonetheless for half the cost you can get equally effective air coolers. When TEC is operating, this cooler is incredible. I have an i7 920 overclocked to whatever I want (i.e. 3.83 GHz) when TEC is on. It will in no way top 55C no matter the frequency. But when TEC doesn't work ࿺% of the time) I am restricted to three.4GHz at 70C under load.Moral of the story. Couple of consumers are genuinely obtaining operating TEC, And CM knows it. Steer clear of this cooler due to the fact it is a know failure. Buy a more affordable air cooler for your quad or i7. This cooler is a dud. This HSF +TEC just flat out proper does the job. why folks are baggin it for it weight is beyond me. If you're into your hardware man, you do your study, then you invest in and try. I expected this factor to wiegh a bunch. I was prepared to "maybe" wire the factor in from the chassis, but ALAS, I didn't have too. As lengthy as you tighten the mounts superior, appropriate to the t, without stripping, this thing will be fine. It might be far more heavy than any other HSF, but most of the weight is near the middle to bottom, that aleviates allot of the weight tension. If it was at the top, or middle leading, then yes, it would probably be a bigger issue, but it isn't, so it isn.t! I am in agreement with Torckwood, don't purchase this thing and then commence griping here on the revs, know what you're receiving. The unit itself isn't a con, what is is the reviews out there that bag this fine piece of hardware b/c the measure only the HSF part to preserve it on level wth other HSFs. This shouldn't be completed this way, taking away the benefit of the TEC just doesn't do this cooler any justice. The TEC keeps me RAm nice and cool and makes it possible for me to ramp up a Xeon W3520 to the heights. If folks don't want to roll the dice on a i7 920 and get stuck with a C0, they need to go appropriate for a W3520, which is actually a greater binned D0 guarenteed. Just go to your mobo makers sight and see if its supported, or they got a BIOS update to support it, or once more Newbs, do some investigation, someone has bound to have tried it, you can find out. Oh yeah, the V10 keeps my W3520 cooooool, 30cish on a four.2 Ghz OC with OCZ DDR3 1600 cranked.

Lots of square inches for heat exchange. Cumbersome in size and weight. 13°Celsius equals 55.four°Fahrenheit. Heatsinks are limitted by the laws of physics. They can only cool a CPU down to a few degrees hotter than room temperature. In order for this heatsink to cool a CPU down to 13°C, the room would have to be at least 11°C, which is 51°F. My Q6600 G0 at 3.2 GHz never hits 40C on any core at full load with OCCT. Also cools my RAM. Enormous. Had to move the DVD drive forward so it stuck out the front of my old Antec 900 to get even proper-angle power and SATA cables to fit. Solution: Bought a HAF 922.One of the fans died following ten months of 24-7 use. Still trying to figure out how to replace them (they're two PWM fans wired together). I have two separate fans in there in the mean time. The screws that go via the brackets are reverse-threaded on purpose. That way when you tighten the nuts on the back of the motherboard the screws also tighten, instead of loosening and spinning in location. Righty-tighty, lefty-loosy does not apply to each and every fastener in the world.

The V10's TEC / Peltier saved my ŭk plus system!!!!No kidding, I run my systems 24 ǝ - 365 with extremely couple of reboots.Due to illness I was bed bound for approx 7 weeks. At some point for the duration of those 7 weeks the fans in the V10 lost power leaving the V10 operating on only the TEC unit about the clock.I had let my eldest have access to the technique with the V10 in use, he neglected to tell me about the fan difficulties (Traced to my fan controler).Had this been any other cooler on the market place my CPU or worse would have been cooked.I myself had used my technique for just over 8 days just before getting to reboot due to certain updates that call for a boot. Then & only then did I discover that the fans had failed via a message from my method. This is proof positive that the TEC functions excellent & you don't have to worry about the loss of your rig really should you have fan failures for any cause at all.The TEC kept my AMD X4 940 Quad Black Edition each safe & cool for properly over a month!!!!!! The only cons here are posts from people today who don't know a factor about PCs, don't own a V10. My original rewive was posted here:- threeቨ񳏉.
