Corsair Vengeance 1500 Gaming Headset Dolby 7.1 50MM Driver Circumaural Earcup USB
Cons:Dust.

Pros:PRICE VS QUALITY
Comment:
For the price, I think it's a perfect choice between price and sound quality. They are confortable on my head. One bad thing, dust stick in it.

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Gaming Headset Dolby 7.1 50MM Driver Circumaural Earcup USB
Cons:Sound quality isn't as good as I had hoped. Tonal range is poor, an annoying click/tick sound when stopping or skipping ahead in a song, I am hearing distortion in higher frequencies (when playing Jazz/Classical) - it's actually pretty annoying, At first the headphones are comfortable but the weight (they are heavy) gets a bit uncomfortable after two hours.

Pros:Effectively blocks out external sounds. The Corsair configuration interface is a nice design.
Comment:
NCIX has a no return policy so I guess I am stuck with these headphones. I suppose I should have heeded the title "Gaming Head Set" I mistakenly thought they would be good for music (I am not a gamer).First, the sound was terribly flat (no bass, high highs) but after installing the latest drivers from Corsair... the dynamic range improved BUT also added significant distortion (even at lower volume). Note: This distortion is only discernible in jazz, classical, etc... type music. What was I thinking? I should have gone with a higher quality headset with more versatile analog inputs. Having said that, I guess this headset is good for gamers. Finally, it is possible that I have not configured something properly and if anyone has any suggestions, I am willing to try... if I can improve the sound quality, I will modify this review.

Cons:Too comfortable, don't want to take them off ;)

Pros:ComfortableClear and crisp audioExcellent microphoneSturdy
Comment:
Had my Corsair HS1 headset bug out a few weeks ago, had no problem trusting Corsair with my money once again. I suffered for a few days with a backup headset while this one was being shipped, was in seventh heaven the first time I put these on, even while I wear glasses I have no discomfort and the microphone comes through clear with almost no extra setup needed. The audio is perfect for gaming and good for music, the 7.1 Virtual Surround is excellent for games that can make use of it.

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Gaming Headset Dolby 7.1 50MM Driver Circumaural Earcup USB
Cons:-Cable is longer than required for me-Mainly made of plastic-Soundcard can't be disconnected

Pros:-Good deal-Good quality-Great Sound-Comfortable-USB Sound Card-Good Microphone
Comment:
The overall build quality is very good especially for this price point a comparable product would be the Siberia V2's but the siberia's don't have a sound card built in. However I have heard about cables breaking or coming loose so you may have to baby it. It is very comforable and can be worn for long periods of time without irritation. The price is right. The sound quality is very good I especially enjoy the 7.1 virual surround sound as well as just stereo I don't really like the 2nd option provided in corsairs software I feel like it does not really have a purpose. To take advantage of the sound quality DOWNLOAD CORSAIRS DRIVERS. The sound card is great however is not removable. If you have a sound card grab the Siberia V2's. The noise canceling microphone is great I tested it and cancels out anything or anyone around me which is great. It is made of plastic no metal on it except maybe in the headband. The cable is VERY long I use about a quarter of the cable length. Overall great product absolutely recommend.

Cons:USB only connection

Pros:Dolby Digital DriversGreat surround sound
Comment:
The Corsair Vengeance 1500 is a great sounding headset that produces virtual sound quality better than other headset brands that use multiple speakers. The microphone is sturdy and folds out of the way without fear of breaking. The blue light that turns red when muted is a nice touch.Very happy with this purchase.

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Gaming Headset Dolby 7.1 50MM Driver Circumaural Earcup USB
Cons:Makes your head a little warm

Pros:Excellent headset. Mic sounds great, audio comes in clearly, installs easily.
Comment:
The things are humongous. They're not uncomfortably big, but they're just big. Mic should be tampered with a bit in settings so that you aren't really, really silent, but that's not a big deal at all. Excellent quality and it looks great. Make sure to download the latest drivers from Corsair's site itself. Very straightforward stuff. And it can also slide right off of your head if you don't place it properly haha.Makes your head kind of warm (very nice fit) and adjustable for people with long/large heads (I didn't have to adjust mine at all). Recommended buy!

Cons:Haven't found one yet

Pros:Comfortable, well made, Good voice and in game clarity.
Comment:
Bought these for use with Skype and gaming - This headset excels at both.Voices come though clearly while in game, excellent mic quality, nice audio cable and build quality. I used to have a pair of Tritton's and the mic broke after a month, 6 months with these and no issues. The only thing I haven't used these for is Movies so I can not comment using these for that purpose.

I got this headset as a replacement for my HS1A from corsair. All I can say is that these are far better than many gaming headsets out on the market. The software is really user friendly and the quality from the sound is remarkable.

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Gaming Headset Dolby 7.1 50MM Driver Circumaural Earcup USB
Cons:-extremely heavy (weight)-lacks bass

Pros:-long cable-comfortable ear-cups-great software
Comment:
The software makes it highly customizable to your liking. The ear cups are packed with cushion making it comfortable on the side of the head.Like most headsets out there, the 1500 lacks bass. One important factor is that these are extremely heavy. You don't really notice anything at first, however despite the fact that the headband is already highly cushioned, after like 45 minutes you can really feel the weight pushing down on the top of your head. I constantly have to re-adjust the position because it just feels so heavy. After long uses (2+ hours) I sometimes get headaches around the area that I rest it on.I would have actually rated this 2 stars because of the weight alone, but it was too much of a hassle to fill out order number and get it approved and stuff. Seeing as 2 stars is tagged as "It works, but Would NOT Purchase Again", I think 2 stars would be more appropriate. I just can't stand the weight.

