Corsair Vengeance K60 Performance FPS Cherry MX Red Mechanical 20 Key Rollover Gaming Keyboard USB
Cons:- key prints are starting to rub off (what the??)- I knew this from the get go but it's not all mechanical

Pros:- Red switches (not as loud as the blues)- high quality silver brushed aluminum- contoured keys-wrist pad-volume scroll button
Comment:
Overall, this is the keyboard that a FPS gamer wants. The contoured keys and the wrist pad along with the red keys were the big selling points for me. The wrist pad took some adjusting. At first, I didn't want it but my wrist started to hurt and now I can't go without it. It gives a needed elevation. Love the look of this keyboard. Goes well with the rest of the silver found on my monitor.

Corsair Vengeance K60 Performance FPS Cherry MX Red Mechanical 20 Key Rollover Gaming Keyboard USB
Cons:Weird BIOS error. Wrist-pad isn't 100% awesome.

Pros:Great keyboard, removable keys and lower chassis allows for good cleaning.

This is my first mechanical keyboard, so I can't put claim on how well it stacks up to others in terms of "key" quality. But damm, every hour I'm away from my keyboard, I terribly miss the hypnotically... awesome cherry keys. There seems to be some minor issues with some of these keyboards having bad keys, the letters rubbing off quite easily. While I have not personally experienced this, Corsair customer support is superb, so I wouldn't be worried.Wristpad is a tiny bit awkwardly shaped, but not too much of a complaint. Wouldn't have minded backlight keys as the M90. I only sprang for this keyboard because of the rubber WASD and 1-6 Keys, which btw are pretty cool.Very good keyboard. Although I did run into a little trouble where it wouldn't work in BIOS/UEFI. I think this may have been an issue on my part, it is resolved now.

If you are looking for a great gaming keyboard for fps gaming this is a definite buy. Corsair makes great products. I have their H50 water cooler and TX850 PSU in my current build. i had a razer lycosa key board that got the repeating key problem. This keyboard replaces that one. next on the list to make it a set is the corsair M60 mouse.

Comment:
I did a lot of research before buying this keyboard. After a few months of reading and experimenting I decided that the cherry red switches were the ones for me. Reds aren't the most common key switch so my options were a bit limited but The K60 was a pretty obvious choice in my case. The dedicated media controls work great out of the box and don't require holding a modifier key like many other mechanical keyboards. This was a big plus for me as I often like to change songs while playing online. Typing is fine, but the red switches activate really easily and have low resistance so most of the time you will be bottoming the keys out which can be fairly loud. I found that my typing has improved in terms of typos and speed, but I don't expect this to be true for everyone. For gaming the keyboard is just as well, it suits my needs quite well for RTS and FPS gaming. Quick and repetitive key presses are easy to do and the keystrokes register consistently. For longer, sustained presses these switches are really great due to the low resistance. My only real problem with the keyboard is that it isn't fully mechanical. It isn't an issue at all in terms of usability for the average user, but it definitely is noticeable when you reach over to hit one of the non-mechanical switches. There is a distinctly mushy feel. Not a huge deal but it would be nicer to have all the keys be mechanical. As my first mechanical keyboard, I am VERY pleased. The only advice I can give to prospective buyers is that when it comes to mechanical keyboards personal preference is a huge factor. I urge you to try AS MANY different types of switches as you can before buying, you will certainly get a feel for what you want and end up making a good purchase.

Corsair Vengeance K60 Performance FPS Cherry MX Red Mechanical 20 Key Rollover Gaming Keyboard USB
Cons:-Wrist rest is only good for gaming, feels uncomfortable when typing-No backlighting-The contoured WASD and 1-6 number keys have a odd feel and I personally don't like them at all-F keys are non mechanical (not a big deal for most)

Pros:-Mechanical Switches are light, enjoyable to type on and silent.-Looks Good, brushed aluminium look-Media Keys, Windows button enable/disable key-Raised keys makes it easier to clean-Gripped spacebar texture is nice
Comment:
Overall I really like this keyboard, it looks sleek and professional unlike most over glossed gaming keyboards. Great practicality with the raised keys, solid construction and the red mx switches are a joy.

Corsair Vengeance K60 Performance FPS Cherry MX Red Mechanical 20 Key Rollover Gaming Keyboard USB
Cons:-Aluminum finish may not match other decor-Not all keyswitches are Cherry MX Red-Gaming keycaps are not grippy as you would expect; weird texture-Wrist rest is intrusive for normal typing

Pros:-Solid; well built-Raised keys; no recesses-Thick braided cable-Additional gaming keycaps and WASD wrist rest
Comment:
I've only had the K60 a couple of days, but I have certainly done a ton of typing and a ton of gaming with it already. When you take this keyboard out of the box, you instantly feel how solid it is. The aluminum construction is nice to see in a PC gaming peripheral. Surprisingly the volume wheel positioned in the top right is also machined aluminum; very little use of plastic on the the surface of this keyboard. Oh so sexeh. The gaming keycaps really come down to personal preference. Since I do a lot of typing on this keyboard, I opted not to use the additional WASD keycaps. Much like the wrist rest, they were just too intrusive on my everyday typing. I did, however, use the 3, 4, 5 key caps, since it happens to be useful for my keybindings in MW3.With the non-recessed keys, this keyboard will be hella-easy to clean. This was pretty serious issue with my Logitech G15v1, where I had too much crud, dust, hair, cheetohs, chips, potatoes, and corn trapped in the prison beneath the keys. Only by removing all of the keycaps and then placing them back on again, would I be able to do a thorough clean of my G15, but with Corsair K60, I just have to use compressed air. And even if I wanted to remove the keycaps, it's relatively easy to do with the Cherry MX Red keyswitches.All-in-all, I would give this keyboard a 9/10. It performs exactly as I thought it would, with the only exception being that the gaming keycaps are a little too slippery for my liking. I will most likely be purchasing another K60 or possibly a K90 for a secondary gaming rig in the future!
