Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons:The remote screen broke after a couple months, so now I have no screen to change the settings.I find for dubsteb it doesn't hit the low beats.

Pros:Sounds goodSolidly builtSounds good for rap and FPS games
Comment:
A decent system with good sounds. I think perhaps the Klipsh system that is around the same price may be better. However, I have not personally compared them.

Clear sound, even at max volume. (I use a Xonar ST Sound Card) Control pod no longer displays an image. Really annoying. Wish these would have been as flawless as other Corsair products. Cons:none

Pros:accurate soundquality buildexcellent value
Comment:
I am very happy with this system. The sound is so good I am looking for all my original CD's because my compressed mp3 versions now sound noticeably poorer in quality. The ridgidly built speaker and subwoofer cabinets do their job well. No distortion with these babies so if you like a rumbling buzzing cacophony you probably won't like these.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons:Uses unreliable capacitors, subwoofer is SEVERELY underpowered

Pros:Satellites and midranges are good, not great though. Cables are redone, they're nice and long.
Comment:
READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW!!I paid $200 for these and got a $50 MIR back, so i paid about $150 for these. For the cost, these are better than the pro media 2.1 sets, and is decent, considering it's a 2.1 system. The satellites are alright. If you're mounting these on your desk, don't use the cheap sub incliners, go on kijiji and buy some speaker stands for like $20. They make all the difference. Each midrange driver and tweeter are individually powered, which is a nice change from other setups. They're housed in what i call cheap plastic. The design of these are hit-and-miss, you'll either love hem or hate them. I like them, minus the fact they're cheapo plastic.I think Corsair's redesigned their speaker wires. they're about 6ft each, and you can have your satellites about 12ft apart max. There's lots of length for the wire. However, the RCA-to-3.5mm jack is relatively short. Their satellites use 4-pin ATX PSU wires. They're alright, but it leaves no room for upgrading, if need be.The amplifiers do their job, but to be honest, I'd expect more punch from the subwoofers in general. Again, they're alright but nothing i'd be raving about. The subwoofer is incredibly underpowered. They could be much better than what you'd get for your dollar. I'm not comparing them to the z2300's muddy bass, but these could give a stronger punch. I was kinda disappointed with these. They DO have that nice, tight sound that's found in higher level speaker sets, but they aren't loud enough. For example, I have to turn the subs up all the way to get a moderately decent punch from them. I'm actually considering dropping $200 more on a powered subwoofer to connect to my TV just so i can have a stronger bass punch. A perfect example of how underpowered the sub is: if you crank up the volume, the satellites overpower the sub; the subs can't keep up at higher volume levels. I expected much better to be honest. As far as the controller goes, I just set it reference level sound and keep it there. The other modes make some things sound good but suck at other frequencies. For $200 i'd expect better options. Night mode is good if you want no bass at all.The sub IS kind of big. The 4th order band pass is a load of crap to be honest. For $200, or $150 if you do your MIR, they're ok. you can get a bit better if you do your own speaker system build. I'd give this a 2 star rating, but because NCIX filters out all 2 star reviews, this would never make it up.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons:-Lacking optical connection-Wish there was a 5.1 version (probably will be one day)-Not as loud as some toher speakers (Logitech Z5500)-Short satellite speaker cables

Pros:-Very clear sound-Inexpensive-Light
Comment:
Amazing speakers, especially for the price. They outperform many of the more expensive 5.1 speaker systems, which is probably why some of them have vanished. The sound is very clear when partnered up with a good sound card. I use the Asus Essence STX and the sound is outstanding. However the speakers aren't nearly as loud as my old Logitech Z5500, but they sound much better and are still amazing. I do however wish that they also came in a 5.1 system, which I'm sure they probably will. However, I wish the cables for the satellite speakers were longer. I have a large desk and had be very creative with my cable routing. Also it would be nice if there was a optical connection, in case I ever ever decide to hook them up to my TV or consoles. If a 5.1 version is to ever come out, I will definitely buy it.

Pros:-Personally i like the design of the speakers-very study and well built-4 pin plugs are unique!-great quality for 2.1 speakers

Overall great set of speakers. you wont go wrong with them. the volume controller allows you to control base and set speaker eq's which are great for late night music or full out bass boosters. very well worth the price.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons:Not a big issue but the cables that connect to the satellite speakers seem kinda flimsy since the inner wires are exposed.

Pros:Great set of speakers and very high quality sound and bass. The volume and bass control unit that it comes with is nice and handy too.
Comment:
Very great set of speakers. Just make sure you have the room to put the sub woofer somewhere as it is fairly big in size. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great set of speakers whether it be for gaming or just music/video.

Comment:
- Speakers appear wonderful- Straightforward set up- Remarkable sound and clarity- Various settings for diverse genres of music Cables could be longer for some people today but Corsair has addressed this now. Just get in touch with their consumer support. Have had this set for a few weeks now and love it. Replaced my Klipsch two.1 and am not disappointed. Don`t get me wrong, I still adore the Klipsch`s and advocate them to any person who desires to invest much less money, the 2500`s soundwise are a step above. You hear sounds in songs you never ever heard before. In gaming, the difference was wonderful. So considerably a lot more "realism" and, like in the music, you hear sounds you by no means heard prior to. Simply amazing.- Would adore to make this a 5.1 setup.- Make confident to pair it with a very good sound card to get the most out of this set.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons:Mute Button

Pros:Amazing soundStays clear even at ear bleeding volumesThe sub really does it justice
Comment:
Pros:Amazing sound all round, The best sound system I have owned and very cheap for what you get. I have other sound systems that are 2 to 3 times the cost of this and they do not even come close to comparing. You will not be disappointed.Cons:The rotating dial on the controller can be pushed down for mute, but I find this difficult to do without rotating the dial which then cancels the mute function. Conclusion:Even though Corsair hasn't done sound for very long, I will say that this is the best quality sound system I have used. Yes it is 2.1 but do you really need more? Pick up the USB headset form Corsair (also amazing) and that should satisfy all you 7.1 gaming needs. With price check you can get both of these for less then a low end 5.1 system ($300).