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Gaming Headset Dolby 7.1 50MM Driver Circumaural Earcup USB
Cons:- Bass lacking in standard configuration- Dolby Headphone a poor substitute for real surround

Pros:- Comfortable for big heads- Solid construction- Good value- Excellent sound quality with some tweaking- USB interface
Comment:
I've been gaming with Edifier surround speakers, and thought I should give my neighbours a break by trying some headphones. I bought these based on reviews and features.A USB interface meant I could avoid swapping cables with my existing speakers. My on-board sound isn't impressive, so I figured USB sound could help me out there too. I also wanted something that could do passable surround imaging for a decent price. These headphones sounded like they fit the bill.Impression out of the box was that they felt good, seemed solid, and sounded... flat. I quickly set up my own equalizer profile that nearly maxed out the bass and tweaked the high end for snappier treble. In spite of being driven with far more boomy bass than the default settings, they perform well and do not distort at anything shy of maximum volume. I've found that the ear cups have started sealing against my head a bit better with wear, so I may be able to back off the bass a bit after some more work-in. Other reviews have complained about the USB sound chipset and sound quality, but I have not noticed any particular shortcomings. Perhaps I am not enough of an audiophile, or need experience with better products to know the difference. MP3s and stereo music files are well served, especially with the enhanced Dolby Headphone sound stage. Gaming is properly life-like, with my only complaint related to the following:If I have a regret, it's that I didn't shell out a bit more money for discrete 5.1 surround headset. Dolby headphone has it's place, but I find front vs. rear sound projection to be nearly indistinguishable. I understand there are compromises in most true 5.1 sets as well, so for now I appreciate the tight sound offered by the Vengeance 1500 for a reasonable cost.

Cons:None yet

Pros:Great sound for the priceReally have the feeling of 7.1Mesh cableMemory foam
Comment:
The head band is stiff but the memory foam make these really confortable on the head. The software is needed to enjoy the potential of the 7.1 and is not included in the package but is downloadable and easily found on the website. The bass are a little low but with some tweak in the software you can make it enjoyable. Definitly one of the best in the price range and easily comparable, even better than the g35.

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Gaming Headset Dolby 7.1 50MM Driver Circumaural Earcup USB
Cons:-Lacks bass-Volume control is a little buggy at times-People with a bigger head might find it uncomfortable after wearing it for a while

Pros:-Very long and flexible braided cord-Decent surround sound-Lightweight and simple software-Very nice build quality-Extremely comfortable(for people with smaller heads)-Very good microphone sound
Comment:
The headset hasn't been out for long so I can't say if those are going to be more durable than the last Corsair line of headsets but they seem to have upped the build quality a lot. I really like how they made the cord on this. Sometimes braided cords are really inflexible, almost like having your peripheral is attached to your computer with a steel wire. This one is pretty thick, looks durable and yet it's still flexible enough not to be annoying. The aluminum accents on the side of the headset are a nice touch(not sure if it's real aluminum but it looks and feels like it). The headset itself sits on your head really tightly though. A friend of mine tried it for almost an hour(he has a smaller head than mine)and told me it was hands down the most comfortable headset he's ever tried but I feel like my head is a bit too "squeezed" after a while. The volume control does get a bit hot but I didn't find it overly hot or anything. The LEDs on it are not too bright where it would get annoying and change color to red whenever your mic is muted which is fairly practical. I can't always adjust the volume directly on it depending on the game I'm playing though. I'm not sure what causes this but it's not a deal breaker for me. I've tested the mic on both TS3 and Skype so far. People told me my voice sounded a LOT better than it did with my last headset(razer carcharias).Where it gets a bit disappointing is the sound. Bass in particular. It does sound absolutely great at times but in most cases, it just seems to lack power and definition in a weird way. It's almost like the 50mm drivers are ready to deliver a mind blowing explosion but something is keeping it from delivering a proper "Boom!". It might just be a software problem though but so far even cranking the bass in the Corsair control panel hasn't given me great results. As I expected, the Dolby 7.1 thing is still mostly a gimmick. It does make a small difference but not enough to call this 7.1 in my opinion.Overall, the headset's sound is decent for gaming but really not fantastic for movies and music(unless they can make it better through software). Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely great if you have really bad onboard sound on a laptop but if you have a good sound card, there's better options. The only thing that's keeping it from a 3 stars is the obvious effort Corsair made on the build quality.

Cons:-Volume control gets hot

Pros:-Great professional look-7.1 virtual surround is great-Microphone works fine-Confortable-Braided cord
Comment:
I just received those yesterday. If you want to get 100% of what you are paying for, you need to install the application which is not in the box when you open it but available on the corsair website. I found them without any problems. The sound's great, it really feel like you are in a room with 7 speaker... but the bass are a little low and sometimes there's none. I think it depends how the sound you are listening to have been recorded but beside that, I like my new headset. There's also an issue with the volume control on the cord. At some point, that thing get real hot like not enough to cook bacon but enough to be noticable if the control lay down on you. I think its the lights inside that make the whole thing hot or maybe the components but i'm not an expert. Let see if its still working in a month or two!
