Worked Effectively for a while, lots of connectors Immediately after about 2 months it started making ALOT of noise (sounding like fan hitting a thing, but it isn't). The unit does not function nicely below even a moderate load. quite, add what you need cables, if you have a black situation it matchs, and it doesn't have lights. Its a great price, and the 2 eight pin pcie power connectors permit you to take off the 2 pins to make much more 6 pins if needed. Doesn't make breakfast. I bought this to replace my 650watt simply because my 8800 gtx's had been eatting power like crazy. I in no way had a dilemma with it and its super very which is a major + for me.

Modular design is generally wonderful for saving room in your situation. Very fans. High Watts None in over a year of ownership. I defiantly haven't put it underneath any power stresses. Single 9800gtx+, two.4 quad core, x5 sata hard drives, x2 Optical Drives. So there isn't a huge energy requirement in my program but none the much less I truly like this power supply.

Wonderful modular style Rattles as numerous men and women stated soon after about four months for me.. I have a Thermaltake speedo advanced Full tower situation w/ eight 120mm fans + the cpu fan, this PSU is at least 2x as loud as the other 8 fans combined.. Is just about unbearable to the touch as it is incredibly HOT... Im looking for a new supply now but wasted 贘 from the critiques Ive read from other people Im not even wasting my time on an RMA!! Buyers BEWARE you do get what you spend for, Ive learned the challenging way!If I could have given it Eggz i woulda, forced me to give it 1 egg!

When they work, they perform just fine. The modular cables are excellent to function with and help keep clutter to a minimum. I've owned two of these power supplies. The initially died right after 20 months and the second immediately after only 6. These are in fact the very first energy supplies I've ever owned that have died on me (I've been making computers for 15 years). To their credit, Coolmax provided to replace my energy provide given that they have a 3 year warranty. I decided not to bother with it considering that I don't genuinely want to deal with a product that appears to final much less than two years. Personally, I won't be acquiring their merchandise once again.

This PSU was excellent for my Antec 900 situation. It's modular so you only plug in what you need to have, and the cables are extended so they can go where you want them to. It's a lot of energy for my set up and it operates great! None

One of the biggest advantages are the cables and cable choices. You can hook up two double 6pin ƶpin no challenge. Operating Overclocked with Crossfire 4870's, 720BE, Sound Card, A lot of fans and not even a bleep, it just supplies power. Effectively... within a month I had to RMA for replacement. I had a negative one particular. Applied a loner PSU for about 3 weeks.Never ever a great feeling to purchase and RMA.Something built by man can and will break, the question is when. That's why there's warranties. But was my acquire a good one? For the RMA support was fantastic, it happens. I opted send in for repair. Months later right after pushing with Overclocking and gaming it is best. The Cables are stiff which is a 'Benefit'. You location, shape and they remain place. This PSU is a excellent value not a inexpensive Energy Supply. And I had to do an RMA... My addl. build is receiving one particular of these.

the psu puts out alot of energy and i loved the modular connectors. a single day even though surfing the web the psu made a loud pop and completely died on me, even place out a rank burnt odor. i maintain my computer system clean of dust and by no means leave it on when im not utilizing it. sending it in for rma and hopefully the subsequent psu will stand strong. never ever had a challenge with the fan nor it getting loud other than that oddly occurring... it ran fantastic. even even though coolmax does not have a tech support quantity to call there e mail replies are quickly and correct.

Modular cables, good black look, no annoying lights. Robust fan and relatively quiet for the first month. Right after a month of owning it the power supply started making a vibrating sound whenever the fan kicks on high. My brother bought the exact same precise unit and his fan died soon after a month. His replacement portion makes a rattling noise when the fan kicks on high. This truly looked like a high good quality power provide but it would appear that you are searching for difficulty if you obtain it.

None at the moment. I'm incredibly disappointed I didn't study a overview just before purchasing this unit. Hopefully the manufacture will step up and upgrade this unit or complete refund. I might submit final results of testing to BBB if I have to incur any additional expense on shipping or other charges. I need to have this Computer operating for my small business and have no other PS to place in if it desires to be shipped back prior to replacement or other is in my hands. I will not accept a replacement of the similar unit. I also assume this unit does not carry out anyplace close to what it is advertised at 950 watts. Crashing, Crashing. Very good 600 watt power provide but other brand 600 watt supplies are much more affordable. I will need atleast 900 watts!Dangerously high ripple above 700 WattsWon’t cool itself incredibly well above 700 Watts Incredibly poor voltage regulation above 700 Watts Very poor efficiency above 700 Watts Almost the samething as the troubled CUG-700B OCP/OVP/UVP did not step in when the ripple went high When I initially installed this unit (last month) it created a crackling noise when powered up and crackled the whole time it was on. Soon after about two days of use the crackle was much less and much less noticeable. It seemed to carry out ok at first. I am now finding random shut downs from this unit. It appears to crash when gaming in 3D or when wattage usage gets close to 700 watts. The outcomes of testing I discovered concur with other reviews of this item. High powered. Will support two high end video cards that need direct power connections. Modular cables make for less clutter. If you don't will need a certain connector, you don't plug it in. No bundle of unused cables to deal with in the personal computer case. Dead at 20 months. I think that the business's computed 100,000 hour MTBF ྫ years running 24ǝ) is a bit optomistic. I hope that they honor their 3 year warranty. Fan is louder than on most power supplies that I have applied but this provide is much additional effective than any other supply that I have used also. If you don't require this considerably power there are quieter options. There are two cables to provide power directly to crossfire or SLI video cards. I don't see a way for it to assistance 3 for those truly extreme gamers out there.