Corsair, By the support you have supplied the two folks who have bought your item here you have sold me on these and I am about to get a set! Wonderful Job!! I have no doubts these will be exceptional. To read the reviews on them and then to see the people today here speaking about two.1 beating five.1 appears to me you may be onto one thing in line with Bose two.1 Program. Im a seller on a popular auction web page and take care of My shoppers to the uttmost. That is my Quantity One Priority Usually! And let me tell you, There is NO Cons when a seller is willing to help their Buyers who have problems and realizes they are what makes your corporation thrive! Wonderful job Corsair! I obtain tons of Pc components. And never ever have I saw a Manufacturer do what Corsair is doing with these. Believe me Corsair, Men and women would rather see what your doing with the few poor critiques on this Page and Pay your cost then get some thing bad and have to go via a bunch of nonsense. Fantastic job handling Customer service!!

Excellent Sounding 2.1 System. Came from a 10 year old 5.1 Creative/Gigaworks. Need to have about two more feet of speaker cable to reach right Speaker. Had to spot the Sub port facing a wall to make it reach. Which Sucks. makes my Picture vibarate. You do need to have a Excellent Soundcard to get better sound. I tested it employing On Board sound, does not Sound all that terrific. But I also have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Specialist which makes it 100% far better. Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons: Uses special speaker cables to each satellite.

Pros: Extremely clear, tight sound.Good positioning.
Comment:
I have thoroughly enjoyed this speaker set. Their sound quality is higher than my Audio Technica M50 headphones as should be expected. The headphone port volume is good for headphone listening without needing to turn the volume way down from speaker listening levels. I need to try out this system with a sound card once I finish my desktop as my laptop's audio port noise floor is often audible as a high pitched hiss when the sound is supposed to be off.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Solid construction, very good imaging and response, loud but clear.
Comment:
I switched from the logitech z5500 to these after reading a lot of reviews on the sp2500's. Cosair has done their homework and has built some solid stereo speakers.(their audio engineers have posted construction details in some forums). The difference can be heard right away, stereo imaging is great and you can run these loud(if you choose) without fear of them blowing. The control unit is solid. The bass is nice and not overwhelming like the logitechs where everything is bass. I got them for $200 on sale.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons: -Sub is big (But thats not necessarily a bad thing, is it?)

Pros: -Powerful-Clear, good sounding speakers-Looks pretty good-Very nice remote that is very helpful and easy to use.
Comment:
I got the speakers today and am absolutely thrilled! Been wanting to get some better speakers for a long time now, but was iffy about getting computer speakers as they have seemed, the ones i've heard anyways, lacking in sound and mostly bass.. which i love. I looked into these speakers and read ALOT of reviews in my spare time and decided i would get these speakers. Then i saw that they had the 40 dollars off and free shipping, so i jumped at that.I have only had these speakers a day, but they sound great. I havent played any games yet, but the music sounds very nice and waaaay better over my previous system. These speakers are real powerful, and i havent even come close to their limits as i just got them. Not a complaint here, but the sub is pretty big tho so i would be aware of that before trying to fit it in a small place lol. Would DEFINATELY buy again. The only way to make these speakers "better" would be to have it 5.1. But i have no use for a 5.1 system and thats why i got this, so its perfect for me. Love it!

Cons: not 5.1 but you should know that

Pros: Best 2.1 audio you can get for 200$ and even to my knowledge the best stereo speaker for pc.
Comment:
Solid and sound great, it's more for movie and music than game. The game won't suffer the sound is excellent but people who are more gamer than audiophile should consider a 5.1 specially for shooter since it is not what the SP2500 have been created for.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Cons: Plastic construction

Pros: SoundWeightQuality
Comment:
The SP2500 are light years ahead of any logitech, creative, logisys, and edifier speakers, they are bi amplified so when the bass hits, your treble does not go down along with it. The subwoofer box is extremely well built and classy, the only thing I dont like about it is the plastic construction of the satellite speakers, I expected wood at this price, but it still sounds fantastic. The speakers are not negatively weighty, the mid & tweeters actually ARE this heavy :p.Like the online reviews, it is very much possible to crank the speakers ALL the way up without ANY distortion! I am extremely pleased with my purchase.Note: I use an Auzentech Prelude.

I am very pleased with this purchase. The sound is very clear regardless of volume. The remote is very handy to keep next to my keyboard. There are buttons to adjust the speaker volume and bass right from the remote, the bass adjustment was on the back of the sub woofer on my old speakers. I hooked these up a couple days ago and have been very pleased so far. For computer speakers, these things pound. The sound is very clean and crisp even at high volumes. They seem to be very well built. It is really nice to have the master volume and sub control on the remote. I wish it had a "rock" eq setting, but I am using it on "action gaming". Seems to have the best sound for the music I listen to. Anyways, great speaker set. Little on the expensive side, but I think it is worth it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
