This is one of the best SSD drives on the industry appropriate now. The speed is realitively high for other drives in the class and it makes use of the Sandforce controler. At about 贄, the bank for the buck is extremely high. Even includes a 3.five' to 2.5' bay tray. None. Employed as a technique drive in an economical personal computer build for a realitive as a christmas gift. Why invest fortune on other hardware when the HDD bottleneck can be eliminated with a SSD. |

Extremely quickly boot in both windows and linux (faster in linux). Applications launcing off the drive load insanely quick. I don't have particular read/write occasions (see beneath). none so far I ran some benchmarking tests on this drive and immediately after Windows would not boot. I'm not certain if this was the drives fault or one thing else. After doing a bit of recovery anything returned to regular. In the approach of recovery all the information from the benchmarking was lost and I'm afraid of operating tests once more. |

I got the stated rates on an ATTO v2.46 run off the shelf, but we all know that's not everyday use. I Do however get 200럼 on CrystalDisk at 500MB Seq, and 107럽 on 4k QD32, by which I am quite pleased. I'm from post to desktop in Win7 x64 in less than ten seconds, shutdown in five, and faster than I can hold up in amongst. It's admittedly slower than a nice raid setup for repetitive multi-gig transfers, but for holding down an OS and your standard apps, it's a gem. If you don't have OS trim support, Corsair doesn't do mu much more than point you to a tutorial involving an image backup, and performing a Gparted secure wipe on a linux boot. I wasn't that bothered, but less tech savvy beware. The genuine problem, which I, and several other individuals have (though not apparently all), is trouble with a cold boot. I have an older setup (Intel p35, Q6600), but I don't believe that's the dilemma. My intel raid ahci boot (in bios) won't see the drive unless the program has been powered on for at least 30 sec. This is a genuine difficulty, and there's a lot of chatter on the forum about it, but the powers that be are hinting that there might be a firmware repair coming soon. For me it's no large deal, it's my household computer, and the boot just passes by and waits on my truecrypt pass for the subsequent drive, I wait a bit and warm boot, and all is well. The sheer performance, especially in a trim setting is properly worth the trouble to me, but a lot of might reasonably be put off by it. |

Performance, cooling, noise None but I purchased four of these to replace RAID 74GB WD Raptors in my Mac Pro 1.1. This is my day to day function horse so I genuinely haven't had time to do any official benchmark testing, but seat-of-the-pants performance enhance is more than noticeable. One point of interest is to install these in a Mac Pro you'll want to order Icy Dock drive adaptors as the supplied adaptors do not accommodate mounting from below. All in all, I'm very pleased so far. I've generally found Corsair products to be some of the most dependable out there, and would have to believe any issues earlier reviewers have had are not indicative of overall reliability. |

its quickly. when booting ubuntu ten.10 from pressing enter in the bootloader to seeing the login screen takes 12-13 seconds just about every time and this is my netbook. you can also resize partitions considerably more swiftly than on a disk drive none yet its a lot more high-priced but its worth it for the speed |

Uncomplicated installation, windows was set up simply and swiftly.Little and light, initially surprised by how small the box was.It came with a 3.five bay adapter and screws, no SATA cables but thats expected. The speeds adverised are unlikely to be achieved; working with CrysltalDiskMark I got a 200 Mb/s read and 100 Mb/s write.I strongly advocate to get a SSD with higher capacity, 60Gb is not considerably. Windows and drivers already take 30Gb of the 55Gb readily available after formatting this drive, not significantly spare space to operate with. I am usinng this along a 1Tb WD and it performs fine.My WEI went up from five.8 with the WD to 7.7 on the primary drive section. |

Quick. Benchmarks at incredibly close to advertised speeds. Use ATTO benchmark. -Quiet-Low power consumption Smaller for the price? Like any newer tech this will continue to evolve and become more mainstream.Potentially shorter life then mechanical disk I tried HD Tune and got comparable results to the review below. It also was warning of negative sectors, but no other plan seems to indicate a issue. Try crystaldiskinfo for a HD smart utility that tends to recognize SSDs far more accurately. The ATTO benchmark was about 260 write 280 read. I got a 7.6 in the disk score in Windows 7. Wow.I did not zero the drive prior to installing windows 7. Per Corsair's recommendation, all I did was enable ACHI in my bios and away I went. |

