Corsair Force Series CSSD-F60GB2-BRKT 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
The rebate was BS when I bought. NCIX said $20 but it was only $10.
Pros: Sturdy construction, very fast, no compatibility issues. Comment:
I restored a fresh WHS back up of Win 7 x64 to this drive and was up and running in 20 minutes. The drive is very fast with a Windows Experience Index of 7.5/7.9. The OCZ Summit it replaced was quick but this is better. For the money spent it is actually a good value in the SSD world.Highly recommended. I would buy a second one if I felt the need for more speed. The system boots to active desktop in about 20 seconds, with apps appearing almost instantaneously. Colour me satisfied with one. I can't imagine much benefit from RAID. |

Corsair Force Series CSSD-F60GB2-BRKT 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
Does not look particularly cool
Pros: Fast, works instantly out of the box Comment:
Got this when it was on sale earlier to use as a boot drive. Boots Win7 in under 20 seconds, so it's very fast. I also keep my game save files on it - really appreciably decreases loading time though the game itself is on another drive. Only flawI can think of is that the packaging and look of the thing are very plain. If you wanted something fancy in a case with windows, this might be important ;) |

Corsair Force Series CSSD-F60GB2-BRKT 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
none
Pros: fast as advertised Comment:
This is my first SSD and I haven't benchmarked it but I can say that I have had zero problems with this drive and the performance is amazing. This is a nice sized drive. My use for a games-only PC is to install Windows and little programs and my most frequently used games on it and have everything else on a short-stroked HD. 60 GB is just right for this. Any smaller and it would feel really cramped, and any bigger would cost a lot more and it would end up holding games I don't regularly play.Note the usable size after formatting is the expected approximately 92-93% of 60 GB. |

Corsair Force Series CSSD-F60GB2-BRKT 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
only 55GB after format and installation of windows, price is too high without the instant rebate.
Pros: Very fast, affordable with the rebate ncix offers. Comment:
upgraded from an A-Data 32GB SSD, this one is way faster. Loaded my pc in under 40 seconds. Sequential reads/writes lived up to advertised speeds. I would definitley buy again to raid. Sequential reads are amazing not sure about 4k have to test it.My PC:AMD Phenom II 965Crosshair Formula IVCorsair 4GB DDR3 1866Asus 5870 V2Corsair 800DWindows 7 Ultimate 64-bit |

Corsair Force Series CSSD-F60GB2-BRKT 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
I guess Size - 60Gb, I have 6 TB internal next to it, so I don't mind.Price/Size, but the Price/Speed is phenomenal
Pros: Extreme SPEED3 Year MFR Warranty, even if I hope not to need it, its good to haveand the usual SSD strenghts: physically small size, energy efficient, no moving parts: no noise, less risk of damage if moving or when shutting down, etc. Comment:
I had an OCZ Agility in a MSI U100 laptop since Mar 2010, but this is the first time I've had an SSD in my desktop (Quad 955, xfx 5750, 4x2gb 8500 ddr2, 3 x 2 Tb Hdd). With the SSD in my sublaptop, I saw normal performance, and not too significant battery usage enhancement, I didn't got what was all the fuss around SSD... I was so wrong, and SSD in the desktop, especially the ones with the sandforce chip. ((PS. Don't waste your time/money, don't install an SSD in an ATOM cpu-ed computer, it simply can't handle it, complete waste of money, time (to reinstall), power... the performance change is not visible and not worth it.))With this Corsair Force SSD installed IN A DESKTOP, It's incredible; When booting, takes 7 seconds from the memory check to the windows starting, 7 seconds from the windows starting screen to the password/login screen, then 3 seconds and you're in. And when I mean 'you're in' means you are ready to do whatever you want it's already all loaded. Loading anything takes no time. Even loading Matlab or big software takes only few seconds (less than 5 sec). You want something, simply click it, it's there, no wait*. * Of course, if you install a anti viral software with the scan on access option turned on, this changes, there will be delays.. you can disable this option, simply scan on download/cd/floppy access only, so it's scanned once only..Oh, I haven't installed big games on it yet, just big software, math/simulation software and I have a large part of the SSD already full... so If you want to install games on the SSD and enjoy the speed, buy two, raid them, or buy a bigger one, or the hybrid 2.5 500gb with 2gb ssd integrated within... This Corsair Force SSD is an excellent choice, any other Sandforce based ssd should do fine too, you won't regret it. |