Runs every thing that I want. Under high load, this sucker is a charging rhino. It is actually loud, not to mention the rumbling vibrations within the PSU. Beneath stock specifications, it runs great, but as soon as you overclock a couple of points and turn up the voltage, it just screams at you. Would not advocate acquiring, unless you want to use 50% of the power.

Price Advertised 950 Watt OutputModular Cables are Great Failed Fan -- I'm 1 of the several with this challenge. Fan rattles so loud its not worth having the computer on. My case is kept extremely clean so its not a dust issue. I'm so excited about taking my computer system out of service for two weeks to RMA this power supply. In between that and paying shipping on a recognized coolmax dilemma... I wouldn't get a single again.

None but in regards to use since I haven't been in a position to energy up my program. But the seperated cables was a great suprise. That way you can use just what you need and not have a bunch of useless cables blocking up your situation's airflow. My acquire is missing the 4-pin cable that need to run from the power supply to the mobo's 4-pin ATX12V slot. Sent COOLMAX an email to their Ŗsupport" address but nevertheless waiting to get a response.Following reading all the negative critiques I wasn't going to bother with this unit, but a friend has the same a single and stated he's had no problems. Modular cables, with plenty of length. Lot of energy for the cost Unit wants small load for a couple of days then apply heaver load, that gets around the issue lots of individuals appear to have here.Worked for me anyway. Runs 940 Phenom ll overclocked, 4gb ram, two optical drives, 2 500 gb HD, 2x 9800 X2 video cards along with a 9600 gso. It will run warm but most heavy loaded PSU will run warm. I have 2 of these working 4 and 5 months without any complications so far dedicated folding 24ǝ on both machines.

Modular and cost. I have had complications with this fan given that I got the unit. It made a terrible rattling noise since of a plastic sheet half covering the fan. The fan also rattles horribly when in a horizontal position. So I have preserve my computer system on it's side. The fan finally died nowadays, less than a single year old. It has seized up and is incredibly hard to move. DO NOT Get THIS Power Provide!! Your fan will die and you will be forced to go via a lengthy RMA

Price tag蒞W!I haven't had any issues with it! (even soon after a year)Wires have a protective mesh(ish) case on them!It is fairly! The installation can be a bit difficult due to the fact the cables are stiff due to an extra case around the wires keeping them protected. Other than that I have no complaints. I have had this for over a year and it works good.I highly recommend this Power Provide!

Modular and good power on the rails. It operates. Got the very first one of these and the fan went beserk. Generally at full speed. Very noisey and annoying. RMA'd for another. Additional of the similar. Fan ramps up to complete speed and it also has a rattling sound in the unit. This power supply is by far the loudest noise in my HAF case. Not worth the dollars unless you like noise. Nice searching, fully modular, low cost. It's seriously a 600W PSU with OCP set at 950W.Do not try to load this PSU more than 600W or it will fry. I like it for ๳, it's a decent 600W power supply. Ignore the 950W specification, it's an outright lie.

The Very good:Totally modular Cable for two high power video cards (My 2 9800 GTX+ cards drain this unit)Nicely packaged Owner's manual OCP worked... sometimes I wish I would have read some reviews of this product ahead of I purchased it. Power provide crashes out when it gets to 700-750watts!! I have had this unit because February and just had a chance to install it final month. When I first used it the PS created a slight sizzling crackling noise which I attributed to not getting broken in. That noise had stopped after a week or so. I have two 9800 GTX+ plus cards running in SLI I can only run 1 at a time now or unplug two of my challenging drives. The PS gets to 700W peak and shutsdown. The following is portion of a review which I have identified to be correct of this product. The CUG-950B performs extremely properly at 600W, miserably at 700W, dangerously at 800W, and totally fails to even try for 950W.It's a drastically overrated decently performing 600W power provide. Even worse, it's practically identical in practically each way as the CUG-700B which has issues. Manufacturer Response:Hello,Please contact tech@coolmaxusa.com regarding this matter. Please offer us with your total computer specs and what tool you have applied to read 700w of power consumption.Regards,Coolmax Support