Incredibly fast when it worked, plus all the other widespread positive aspects of SSD. Low power consumption, no noise, compact. Not reliable!I was just listening to iTunes final night when it failed. The machine hung and went to a blue screen error. Subsequent boots would not detect the drive. I did get it to boot into safe mode, but only intermittently. I program to RMA the disk, but it sounds like it will take a whilst to replace, so I guess I'll go back to a standard spinning drive for now. Disappointing. This is my second review. I had not had any problems with the disk until now. It appears Corsair has had issues with their firmware. I was operating v2. for a even though with no a dilemma. |

Rapid. ATTO benched this drive (sequential read/write) at 280롌 MB/s. Acronis Advanced Workstation loads up in 1-3 seconds, whereas it utilized to opens in about 10-15 seconds when I had a WD Caviar Blue as a boot drive. Included two.five" to three.5" doesn't rather line up precisely like the common screw holes on a typical three.5" HDD, which is what the bracket is supposed to mimic. Given that it is an SSD, this is not a huge con due to the fact I could just rig it up any way I wanted, or just let it sit on something. No vibrations = doesn't have to be held down (technically). As MaximumPC stated in their assessment, you may possibly want to write zeroes to the drive very first. Before that, the drive only benched around 190ኘ MB/s on sequential read/writes. Extremely odd. |

This drive is unbelievable as it lives up to the benchmarks Corsair has posted making use of ATTO. This drive came with the two. Firmware. Windows boots within a couple of seconds soon after the POST. Games that are loaded on the drive load within seconds as well. The three.5 inch mounting bracket was a extremely nice touch. It doesn't do my taxes? According to Corsair this drive will only be manufactured employing the 34nm process till the end of March. They will on the other hand continue to manufacture the drive itself but it will be utilizing their new 25nm method. This new drive according to Corsair will be clearly marked with a '-A' behind the model number. I also recommend reading the recommendations and tweaks on the Corsair forums for fantastic suggestions that really should be made in order to keep the lifespan of the drive any longer. |

I built a new gaming program and chose these two on evga p55 micro board. On intel raid I set the Raid up with a 4k stripe - and installed win 7 - no extra drivers necessary. Set up was a breeze. When I got almost everything loaded and drivers updated I was screaming along - games load in no time. ATTO says I am pushing 450 MB/sec on all but the smallest of transfer tests. To go any greater I would require a 200 dollar sata raid controller and 4x raid . none |

It installed like a normal drive except that I was searching at a Win 7 pro finished install desktop in 25 minutes. It got a Windows Experience rating of 7.six on this box. I adore watchin the progress bars fly so quickly that they appear like they are going to break off. Now I want a considerably bigger one for my movie editing laptop or computer. Welcome to the future. SSD rocks. |

seems to be pretty rapid, as specified. There is a major concern with the firmware. Appears to grow to be unresponsive when your method goes into a low power state. Google for sandforce sf-1200.Don't use this for a technique that is on all the time. Tried working with this drive for a Fedora 13 build. The drive would grow to be inaccessible soon after waking up from a day or two of inactivity. After a reboot it works fine. Imaged the system over to a standard drive, and it functions fine. Corsair is promising a fix, but it's been various months given that the difficulty was initial reported. Wish I knew this prior to obtaining. |

Fantastically rapidly- Atto benchmarked at 250 (limited by SATA II) read, 135 write. Slow write would be because I didn't "zero" the drive prior to using. Employing it to triple boot XP, 7, and Ubuntu and startups are crazy fast! A small complicated to get the formatting of partitions correct- for some reason GParted (linux partition editor) didn't like this drive at all, and I had to fundamentally set partitions manually in windows, then format them individually throughout OS installs. Most people most likely won't be performing one thing as crazy as a triple boot even though, so if you're just employing it as a single partition drive, don't be concerned. It's saturating the SATA II bandwidth- literally will read quicker than your SATA cable can manage unless you've got the most up-to-date stuff. As soon as you get it up and operating, it's good. |

Of the 20 games ive attempted, I've had a error with SC2 10 of the instances and blue screened around three times. |

Loaded my OS (Win 7 Pro) along with assorted drivers and used 35GB with 25GB to spare. I use a 600 GB D drive as storage. Windows boots in 42 seconds including POST and shuts down in 5 seconds. If you're building a new system, I very recommend employing 1 of these. TRIM is also supported. Wish costs would start to fall a bit faster. |
