Overall, it's a really solid keyboard. Everything pretty much works as advertised (except for the G-key software which is buggy at times). Since the keys are floating, it makes the keyboard really easy to clean (except for the G-keys)To make it more balanced, I think Corsair should have put Cherry Blacks in stead of rubber domes for the contrast in actuativity. The domes feel rather flat in comparison to the rest of the keys. Also, they should have included a keycap puller with this keyboard like they do on the K60. The keys themselves feel pretty good, although they tend to get easily dirty. The media keys, on the other hand, feel cheap compared to the rest of the keyboard. Furthermore, with only one USB passthrough, I really wonder why the keyboard requires 2 USB ports on the computer instead of one (and limits how 'accessible' this port is)On a more personal note, it would be better to have Cherry Browns or blues rather than reds. Reds are a little too light for my taste. |

Great keyboard. I had to replace my old Logitech g15 and decided to try the mechanical keyboards. Great difference, I love the cherry red. The only problem that I had with this keyboard was the back-light of one of my keys. IT was DOA, so I had to replace the keyboard the same day with a new one. Because of this I cannot give it 5 stars. Other than that no problems with the new one. |

First of all, this keyboard is obviously a mechanical keyboard, which makes it really good in games, much more responsive and it makes typing much easier and much faster. They K90 uses the Red Cherry switches, i personally think that the Cherry Red is by far the best of its kind.Secondly, what would a gaming keyboard be like without LEDs! The LEDs on the k90 are reallly bright and giving the fact that the keys let the light through them makes it even better and easier to see! Another great thing about the LEDs on this keyboard, they are ajustable! ( 3 levels! )Obviously, this is a "MMO" keyboard... So it comes with 18 programmable buttons on the side. Those are really great. THey are really easy to configure (unlike the mouse driver this one works perfectly! ;)). There are also 3 different macro keys right next to the 18 Gkeys which allow you to have 3 different profiles up and running at the same time!The overall design of the keyboard is GREAT! First, has a nice and sturdy finish. It's a very heavy keyboard so it never moves unless you really want it to. Second, the wrist rest on this thing... Amazing. It's by far the best Wrist rest i've came across in a long time. Not to mention the fact that it cannot break... It's flexible!!!!!!!!The only thing i dislike about this keyboard when i bought it was the fact that it doesn't come with a key remover like the K60 do. Would've made the whole thing much easier to clean if need there is. But other than that? Nothing!Easy 5/5 Would buy again and recommend it to anyone who seeks a durable yet really useful keyboard! |

Great feel when typing and playing games. I especially love the way the keys feel. I was half expecting a clicky tactile response but there is none of that (thankfully). The keys have the exact amount of pressure I'd want to activate them, and the exact level of response. I also love the sound it makes when typing, especially the very subtle sound of the spring response It also looks great, not too tacky like you see with of so many gaming keyboards, and the way the frame is around the keys should make it a breeze to clean. Media controls and the Windows key lock are also great features.I know some people like it, but I don't very much like the way the backlight glows from around the keys. It is almost too much backlight shining in your eyes, and I would go so far as to say that it overpowers the intention of the backlight (that to make the keys easy to see in the dark). It's like someone has their high beams on, even at the lowest setting. I would much more prefer it if the backlight ONLY showed up through the letters on each key and didn't glow so brightly against the aluminum.The fact that not all the keys are mechanical. It's not a big deal when you are typing a lot, but every so often I reach over to hit the delete key or one of those other non-mechanical keys and the sudden mushyness is very disconcerting! |

Cons:- Cheap wrist rest. Imo on any KB you should replace it with a high quality memory foam at 15$ from a furniture store.- I would have liked to be able to unattach/remove the macro part because I will rarely use them and it just waste space on my desk.- Very expensive but if you can also get it like me at 118$ then jump on it as you'll never see it any lower and yet it still beat the ratio of price/quality of all other mechanical keyboards unless when the Steelseries 6Gv2 is on super sale at 60$ but I'd still consider the Corsair to be worth more.- The "Up Arrow" key could have been lower, it's a little arkward to use.- Only 1 color unlike the Saitek Eclipse III that I had which had up to 6 diff colors.
Pros:- Best looking keyboard I ever seen. Trust me it's WAY better in real than on any pictures.- Brightess backlight ever made! I like how it's also between the keys rather than just the letter that you see through the laser etching, also it reflects much better on aluminium than plastic.- Wow, I think it's the only keyboard that features full and real aluminium top, not a cheap plastic that looks like aluminium, it's real! :o- Cherry MX Red keys are imo the very best keys for chatting and gaming. I've tryed Blue (Blackwidow) for a month and Black (6Gv2) for exactly 1 year.- By far the best volume scroll wheel I've tryed. It's also in full aluminium and very smooth/accurate.- Macros for those who are gonna use them. They are also lower than other keys and of a diff backlit color so it's less confusing.- Media keys are perfect. Large enough, easy to reach and well placed.- Easier to clean than any other keyboard since the keys are raised up so you just have to use a air can. Comment:
Nothing is perfect so I can't give it 5 stars but so far it's the keyboard that comes the closest to perfection and only god knows how many keyboard I've owned and tryed within 12 years lol.. just way too much and nothing even comes close to this one. I can't see anyone disliking this keyboard seriously. Corsair came out of nowhere with only 2 products for keyboards and they totaly blown away the whole competition in a blink of an eye. |

Coming from a Tt Meka G1 mechanical keyboard (which is a great keyboard), I wanted a backlit keyboard to help with the dim lighting I prefer to work in. I love Corsair products so I didn't hesitate to purchase this and have no regrets. I had never tried MX red switches before and I find them to be more comfortable for typing and gaming than black switches. I know people gripe about some of the keys being domes but with the low frequency in hitting those keys, it's not an issue for me. The volume wheel is a nice touch as well and I use it more than expected. |

I have now played nine(9) hours of Battlefield with this board. I can safely say that this is a very adequate gaming board. It is true that not all the keys are mechanical but as I'm use to a G15 this doesn't bother me. Additionally this is the only mechanical keyboard I could find with macro keys and was by far the most attractive. The only down side I can find with this board is that having been use to a Logitech G15 rev2 (a membrane board) this one makes a lot of noise. |

Overall the keyboard is great really all keys not being Mechncial is not a huge deal since the response time is still the same. The wrist rest is not bad considering its built for gaming and it does feel conftable.Overall someone who is using this keyboard for other things besides gaming such as writting stories, office work, etc you may be disapointed since this keyboard is not ergonomic at all and its built for gaming. |
I did a lot of research into keyboards when it came time to replace my Microsoft Reclusa. I absolutely required backlighting and a volume knob as I can't stand volume buttons. So I decided on a K90.The mechanical keys definately take some getting used to. I have used a non-mechanical keyboard for more than a decade, so moving back to one takes some practice. Keypresses are loud with that classic PC XT sound. The Cherry MX keys are responsive and don't require a full press to activate.The Macro keys work just fine. I particularly like how they are at a slightly lower level than the rest of the keys. I also like how they are in 3 functional 3x2 grids which helps in hitting the correct one by feel.I was initially worried that this keyboard would be more "gaming" and less typing, but I seem to have no problems with writing and I imagine I will get better at it as I get used to the different feel.
